  • My longtime hero Hansheinz Schneeberger passed away in the fall of 2019. Just a few months before that, at 92 years old, Hansheinz shared with me why he still practiced every day and what he wanted to achieve through this never-ending quest.
This is the first gem of many that I recorded. Hansheinz Schneeberger was an incredible force of nature, a deep soul and a passionate man. I was lucky enough to meet regularly with him since I was 16. We worked on many violin pieces and even gave concerts together. I miss him dearly and I am happy that Swiss photographer (and amateur violinist) Christian Meuwly and I recorded this interview.
Hansheinz, whose mother tongue is German, graciously spoke to me in my native French. I have subtitled the interview in English.
