I never thought about doing this at our local parks until coming across this video. It would be much easier taking the grill grates with me instead of taking the whole grill I have here at home. Yesss

Another thing you can do is to wrap the park grill with aluminum foil. That way you have a more sterile surface and clean up is practically a breeze. The only downside is that you won't get that smoky flavor, but you can try poking holes in the foil and see if that works.

Um do people not realize that charcoal fires get up in the 500+ degree range? As hot as that grill will get, whatever was on there is killed and burned off prior to putting food on there...

Yes my dad would always tell us "fire kills everything" lol, my dad loves grilling at the park on these park grilling pits, he was even able to get his hands on one from a city auction, i think he paid like 20 bucks for it, he welded it on a truck tire rim so it stand on its own, i was 9 at the time and till this day he still has it and we still use it
