The choir also qualifies at the 2025 European Grand Prix for Choral Singing in Tolosa, Spain. This historic feat marks LCDM as the FIRST FILIPINO COMMUNITY CHOIR to represent the country in the EGP! ✊🇵🇭

LCDM is a community choir composed of students, young professionals, and devoted musicians. Since its foundation in 2014, the choir has been learning new vocal techniques and the virtues of dedication, respect, humility, and loyalty. Under the baton of Darwin Vargas, Los Cantantes de Manila (Philippines) 🇵🇭 won the Grand Prix in the 2015 Busan International Choral Festival and Competition in Busan, South Korea. In 2017, Los Cantantes de Manila won the 1st prize and 2 special awards in the popular choir music category of the prestigious Marktoberdorf International Chamber Choir Competition held in Germany. The choir was classified with an achievement level I rating - the highest rating - indicating that the choir gave an excellent performance at an international level. A two-time winner of the Ani ng Dangal, an award handed by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts to recognize its international championships, Los Cantantes de Manila (Philippines) 🇵🇭 was acclaimed champion in the mixed choir category of 2023 Marktoberdorf International Chamber Choir Competition, including 3 special prizes and maintaining the achievement level I rating. Moreover, the group won the 1st prize in the folklore category in the recent edition of Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival. Committed to its mission of being cultural ambassadors for their country, Los Cantantes de Manila continuously harnesses its craft to promote goodwill and excellence through its God-given gift of ethereal music.

Congratulations LCDM.. Ang liit ang prize money. Sa dami nila kulang eto para sa hotel, meal and plane ticket nila. Top 2 ang PH (LCDM & Imusicapella).
Kaya ang ginagawa ng mga kababayan natin na lumalaban sa Europe, sinasamahan ng concert tour doon para naman kahit papaano, kikita sila.
Inaabangan din usually ang concert tours ng mga yan.

Congratulations kabayan for lifting out pride as Filipinos internationally. Sana lang ma-epromote din yung mga gawang tela ng ating mga kababayan na IP at yun gawing suits o gown upang makatulong din sa kanila. Maganda kase colorful & it shows our culture. Sana magkaroon ng batas promoting yung mga tela na habi ng mga katutubo.
This is a singing contest and not a cultural contest. The price money is known in advance, if it is too small for you then donate some money yourself or convince them to just stay home and not travel to other countries. The honor they achieve is much more than any monetary concern you have, shame.
