I just watched this one week after buying the DJI Goggles (I saw Ken using them so I went to Amazon and purchased them). I see that they are extremely bulky compared to the other one. Man, I hope that I made the right choice. I did, however, just now learn of the cable and adapter. So I quickly ordered those so when I get back home next week they will all be waiting for me. Thanks to the both of you for this video AND the links to Amazon purchases.
Funny video guys! Seriously though, we really like our DJI goggles. Been using them for several months now with no issues or glitches. Killer picture, easy to use, and fast setup once you get a routine going. My wife and I are very organized, so when we get where we’re going, we’re up and running in minutes. I’ve never timed our setup routine, but it’s not much, plus, we don’t rush anything so no mistakes are made. Both sets of goggles have performed flawlessly and we are still very impressed and pleased. We’ve looked into the Fat Sharks, but still feel the DJI goggles rule. Keep the videos coming, we always enjoy them, no matter the content. Take care, Jeff n Diane.
I just want to say Thank you for all that you do to make people smile, laugh, and have a good time. I know its a lot of work. I like what they did to the tower/tree. I hope to see more of them or not. If they "blend" in. ☺️ Hope Dana finds that cord soon. Sux having something nice and not being able to use it. Like a car with 3 wheels! Lol
VERY true! Thanks for the nice comment. It really IS a lot of work, but knowing you guys are enjoying them keeps me motivated. By the way, don't forget to watch our LIVE show this Thursday. It starts streaming at 7pm Central, US. We will talk about the latest aerial photography stuff and will be giving away a drone!
I guess you did not watch the DJI tutorial and listen for the "click" when head strap buckle is fully engaged. Any damage? I love my goggles. I have a setup video that has the very basics for those thinking about the purchase if having the Phantom 4 series and not going wireless like the Ocusynce Mavic Pro and Spark.. Nice having Dana in your videos, you guys are a riot.
Thank you Addy! I'm glad you enjoyed the antics! Yeah, poor Dana. That was his very first time setting up, so he wasn't familiar with the CLICK part. By the way, don't forget to watch our LIVE show this Thursday. It starts streaming at 7pm Central, US. We will talk about the latest aerial photography stuff and will be giving away a drone!
Haaarr, this was really entertaining and enjoyable to watch! As I said for you last video, and that before, and that before that, and those 427 others: One of your best!
Thank you VERY much!! By the way, don't forget to watch our LIVE show this Thursday. It starts streaming at 7pm Central, US. We will talk about the latest aerial photography stuff and will be giving away a drone!
I really don’t think the set up time have anything really to do with it this is not about fast set up timer which produces large mistakes can be dangerous and hurt someone also the DJI goggles are so far ahead of the fact charge they really shouldn’t even be compared together
Thank you very much! That comment made MY night! By the way, don't forget to watch our LIVE show this Thursday. It starts streaming at 7pm Central, US. We will talk about the latest aerial photography stuff and will be giving away a drone!

