    You will definitely be able to find a replacement rubber wheel for the cam device online.
    It looks like this machine is able to use double needles (not a twin, two single needles)! In the '50s this was a huge deal as there were no twin needles yet. If I recall correctly (it will say in the manual) the needles are in line, so that it makes one line of stitching. Most other brands that are able to have double needles make two lines of stitching. I suspect that the Necchi setup came from industry as the single stitch line with double needles is incredibly strong and locking.
    Necchis of this era are amazingly well built (all metal with no plastic gears) and have very tight tolerances, so oiling is even more important. This machine is one of the best sewing machines ever made and should last for many generations.
    Thank you for sharing this beauty. 👍

      Could this machine handle v69 thread

    • @ivancho5854
      @ivancho5854 Месяц назад +1

      @@redwood1957 Hi. I think that the weight of the thread is less important than the thickness of the material. I wasn't familiar with v69 so I looked it up and this looks like it is for sail, canvas or tent. If so I don't think that the machine would survive for very long - it is not designed for those applications at all, it is a domestic machine. If you're sewing jeans it may be ok, but be careful and go slow at the seams. These are very old machines now.
      Best of luck. 👍

    Absolutely an amazing machine, a came across a (Japanese clone Universal) with almost identical feachers and I have never before ran a machine as smooth as this Nacchi (clone). The color on your is stunning! I have never heard of the Nacchi company before and I'm becoming more and more influence on these wonderful machines; super quiet, smooth, and strong.
    Thanks... highly enjoy your presentation.

    Hey! I don’t know if you’d want to help me, but I have necchi that looks pretty similar to this. However, it doesn’t have the zigzag feature. Anyway I have no idea how to turn it on. Would you know where the switch would be? I could send a picture if you’d be willing to help. I’d really appreciate it.

      Hey there! I own the machine, but I don't currently have it. Bronwen, who is the real expert, may be willing to help you if you've not figured it out yet. Have you? Thanks!

    You said you just tie the thread together after doing the bobbin and just pull the thread through instead of retreading. NO you don’t want to ever pull that knot through your machine if that knott breaks inside the machine while you’re pulling it through you’ve got trouble. How long does it take to rethread ? See how long it takes you to get that knott out of the inside of your machine. Giving new sewers bad advice
