Thanks for the vid Kevin. I shot with everything from leica to contax to nikon but settled with Fujifilm since S1Pro. I still have S3pro, X100S, and X70. I couldn't agree with you more on all the facts regarding fujifilm. I too started as a wedding photographer but I am more settled in documentary street photography on my days off from my main career. Unfortunate that photography didn't translate into putting food on the table for my family. But your explanation of "breathing photography" is what I found with fujifilm camera. I truly appreciate your vids and your expertise. Stay safe.
Great video. What a shame about Photokina.. never had the opportunity to go. Loving your pics, and it was great shooting Dan & Lucy's incredible wedding with you
Kevin, I rarely comment on any RUclips video! There is something magical about how you capture your frames! I love your approach and analogy. I shoot FujiFilm since 2010 switching from Canon and it’s been a joy shooting every time I pick up the camera. Your speech is a true reminder to why I love photography and enjoy Fujifilm. Thank you for sharing this.
Loved it! Thanks for sharing! Made me pick up the x100f and take some photos of the family. 😊👍 By the way, you're the reason I've been a Fuji user for about....6 (?) years! So thank you for that! Really love your podcasts (with Mr. Velvet Voice; Neale James 😊), too! Look forward to your next videos! Stay safe!
i'm a wedding photographer since 5 years. i'm a fujifilm photographer since 3 months. but i know you, since more than i shoot with fuji. and i don't have idols. but you are an inspiration. thank you from switzerland!
Thanks for posting this Kevin, I found it really informative. Do you get guests at weddings asking you to photograph them in the traditional, non candid way? and if so, how do you handle it? Have a bride and groom ever asked you to mix your reportage style with traditional posed shots, such as just one group photo? Sorry for all the questions but I would very much like to try out this style of wedding photography, I find it something I'm excited about rather than nervous about, if that makes sense.
Love the photos!!!! I’ve only been shooting one camera one focal length for the past 1.5 years and that been with the X100F (sold for the X100V). I can’t say enough praise about this little camera and how much it has redefined my photography for the better. Like you I mostly been shooting my family and documenting my son’s life, and I mostly shoot with ACROS. Great video and love the content of your channel!!
Kevin, what a great video. I am not a professional, but the practice of capturing candid photos of my family is something I have been doing for many years. You are so right, if those moments are not in photos, they will be lost forever.
Great video Kevin. I highly respect you as a person and photographer and share you among the wise Photographers I follow like Zack Arias, Peter Coulson, Karl Taylor. All top in their field of expertise and sharing knowledge without an excess of commercial intentions. And I need to mention Ted Vieira too, for obvious reasons if you visit his channel. I have to admit I abandoned the Fuji ship and went further down the road and never regret it. I am a thru follower of "get it right in the shot" and minimise post editing (if possible) . Always great to watch your video's and your style of shooting. Black and White Photography Matters !! ;-) Be Safe , you hear !!
I love this video too and the great photographs.I shoot many years with nikon but I lover my fujicameras more and more.I love my Xpro2 & 3 mostly and the X-H1.Sometimes I think I must crazy but I love photography so much!
I loved your Video Kevin. Funny enough I have worked on PhotoKina in Cologne about 4 times for a large company beginning with C. I converted to Fujifilm about 3 years ago and haven't looked back. I started off with an XT2 and have had the XT4 for about 6 m months now. I shall definitely be looking at your Courses.
Just saw (thanks to this video) that Photokina is no more, this makes me incredible sad, I always wanted to go there one day. But as always, if you want something, do it as soon as you can, you never know if you will be able to do it later. Thanks for the talk Kevin! great as always :)
Hi, Kevin! Thanks for this video. Your work is really inspiring. I have been loving the your channel & the Fujicast recently. Thanks for the work you put into this content.
I love your work, you take beautifull and great picture. I am still trying to accepting and learning to handle fuji slow af for that candid-documentary work.
Very interesting, just a question if you don't mind... the choice of B/W rather than color for a shooting is up to you and the clients are chosing you for this or it's decided with the clients every time?
Very nice presentation with beautiful images but I think that even if you had a big DSLR you still would find a way to shoot the weddings in the same beautiful and candid way. Can't wait for your next video, greetings from Greece, your Fujicast listener Mr. Fakinos!
Love the photos, especially the ones in the delivery room! Thanks for sharing, Kevin and I hope everything is well on your end. Sending love from Shanghai.
Thanks always really interested in your approach - love the shoot in B&W with raw alongside to see the light better tip, will certainly be giving that a try. Stay safe.
Nice presentation, love watching your vids. Can i ask how you process your fuji raw files. Have just found out about the "worms" in lightroom. Am looking to iridient x transformer as i have alot of stuff in lightroom.
Thanks, Andy. These days I use my presets but there is videos on my channel about how I edit RAWs etc. I've never experienced the "worms" - I think that comes about by over sharpening in LR.
Hello sir kev, i was so amazed by your works. it's a what we called piece or art when it comes to photography. sir i just want if xt1 can handle wedding photography today? cause i switched to fuji last month and the only fuji i can afford is xt1 and im a wedding photographer also, is it worth it for wedding this days? thank you in advance sir kev, Godbless always and thank you for motivating us
Hi there. Well, I shot many weddings with X-T1 so yes, it can do it. Of course the newer cameras have fast AF and low light etc, but the X-T1 still does what it needs to do.
@@kevin_mullins Wow nice! Thank you sir for the fast reply! waiting for your uploads and btw i love the way you make slideshow with your amazing B/W wedding/street photos
This was great. It’s a shame that trade shows are in extinction mainly because I think virtual exhibitions and in near future exhibitions through Oculus headsets will become the norm.
The Mic is a Shure SM7B. It's. Industry standard and used in recording studios around the world. I'm pretty sure they won't make a smaller version just for me.
This is perhaps my last-ever talk at the wonderful Photokina. For those of you who have asked if any of my talks are online. This one is for you :-)
Thank you Kevin, sooo inspiring..

