PXI is a different extention (stands for PCI eXtentions for Instrumentation) that is designed for instrumentation. You made a big mistake in the introduction. PCIe stands for Peripheral Component Interconnect Express. It is NOT "Internet Connect"! The Internet has nothing to do with it!

should be fine. PCIE is backwards compatible. The v2 card will just limit the speed to v2 speeds.
