Grew up in Chamberlain Ave in the 70s and 80s so know some history of the gang tensions, sad to see the township looks worse in your video, haven’t been home for 5 years, mum still lives there and my ancestors buried everywhere. Great to see some initiatives taking place but you have to keep grinding away cause life takes over and things get tough, people disagree or lose their goals so keep doing what you’re trying to achieve and good luck.

Too much for doing this bro. Born and raised in Wairoa and roamed these streets as a kid, so i love this.
I remember me and my cousin walking back from town carrying alcohol through that alley 1 night, and 1 house had a rottweiler. As we walked past, the rotty growled and started chasing us so we ran like f**k. The cuz said the dog was right on his ass and he was ready to throw the box of steinys😂
Well done to these bros for making big change, because that is hard. But i see the things that helped them change their mind-set was Maoritanga and God. So Kia Ora God Bless you all

I stayed up in wairoa for a few months back in 2005 to help break in some wild horses and i absolutely loved it.
Being a white girl from chch i felt hard out of place @ first, but the people were all so warm and welcoming to me & i felt right at home by the time i left....i come from a bike club/gang family and i grew up in state care etc so none of that stuff up there really phased me, it was more being so white and uncultured that had me feeling out of place but i wasnt treated different, most people thought chch was all skinheads and racism and was somewhere to be avoided so we educated eachother on our home towns and i left Wairoa with a heavy sadness....i didnt want to leave.
ill always be fond of that beautiful wee place, and even more so the gorgeous souls who live there and made me feel like whanau. Arohanui 💫

Beautiful town, great content. Nothin more attractive to us woman than a strong man, meaning being strong of mind to stand n walk n his own power on his own if necessary to be true to himself above all else, being the best example n teacher in this realm to our tamariki ( we are a village) and being strong enough to control his emotions n be gentle with his hands n mouth 💖 we are all brothers n sisters. One love one heart. Lets beat in unison so we can beat the system. The system is structured to devide n conquer. It is a compilation of corporations that profit from us. Prisons, lawyers, judges, police all make millions every year while our tamariki n communities miss out in so many ways with the absence of our men. schools are institutions to indoctrination n are no place for pur tamariki. United we are powerful. Kia kaha whanau. Aroha from Poi e coumtry

As a normal law abiding citizen who works a normal working class job. I’m always struck by the way I always am struggling to just get by week to week. But the crims are all driving around in their flash cars. Designer clothes. Gold chains and fancy sunglasses and haircuts after spending years in prison.

Something aint write bro I agree. Look into islam and see ex gang members who changed thier ways. See if they still carry the old life. Change is not what we say it's what we do also. Your very upsorvent bro.