I was one of the lucky ones that saw your great talk live at the photokina.
Thanks Tolga! Glad you enjoyed in real life :-)
Loved this video and seeing work from a fellow Fuji shooter. Couldn’t agree more that it’s about the memories!
Thanks, Caitlin. Hope you are well.
OMG, I just viewed this Maja meets Lenny. I am so blown away. It is one of the most beautiful moments I have seen. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks Kevin, really enjoyed this and the images were amazing.

These are absolutely marvellous photos. I am a stranger but they evoke real emotions in me! Bravo!

Incredible, as always. Thanks Kev for sharing so much of yourself with us 😁
Kevin love your videos and advice. Major moment in my own learning and development is seeing the light in black and white, thank you for this!
Thank you!

It's up to me generally. The marketing drives clients that want that. That said, if they do want to discuss it I always will of course.
@@kevin_mullins thank's a lot for the answer
Great talk and incredible images - thanks for posting this. Made me pull out my X100s and polish it for tomorrow.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video as always Kevin.
Thanks Steve 👍

Hey, George. Thanks for the comment & I hope you are well :-)
That was wonderful, I really enjoyed how you connected with the families and told their story.
Thank you so much!
So sad that we never get another Photokina. Love the video and the podcast. Looking to get the X-A7 soon, can't wait to get some Fuji primes!!
Thanks for watching! And yes, very sad about Photokina.
Brilliant work brilliant talk. So happy to've found you! cheers!
Thank you kindly!

Thanks Linfeng. We are good and I hope you are too. Speak soon, Kevin
Stunning photos. Just amazing.
Many thanks!
Nicely done. Sure inspires a new approach to photography at the next wedding I attend as a guest. Be unobtrusive, capture the moment.
Have fun!
Super video and lots of wonderful images

Thank you kindly.
Your presentation was very thoughtful and the images are wonderful.
Thank you very much!
Fantastic Kevin. This was really inspiring. Can I ask - what flash do you use on the dancefloor for pictures like 21:27 ?
No flash, Chris. It's an manfrotto lumimuse mini light in my hand.
This is some great material to share!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video. Would love a video on your spot metering technique
Noted! :-)
Than you for sharing Kevin. Love your work and pasion!1

Superb, thank you.
Glad you liked it!

Thank you!
This you need a bigger mic 🎙 Kev! 🤣👍
lol!
Your mic could be a little smaller; it's really distracting.
The Mic is a Shure SM7B. It's. Industry standard and used in recording studios around the world. I'm pretty sure they won't make a smaller version just for me.
@@kevin_mullins What I meant was that that are less intrusive mics that work fine too for youtubers..
Not really, tbh. I've tried many. This is a large echoy room. This is by far the best if people want good audio on this channel.
I'm not crying, you're crying...
Some amazing pictures there, the final photo video was just all the feels.
Thank you!
That was the last Photokina. Never again. Fact is it is no longer needed.
It's very sad. Was a great event.
Documentary photographer? Do you do divorces as well?
Not really sure I understand that question.
All this talk about photography...is it really necessary?
Well, it's a photography channel, so I'd guess it is.
