I love how this video about 30 minute missions is slowly getting all over the place, kinda like how my 30MM collection does when I tinker with them, slowly getting all over the place. Fits the theme.
That's what's been happening to me as well. I've gotten to the point where I've begun buying a lot of HG Build Fighters/Divers upgrade weapons and backpacks and tossing them on 30MM EXAMACS mecha instead of my Gundams. I even got an aquatic Portanova set for the sole purpose of cannibalizing its accessories for use with other machines.
The sad thing is “if it gets famous it gets expensive”
I quite literally have made a semi reasonable military with the amount I have, even have a separate shelf for what I can only differentiate them as marines, air force, military, and navy. If I get into painting then will probably do it for all of their kits and maybe buy some duplicate parts for armor camo variations, so in short I am very broke rn
@@omegasupreme7479 Not reeeeeeally. Mecha model kits stay in circulation for AGES. A huge chunk of Gunpla kits (Specially HGUC) are from DECADES ago.
I love it I got a senior type spinatio and the weapon pack and the amount of things I've managed to kit bash from those 2 alone is mind boggling. I'm hooked it's my first step into plamo waiting on 4 kits coming 😂 and an EG gundam.
back in the old days people used to make their own Transformers OC out of Lego Bionicle parts, I guess 30 Minutes Missions now took over that market, lol.

Not gonna lie this is pretty dope. Usually when making something modular you sacrifice aesthetics, but with these 30MM models they've really nailed it.
the 30m+ segment of this slowly starts to have a armored core vibe and now i want to buy EVERYTHING and just lego my way to an armored core, ty this beautiful introduction lol
The ninja feet attachments are based on an old piece of equipment called Mizu Gumo and they were like floaties for feet. It allowed ninjas to cross water and I believe were the progenitor of the myth that ninjas could run on water. Mythbusters tried them years ago but I believe they made them out of wood so they didn't work, traditional ones were made out of inflated animal skins so they were light and acted like little floats.

There is a kit that acts as a mech armor for the 30MM kits. It is twice the height of the Alto, and has a seat for the Alto that puts it in front of the chest. It's kinda hunched over and has a tail along with longer arms. It's called Provedel (type-rex 01)
personally, i would have attached the wings to the shoulders. they still can end up behind the mecha in suit mode, and don't impede articulation as much since they move with the shoulderpad.
as for the shoes, supposedly ninja would use wooden versions to walk on water(don't quote me on that, i just remember seeing some images somewhere) using the increased surface area and the fact that wood floats. i would think a human ninja would need to be practically naked and unarmed for this to work so i can't see how a giant metal robot could use these, but whatever

The mecha head on the dog body is the most cursed gunpla thing I've ever seen. I love it.
I'm waiting for the day that Bandai releases bulk boxes of different 30 Minute Missions parts and accessories for people to really get creative. I want my damn Gunpla legos
30MM kit reviews/customizations always make me eager to see more releases in the line, seriously can't wait for the Revernova and the Gardonova to come out.
30MM really enable the whole new level of kit-bashing. can't wait to see what's other creative builders makes out of it.
I feel that you can buy both, buy some weapons and the wings, then combine the 2 sets into one OMEGA Esposito Kit.
The only problem is the plane and the alto flight mode are quite hard to find

24:00 I'm guessing that it's some kind of floatsam whereas a ninja can supposedly use as a travel option across watery surface. Kinds of remember seeing something akin to this in some old 80's or 90's ninja anime.
I've seen them in a few of Gaijin Goomba's ninja videos-they're sort of water walking shoes one could use like snowshoes, but on water. It's a matter of speed and balance to be able to do so.
I heard they were used to walk in swamps.
Thanks for having such awesome videos on 30MM I build Gunpla and my friends got me option armor for the portnova as a random stocking stuffer. I love these you put it perfectly they are gundam Legos. I never want to kit bash my normal gunplas but can't wait to get my portnova and dog mech lol!
yep I'm feeling this 30mm transformable kits are the spirit successors of Age-2 especially with that chest as the core of the transformation

Have been thinking about getting into this line for a while. Prices are reasonable, and for an old kitbasher like me, the idea of a line that will allow me to tinker with custom builds without actually destroying parts is generally a dream. Pair that potential with the relatively blank-slate basic colors of the 30MM models as-sold, which is super tempting for a painting nerd like myself, and it's a winning formula. Thanks for making such a thorough, and fun exploration of what makes this line interesting. Just ordered my first bot, and a cool booster backpack accessory kit.
I have a similar love of Kotobukiya's Hexa Gear line . . . but sometimes you just want something more toy-like and toony.

The Espossito Alpha and Beta is absolutely similar to the Gundam AGE-2's Normal and Double Bullet forms. AND I LOVE IT!

Since i'm more accustomed to full-transforming kits like the HG00 Enact, Flag, & Brave, and HGAGE Clanche, these are right up my alley over the partsformers like HGUC Zeta/Delta kits and it's relatives.
I actually thought they are on purpose designed to combine them somehow :D

yep. that's the intended purpose. it says so in the packaging and instructions to be creative and combine all sorts of stuff, including non-30mm stuff from other 1/144 bandai models

Of all the battlogue recolors the astray deserves a very short review considering they updated the articulation in the shoulders changing it from peg to ball joint while keeping the articulation in the chest itself
The gouf has a few extra parts for the waist to allow normal backpacks while keeping the power cables
The other two seem to have simply backpack adapters

I've seen one of the campaign winners that were featured before on the 30 Mins Missions site and it's a tyrannosaurus made from various parts. There was another one made to look like a pair of camels.

You can actually build a pair of fully functional arms, albeit without the hands, from the joint parts from the options set! You can then use the hands from the backpack kits, the claws from the claw and rifle set or just the weapons from the weapons sets! Voila, a fully built Examac from spare parts and upgrade kits!
now im curious about what a perfect grade style kit would look like.

How do you pop pieces off so easy? Mine get stuck sometimes, yet some are so loose they keep falling off. Do all the Alto armor kits fit on it, including face plate ? I can’t find the custom armor sets for this one.thx.

I actually have the Beta version of this 30 MM mecha. It was VERY rickity...even considered too clutterly and fragile. Also, I did not like the legs that much. I eventually bought an extra Alto White and the Flight Expansion pack to create a unique Alto Flight Hybrid. No transformation though. And that's fine with me. A question: how exactly do you make a 4 legs torso type? I've seen it done with the Portonova Space type, can this be done with the Alto/Esoquito?

I got the beta and the jet but ive had problems with the pegs of the jet being very Lose on the Beta. The back peg holes are pretty much unuseable.
