Quick tip, learn to identify the different ship types without the scanner, it's only slightly quicker, but when you're at it for hours it makes a difference (and scan if you're not sure or think it's an exotic)
It doesn't matter where you are ive found them and my girl has to in the outlaw stations thats actually the spot I've found the most doing this reload method
My second crashed ship I ever found in the game was an S class exotic, I loved that thing and used it up until I could scrape together parts and nanites to make an S class fighter. Really solid all around ships!
My favourite thing for making money is sentinel ships, here’s how I do it. You can 1. fight waves upon waves of sentinel ships in dogfights which is rather counter productive but is a good way to collect loot. They drop the AI Ship memory which shows you the location of a crashed sentinel ship and you can go through the process of taming it. 2. Go to a dissonance planet and hunt down dissonance resonators, they are rather tall and show up on the scanner module. They don’t always drop a echo locator which is fine. Once you get one use it and fly to the location it’s at. When you’re there you have to do a puzzle which gets you a free multi tool but it also has the option to scan for dissonance spikes (crashed sentinel ships) you still have to do the taming process but the positive of the echo locator. You can constantly go back to it to keep scanning. Then you just take the ship to a space station if you don’t want it and sell it.
Thank you for the perfect and easy explanation! It took me five minutes to get my first exotic s class ship. A squid ship in yellow. I'm so happy now thank you again for the video! Cheers mate..
Ive never seen an exotic ship before, wanted to finally have one so started watching this video, im playing at the same time and 2 minutes in an exotic ship just flew into the space station i am stood it 😂, 23 mil snapped that baby up
Very rare ships so it makes sense only exotic I’ve ever found legit was v wing and that because a friend showed me a system they found so kind of legit
I'm new to exotic hunting and was searching methods for what other people do, and a couple of points I'd like to add. First, I believe it doesn't actually matter what economy level a system is at, this method should still work even in a 1 star economy, since exotics are just a flat 1-2% spawn rate, they don't actually rely on the S class spawn rate. Second, there is a reason for landing on the ground instead of on a platform, as your ship does take up space, and it is possible for an exotic to spawn, but then be unable to land if all 6 other spots are taken. This probably doesn't matter for this method though, but it is worth noting.
7 years. 2 months ship hunting, I have hundreds of verified ship finds, I'm well known on all social platforms with a massive karma rating on reddit. I'm the largest ship hunting youtube channel and your telling me I'm hunting exotics wrong! What's your background and how long have you been doing it? Beat 10k hours lol.

Anyone here do this on ps5? Just spent hours trying the frieghter battle method until finding out it doesn't work on ps5 and would love to save myself the time if possible. Already tried this for about an hour on 3 separate "opulent" systems and nothing
Is it better to use a 3 tier wealthy system rather than a Pirate controlled system? I see many guides that say 3 tier is the best but in the wiki there seems to be a higher S class spawn rate in Pirate systems. I'm wondering why no one suggests using Pirate Trading Posts. Do Exotics not spawn there?
The reason people don't suggest pirate systems is because ships that spawn in a pirate system have a stat reduction compared to if they spawned in any other system. If you're only after a ship it really doesn't matter, but that's why it's not suggested. Pirate systems are actually better for hunting for solar ships.
Thanks that worked for me, just a little patience required. I'm 500 hour in and had never seen an exotic or even an S Class spawn naturally. Plenty of A Class so I just upgrade them. After that amount of time money and Nanites are no problem.
If you’re still struggling, use an echo locator and just keep returning to the spot to keep scanning for the dissonance spike, found 7 S class sentinel interceptors that way.
No you are right. Tested that recently. Even after three weeks, when I returned after buying it the first time, the same ship showed up again, with the same pilot.
Gna have to just wait XD. Yiu can search online for some teleport glyphs so you can go to the space station and wait there. It's how I got my first exotic
@@coreyreedhill since my comment i’ve found 2 squids, and 3 other exotics. my new problem in this game is trying to build large garage doors and powering them
Most exotic ships spawn faster in 3 star/tier systems. This is a basic trade outpost tutorial.
Are there systems that have more then three stars/tiers?

I've gone ship hunting before but this was actually quite useful, before I would just stand around at a trade post until an exotic landed

Exotics are my favourite, they have the largest stat boosts across the board, they're pretty much a jack of all trades.

Already picked up two now! Thanks!
Not 5 minutes and I got a exotic and a couple solar sails for parts salvage on top. Better way to get one than sitting in a station
S class is actually most common in pirate systems, but I don’t know about exotics specifically.

Can i found different Exotic in the same Outpost ?
Thx for vidéo, already found 2 with the same skin ! :)
I believe it is one exotic per system so if they do repeat (not sure if they can or not) , it will probably be the same. I could be wrong tho...
