Firemaple blitzing RUclips with this pot. I have one, it’s good apart from the tight lid syndrome. Works very well with a SOTO Windmaster fitted with a triflex pot holder.
Cheers alan. I couldn't get any other gas at the time. Seems hard to find others. I normally get cheap stuff from the range but they've stopped selling it for some reason 🙄😂
Cheers buddy. In what way, with a titanium pot for example? I don't have the pocket rocket to pit it against but if you check this video and go to about 8:20 he does compare the soto windmaster ruclips.net/video/gY5AnfF2PDI/видео.htmlsi=8a7LBs1NSjHBtxaI
With my A Level physics head on, perhaps it is the plastic lid expanding into the pot which is causing the tight fit rather than the pot contracting? However, the physics exam was 35 years ago and I only got a grade E! There are a lot of great alternatives to Jetboil stoves out there for a fraction of the price. I picked up the OEX Heiro a few months ago for forty quid and I really can't see what a Jetboil does better, but I've never used one so pehaps it massages my aching feet whilst boiling water for my cuppa!
🤣 yeah didn't think about the plastic expanding. You may be right, school wasn't my thing in general let alone physics. And if I remember rightly the Jetboil gives you a full shiatsu massage after each hike. 👍 worth the extra I'd say.
Excellent! So now i have to buy yet another pot to see if it will fit together with my optimus crux burner :), the best is that the pack will be a little bit lighter. Thanks for a great review
I have a fire maple x3 with the stove "integrated". It's perfect for booking water. It's light enough, boils extremely fast and very efficiently (if you put the flame to medium-low).
Also, the plastic does the same. Making the lid stick on, this is a safety feature. May not have been intended, but it does make pouring boiling water on one's self more difficult.
Firemaple are making great value H/Ex pots and cook systems more generally. Anodised aluminium is not to be underestimated, I find mine far superior to titanium pots for heat conduction/dissipation. Good quality gear at an affordable price - what’s not to like? 👍🏻🏴🥃
@coachhannah2403 in all honesty their gear is as good if not better than the more we'll known brands. They also think outside the box like this pot. Simple change that makes a massive difference. I have a lot of their gear and only one piece I felt was below par.
@@NoviceWildCamper - Yeah, but all of a sudden comes all these product videos (not just yours)... I like watching gear videos, even though I bought most of the stuff I'll need for the rest of my life (spending a bunch of the money I saved over my first 40 years when I pinched pennies). It's a great pot. It fits well on my Jetboil MightyMo. Now my go to cooking setup.
Perfect stove for it 👌👍
Thanks a lot man!! I needed to confirm compatibility, I will place my order i AliExpress now 😂
Thanks. Not using my link? Must be cheaper with my discount?
Thats incredible. I tested the polaris tonight in wind with a titanium pot. 3.40 it took!
It's a decent stove for sure 👌

Yeah I've seen that used. Decent set up though 👍
Hiya mate, another great review. Looks like a belter of a set up, Gez tore me a new one for using jetboil gas 🤷♂️😂😂

Awesome review! 😀
It would be nice to see a review for the stove itself, see how it compares to a msr pocket rocket deluxe or soto windmaster!

🤣 cheers buddy, and sorry for making you buy another pot 😂

Yeah that's a decent set up too. I just love the lightness and simplicity of this one.
Metal does expand when heated. It expands in 3 dimensions. Therefore, the inside diameter becomes smaller while the outside diameter becomes larger.
Also, the plastic does the same. Making the lid stick on, this is a safety feature. May not have been intended, but it does make pouring boiling water on one's self more difficult.
Don't think of it that way 👍
Getting it.. I have the Polaris
It's an awesome pot. Use the link and get that discount 👌🤣
Nice Pot, indeed. I have to admit, i have 4 stoves from FireMaple. Not that i needed all😆, just couldn't resist 🤫
They are good though 😂
Good review mate. Just need to build an extension on my garage so I can fit another stove in😅
🤣 I know the feeling
Doesn't look like the low price was an issue - Wearing Fjallraven kit- 🤣
What's that got to do with a cook set?
Yeah yeah yeah I'll find him dandy. BUT IT'S STILL NOT WHAT I WANT.
I want only the bottom so I can attach it to a pot of My choice.
Why
😮
Great stove clever design all you need for a fast boil
Exactly. Nothing to melt at the bottom either 🤣
And available in the uk from #outdoorgearessentials 🤙
Does your code work for shipping to the USA 🇺🇸?
Should work shopped to anywhere. Try it and you'll see before you have to pay. 👍
I swear by firemaple gear for cooking. It honestly is the best budget cooker I’ve ever used
It is some decent gear 👍
Looks a good system not that im in the market as im happy with mine as it is but a good option
I loved my set up the first time round but the stove was a pain to fit in and being 1l was overkill so this is perfect 👌

They do make some real decent gear and I agree on the ally vs titanium. 👍
Boy!
Firemaple people are pushing their product HARD!

@coachhannah2403 yeah I've made a few bits myself or modded other gear. You should check out my table in my videos 👍