You guys get me rolling over falling apart laughing about your "cord" adventures, thanks for sharing, but hey, the toothpick is safe!!! greetings from SoCal
Very good Video Ken - mmmmm meatballs! My DJI Goggles came with 2 leads (HDMI & USB ) so have had no problem connecting and using with my P4P+. The goggles work really well, the only problem I found was that you cannot focus the goggles for your eyes. However, using my reading glasses whilst flying seemed to fix that.
I thought the hdmi port is an option for phantom 4s? The spark is suppose to use USB though you'd lose being able to use your phone at the same time as the goggles which might present a problem
I would go for the Fatsharks. (Link in the description.) The second generation DJI Goggles will be MUCH better. And smaller. I'd wait to see what they are like. By the way, don't forget to watch our LIVE show this Thursday. It starts streaming at 7pm Central, US. We will talk about the latest aerial photography stuff and will be giving away a drone!
Guys! I’m really enjoying this. Aaaaaaaah, hahahahaha, I’m watching this in real time as I’m writing.... hahahahahahahahaha. Meatballs. Oh lord. I love you!
Ken, I am blind in one eye due to a childhood accident. Can you operate the drone using the DJI goggles if you close your left eye or is there critical information displayed on that side? I know some goggles are monoscopic, but some are stereoscopic and display different info on each display but appears normal for most people. Before I shell out big money, I'd like to know.
No, it was the cord. Apparently, DJI uses a 1.4 HDMI type or something. (Learning new stuff every day.) Thanks for the idea though! By the way, don't forget to watch our LIVE show this Thursday. It starts streaming at 7pm Central, US. We will talk about the latest aerial photography stuff and will be giving away a drone!
Hey Ken! I was wondering what case you used for transporting your drone. It looks like it does the job well.(I've been looking through your videos to see if I could find some sort of brand for it but couldn't, haha). I would like to look into getting a case for mine. Thanks!
Here's the case I use: www.coptersource.com/products/phantom-4-waterproof-hard-case By the way, don't forget to watch our LIVE show this Thursday. It starts streaming at 7pm Central, US. We will talk about the latest aerial photography stuff and will be giving away a drone!
Ken, would you be so kind as to Detail the cable connections of the FatShark Goggles for a Mavic Pro and controller, with a tablet in a tablet holder. Thanks :).
Hay Ken, I know I’m a little bit late on the comment. But I have a question about my drone. I have the phantom 3se and threw trees I get about 2000 feet before loosing connection. It does not have light brige in it. Instead it uses a WiFi connection. I was thinking about getting the phantom 3pro. What kind of battery did u get out of it and what range did u get. And if it is not any trouble, do u think u can fly 400 feet across pure trees and see the range. I have about 8 miles of nothing but tree. At my house. Thanks.
Hello from 🇺🇸Harrisburg Pennsylvania 🇺🇸 I have a Mavic Pro & Phantom 4PRO Plus using my DJI GOGGLES my Question for you is are your Fat shark goggles better than DJI Goggles?????
Great video...and funny stuff! You guys should do more. Toilet seat...hilarious! Not enough video quality edge in the DJIs to make me suffer that kind of embarrassment in wearing them. Subbed.
So my EVO VR goggle I bought for 5 dollars used with my old IPhone 6S I no longer have activated with a carrier.......my setup was about 1 minute 38 seconds. Costs less than both, works with my P3S unlike the Fat Shark and DJI Goggles and I get respectable quality video. The Drone VR app provides me the core data I need and even allows me to move the gimbal or drone using my head movement while in flight. So for those of you that don't have a P4/Mavic and still want the VR ability give it a shot. When Dana dropped the goggles I did get a bit light headed and wanted to cry a bit.
Great video man. I just purchased a p4p and love it but the video constantly blinks and sometimes goes green when roughly 500 meters distance is this normal ? Did you ever experience this ?
Ken Heron hello thanks for the help this didn't really help as I'm running latest os on my p4p it seems when switched to 2.4ghz it helped a bit. Any other suggestions

I will be looking forward to your next unbiased test of the DJI Googles. Keep those entertaining videos coming! Thanks
OUCH! I felt Dana's pain when his Goggles fell. I recently had a similar experience with my Goggles. Now, I vigilantly make sure it clicks when attaching the headband...
Very clever Ken, I liked how upset you where in the car and had to have Dana speak. For real though the DJI goggles look way bigger and heavier on your head, don't include the HDMI adapter and then make it impossible to use with not even supplying the cable.Very sad to see that 3rd party companies normally do it better and for cheaper too.
Ken I have seen some of your videos you flying with DJI googles, did you get some or your using someone else’s? I tried to find the answer with a search as you requested but could not find it.
Am I mistaken or is that the Sam Ash in rivergate? lol I live in the Hville area and love your vids! Especially the one of Johnny Cash's old home. I remember seeing the fire from across the lake the day it happened. Also, Saunders Ferry Park has some amazing views and great vantage points. There are also several approved locations to launch near the water in Hendersonville and Gallatin (specifically approved for drones by the corps of engineers), would love to fly with you sometime! I want to go film the abandoned cooling tower in Hartsville like you did, but I'm not sure I want to do that flight solo. Keep up the awesome content!
I use an iPad Air. If it was the small white one, that's Dana's iPad mini. By the way, don't forget to watch our LIVE show this Thursday. It starts streaming at 7pm Central, US. We will talk about the latest aerial photography stuff and will be giving away a drone!

