- I rarely use the word "perfect", but this new offering from Custom Knife Factory seems to wear the title well. There's nothing about it that I would change, and it's been near impossible to kick it out of my pocket to carry something else.
reminds me a bit of tashi bharucha's Future, blade to handle proportions
Nice review , you got me excited for the release !! .... I feel the same way about the CKF/Tuff 'switch' thought they did such a killer job on that colab ..... I will def be in line to try and get one of these also !

Damn, I’m not a huge knife guy who has 100 knives that are expensive as hell, but I can definitely understand why someone would spend that kind of money on a awesome knife weather it’s mid tech, custom or even some production knives. For myself I only usually have like 7 or 8 knives. My most expensive ones are probably my benchmade infidel or my microtech ultra tech. One of these days though I’m going to buy a beautiful knife like this one to use and I know it will be good for life.

Hey Jim thanks for a great review. I was wondering is there a pre order list I can get on for your up and coming CKF folder? Yes I know I don't have a clue what the knife even is but I've seen a number of your fixed blades and I'd be willing to bet it's going to be cool AF to say the least.

Is there anything I can do to mine to move the blade centering over? It's just a little off. I was thinking new washers could move it some. Maybe .2000 on one side and .2400 on the other?

How about the CKF fif23? I have that, and it's amazingly absurdly perfect
TylerDD they did an amazing job on those as well. I didn’t get one because I hate front flippers but the execution and finishing was amazing. I handled one at BLADE Show this year.
I have put the FIF23 as my knife of the year 2019.
And also the DCPT Tano as most exciting knife of the year.
Without a doubt CKF is on a roll.
@@WillEDC I love that knife but for me it couldn't be knife of the year, it's styling is a gent knife but it's fucking huge, big enough to be a tough user but you'll never use it, it's definitely a safe queen, still love it though.
That is unreal , the action and even the sound of it is amazing. It kills me that i live in UK and my people have been neutered .

CKF has been killing it lately.
CKF is the absolute bomb. I have one, the VENOM New Concept by Kevin John and it's a true jewel, the rival of Reate knives that have $100-$150 more. That's no hype.

I agree with the 9/10 but not because of the groove pattern, I am just not a fan of that thumbstud placement.

I just finished reviewing this knife. This is true work of art and aesthetically so pleasing to my eyes... It's the elegant & sexy beast of a knife, yet aggressive and bad ass .. True work of art and perfection. Two small issues I found on the knife design-wise - #1. no jimping on the flipper tab and with wet or oily, sweaty fingers your fingers do slip off it, the flipper tab needs some jimping to better grab the finger! #2. The jimping on the back of the knife - spine of the knife is too aggressive and had very sharp corners. If I need to press on it with my thumb it results in slight discomfort and pain and jimping marking on my thumb finger. Some more machining + sand paper of the jimping's sharp edges would have been very welcome on this knife. Overall 9.5 out of 10 -> Superb knife, extremely well built.
This is truly 99% perfect knife.
Just got one on secondary market. I'm a bit disappointed because it's too big and I will never carry it, but it is so damn nice.

I believe the mark on the frame that you mention at 9:51 is from the blade stop/thumb stud coming in contact with the handle when the blade is closed. I have the same mark in the same place on my knife.
Shelby’s Lol Toys regarding the marking. Was that intentional? Knife of this caliber I wouldn’t expect that.
Great review Jim. Have you had any experience with the new CKF T14 folder at all? Big support from Australia.
I know this is a late response, but the t14, is a big knife, but it's a great knife. I love it myself. Its my largest folder, and I don't normally want or like such a large knife. But the ckft14 is one of mine favorites. Its smooth, with great weight for its size, some of the best action, and I love the blade shape. For me the knife looks good and is very useful for many applications. Great cutter, and not to thick behind the edge.
Is it smoother than a rockstead I bought one after watching your reviews lol and then it slipped and fell outta my pocket at work at some how ended up taking the tip of the bevel off and I haven’t contacted warranty yet cuz ima afraid there gonna say I’m beat
