So she is asking the river what to do, she has no parents, and has thoughts of suicide. You have to love the sounds of nature in this, and the howling of the wolf and other critters. This show, You Are Super, is a competition for Orphaned and disadvantaged children, Diana was an orphan. So the reason of them facing the competitors is simply, if 3 or more judges hit the green light buzzer, that performer moves on to the next round. The woman clenching her hands under her chin near the end, is her adopted mother. She has a lot to do with Diana and her . success ; D You listen to so much talent out there in the world, can you think of any other singer performers that can come close to Diana or Dimash? I have 2 recommendations for you: 1. To see more of her acting as she sings and her funny side, react to her cover of Camila Cabello HAVANA (so subtitles needed, she sings in English). 2. Since you mentioned the Voice, she did do a blind audition in the Russian The Voice with the song Jodel Time. She truly went full jodeling (impressive), but the judges were confused as to what was happening and time ran out before they could hit the buzzer, so heartbreaking, but se reacted like the true artist she is. Try to get the one with the English subtitles so you can go along all their confusion while she was singing, and through all the regret afterwards... I think is a gem of video that not many people react to....

I am not sure if anyone already provided the info but this is not Voice. There is a Russian version of Voice and it works exactly the same way (chairs are turned back). This show is called You are Super and is designed for disadvantaged children. Diana was taken into state care as a child and adopted. The show is meant to give a chance to talented kids that overcame difficult life situations. This is an annual show. Diana won that year and Igor Krutoy (who works with Dimash) actually gifted her an apartment in Moscow so she could move and enter university in Moscow.

The way you pronounced her name is pretty good, but there's a hard ch as in change . Subtitles are pretty spot on. Rechenka = River/ She talking about the Inn she has, and she has everything, Horses, and the pens are full of animals, the Inn is full with patrons, yet here she is, and orphan that "has to marry someone she doesn't want to marry. I believe Rechenka means River and is a folk song. Is impressive how she matches her voice to nature's sounds... and NO, is not a swamp, the stage is supposed to be a river... lol. hahahaha... I have 2 recommendations for you: 1. To see more of her acting as she sings and her funny side, react to her cover of Camila Cabello HAVANA (so subtitles needed, she sings in English). 2. Since you mentioned the Voice, she did do a blind audition in the Russian The Voice with the song Jodel Time. She truly went full jodeling (impressive), but the judges were confused as to what was happening and time ran out before they could hit the buzzer, so heartbreaking, but se reacted like the true artist she is. Try to get the one with the English subtitles so you can go along all their confusion while she was singing, and through all the regret afterwards... I think is a gem of video that not many people react to....

I am not sure if anyone already provided the info but this is not Voice. There is a Russian version of Voice and it works exactly the same way (chairs are turned back). This show is called You are Super and is designed for disadvantaged children. Diana was taken into state care as a child and adopted. The show is meant to give a chance to talented kids that overcame difficult life situations. This is an annual show. Diana won that year and Igor Krutoy (who works with Dimash) actually gifted her an apartment in Moscow so she could move and enter university in Moscow.

An orphan girl from a foster family is married off (most likely, to a man older than her and not of her own free will). She comes to the river (reka), affectionately calling it rechenka. The river in the folklore of many peoples is the border between the world of the living and the dead. She turns to her deceased parents: she asks for advice and blessings. An orphan girl is faced with a choice - to drown herself, committing the sin of suicide, or still accept the circumstances and "go with the flow". What will she choose? This is decided by the audience together with the performer of this song.
