Kate, I've said this before but you've been my favorite booktube find in this new year. I absolutely appreciate all of your thoughts on books. I'm going through your back catalog of videos and am having so much fun. As a matter of fact, you've inspired me to read Middlemarch and I'm just beginning Book 3 now. Do I love it? No, but it's growing on me. I also bought Cranford recently and must read more Gaskell. I can't even tell you how many middle grade books you've inspired me to buy. Also as someone who felt crappy 99% of the time for many years, I feel you. I am so glad that this month is bringing you some happiness because you certainly deserve it! ❤️
Yay! So fun that you enjoyed Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus. I completely agree with you that Aven and her parents make the book. Definitely. It's interesting because I felt the same way about Aven's friends during my first read, but now that I've read it three times with books clubs I've really grown to love Connor. Not sure why - perhaps his disability is presented in an even more jarring way than Aven's? I love that he and his mom understand each other more by the end of the book. Anyways, so glad you liked it. And just want to say that YOUR recommendations are what I trust! You've led me into one wonderful book after another. I already have Bea and the New Deal Horse on hold with my library. I bet it will make a wonderful addition to my future book clubs. :) Thank you so much!! And yes, I love EB White so very much also.
Such great recommendations! I have never heard of Professor Petit, and the cover is delightful. I will have to pick that one up. I also need to try Septimus Heap. That series keeps popping up on my radar.
I read Stuart Little to my boys when they were younger. They loved it, but the ending was hard for them. They were in tears because the ending didn’t give them the resolution they needed! 😂 poor kids. I was kinda annoyed by it too. But over all it was a great read.
My first book this month was recommended by you: The Door in the Wall. So lovely.
I'm so thrilled that your March is off to such a great start!!

Sooo many good sounding reads, Kate!
Thank you Kate loved this ❤
Wow, I really do need to get to Septimus Heap!!
There was a boat called The Caribou sunk by the Nazis near Newfoundland, too.