Well you keep clearing up my fears of flying in near antennas. I have always been worried about harmonic interference. But apparently the receivers in our drones are much tighter than the Chinese ham radios which I use as scanner for law enforcement!
Please try again when Dana gets to play with the DJI goggles a little bit I think the DJI Are made for filming as the Fat shark are made for racing it is very hard to remove the fat shark when your flying but with the DJI you just flip up and down when needed as you fly.
You two should have a TV show together, your brilliant. Btw Ken, you never did check your private messages when you was looking for a virtual cables solution. My reply to your question is still there mate 🙂
I use the usb only on my P4P. The HDMI doesn't give you the menus or headtracking etc. It will work with HDMI if you get enough adapters but it's only a lower res view with no "fun" stuff
I rember in good olde days. You just had travel to your Local TV repair shop and With their trusty soldering Iron they fabric any adapter, Fangeled wire you could imagine.
I don't think you'll get very good results filming the sun with a drone. You'd be better served using a ground camera. Here's the filter I'm using with my camera: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DS7IFQS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It's unavailable now, but you can find a similar product.
I purchased an "Epic Filter" that was advertised to make all of your video footage epic... I unboxed a piece of glass... So I plan to point the camera (complete with glass) towards the sun next MONDAY...! [revenge is SO sweet!] :\
Woodchuck while you won't be able to film the sun itself, you should be able to get a really cool 360 degree sunset and possibly a very cool time lapse of the shadow passing by. That's what I am aiming for. I would go with an ND8 filter or no filter if doing photography (more light, lower ISO when it gets dark).
I just watched this one week after buying the DJI Goggles (I saw Ken using them so I went to Amazon and purchased them). I see that they are extremely bulky compared to the other one. Man, I hope that I made the right choice.

I love your channel so much!!!!
Thank you Elliot!
Oh yeah. Couldn't see for looking. Keep up the good work. 👍
does trick work with the DJI spark also. I never thought about flying fpv with sparky before. Seems like all I’m missing is the cord of doom. Thanks
What I love about this video is that I've launched the goggles off the headband too!
Oh NOOO!!!
CAUTION! 10:30 volume auto increase.
Great video guys!
I laughed a lot on this video! Great job!
Thank you so much!
You are always good for a laugh
Another good video, Ken! Looks like you guys have my luck when I am running from store to store looking for a cable! :)
Yeah... Cable searching is NO FUN.
Great vid Ken very useful: )
That was great you two. That DJI goggle looks huge. Fun video thanks Ken and Dana and Dana your first you cheated lol

Ken, I just received notice that the new Limited Edition Attitude V4 Headset from Fat Shark is out. Hopefully you will do a test on it.
Thanks Jerry!

DJI goggles are monoscopic. You should be fine. Have fun!!

Hay Ken, I know I’m a little bit late on the comment. But I have a question about my drone. I have the phantom 3se and threw trees I get about 2000 feet before loosing connection. The Phantom 3 Pro is a great drone! You'll have plenty of range and flight time.
Ok!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!!! I saw some videos and some people got the p3pro to go farther than the p4. Thanks again.
Hello from 🇺🇸Harrisburg Pennsylvania 🇺🇸 I have a Mavic Pro & Phantom 4PRO Plus using my DJI GOGGLES my Question for you is are your Fat shark goggles better than DJI Goggles?????

Where's the cord they came with the dji goggles?
Adidasp4 dji goggles come with mini HDMI!!!
I'm dying over here.. lol
Great footage of "Frankenpine"!
HAHAA!!
Hi Ken thanks for info regarding decals for my phantom 4 I've ordered 2 sets from your friend
That's great!

I was told that`(by the DJI support) the dji goggles were able to connect through USB to the phantom, isn't that correct?
Yes, but you won't be able to use a tablet. HDMI allows you to use them simultaneously.
Hi Ken. I believe that you use “Air Map” . How about a review/ tutorial, explaination, video . Especially if you could compare it to Go4. Litchi, etc.
Great video man. I just purchased a p4p and love it but the video constantly blinks and sometimes goes green when roughly 500 meters distance is this normal ? Did you ever experience this ?

Ken, I know you are going to give the DJI Googles a fair hearing in the near future. It kind of looked like there was a strong biases towards the Fat Sharks. Ha!! All good points. We'll have more with DJI Goggles soon.
OUCH! I felt Dana's pain when his Goggles fell. I recently had a similar experience with my Goggles. Now, I vigilantly make sure it clicks when attaching the headband...

For real though the DJI goggles look way bigger and heavier on your head, don't include the HDMI adapter and then make it impossible to use with not even supplying the cable.Very sad to see that 3rd party companies normally do it better and for cheaper too.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm sure DJI will improve things (and size) on the second generation of goggles.
Loved the clip guys. Oops!
Very nice flying around the tower. . Looks like it's spinning in place! Was that Dana?
Man. . . .ssssmmmmoooootttthhhhh!!
I'm gonna come to Nashville just to watch your fingers! Ooops. . Was the creepy?
CORRECTION! Dana WAS with me, but it was me flying around the tower.
I thought you were talking about a different video. Heh.
HA!! I'll make a fideo of my fingers. --Um... That did sound dirty.
Ken I have seen some of your videos you flying with DJI googles, did you get some or your using someone else’s? I tried to find the answer with a search as you requested but could not find it.
Hey Brad. I bought a used pair a few months ago.
i laugh so hard at your videos some times i vapor lock lol
HAA! Vapor-Lock. Thanks!

Hello Ken, will the Fatshark Dominator V3 Goggles work with the Mavic Pro?
If they have HDMI out, then yes.
And if it doesn't, could the answer still be yes with a usb to HDMI adapter?
Hey ken, Where is the link for the Fat fish googles. Ready to get those and the cord
amzn.to/2fIQ8fE
What IPad are you using in this video? Looks like the new 10.5”. If so, does it work well?
I use an iPad Air. If it was the small white one, that's Dana's iPad mini.

I had a hard time finding the cable too. Love the antenna at the end.
Thanks bud!
So I'm guessing that DJI fix the compatibility with the shark goggles.
Did you ever do a follow-up about why you had the problem with the shark goggles in the first place...
It's the same in Australia, no stores stock the cables you actually need.....I had to eBay one and then wait for delivery and everything was OK. :)
That's always the way, right? Dang. Glad you got it sorted.
Other than set up speed and assembling issues due to gravity. Did you like the DJI goggles?
I'm not a fan. I'll wait and see what the second-gen DJI goggles will be like.
By the way, don't forget to watch our LIVE show this Thursday.
It starts streaming at 7pm Central, US. We will talk about the latest aerial photography stuff and will be giving away a drone!
Ken, is there a way to use the Fat Sharks with the Phantom 4 V2? The HDMI Module only works with the V1 controller. Have you found a way?
Good question!
Let me investigate that.
Thanks! If anyone can figure it out , you can! Thanks Ken!
Ken, any progress/ answers on this yet? Thanks
Well you keep clearing up my fears of flying in near antennas. I have always been worried about harmonic interference. But apparently the receivers in our drones are much tighter than the Chinese ham radios which I use as scanner for law enforcement!
Great!
I have never had an issue flying around ANY sort of antenna.
Please try again when Dana gets to play with the DJI goggles a little bit I think the DJI Are made for filming as the Fat shark
are made for racing it is very hard to remove the fat shark when your flying but with the DJI you just flip up and down when
needed as you fly.

You two should have a TV show together, your brilliant. Btw Ken, you never did check your private messages when you was looking for a virtual cables solution. My reply to your question is still there mate 🙂
Thanks Arthur!
I managed to figure things out.
We actually do have a TV show... Right here tomorrow night!
LIVE every Thursday at 7pm Central, US.
Where can I watch that mate, I'm in the UK?
I use the usb only on my P4P. The HDMI doesn't give you the menus or headtracking etc. It will work with HDMI if you get enough adapters but it's only a lower res view with no "fun" stuff
Basically using Goggles instead of Phone/Tablet
HDMI supports simultaneous goggle/tablet transmission. USB image quality doesn't measure up to the goggle's potential.
Strongly disagree.
Hey Ken, Can get a pair of Moverio BT-300 Smart glasses and do a review on them?
I've been emailing the company, but no reply yet. We'll see...
I'd be curious to see what your impressions are. They are pricey but after you try them you may be tempted to leave the Fatsharks at home.
You guys crack me up!
So glad you enjoy it!!
This video made me laugh so many times. So, who is the PIC during this one? Dana needs a neck strap for the goggles.
Hay, Ken do you think there will be a Phatom 5.
I don't.
😥
I rember in good olde days.
You just had travel to your
Local TV repair shop and
With their trusty soldering
Iron they fabric any adapter,
Fangeled wire you could imagine.
Can the fatshark be used for VR goggles? I mean, it have an hdmi input and a gyro. But i don't have fatshark goggles. So i can't try :(
Yes, it has HDMI in.
Ken what filter would you recommend for the Phantom 4 to film the solar eclipse
I don't think you'll get very good results filming the sun with a drone. You'd be better served using a ground camera.
Here's the filter I'm using with my camera: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DS7IFQS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's unavailable now, but you can find a similar product.
Hey Ken are you going to get a Drone footage of the Solar Eclipse next week, that would be awesome if you get it =D
Not with the drone. That would be pointless.
