Fix Why Your Shots Missed - Tick & Subtick Input Lag Desync Hitreg CS2 VALORANT RUST

- CS2 is as bad as Valorant now. Here's how you can Desync, Hitreg, and Input Lag fix that in about 10 minutes + 10 minute demonstration. In my last few months of research I have been able to find a 'goldilocks' zone of settings that encapsulates perfect hit registration and removes most desync. No more do you need to tweak the AMD and NVIDIA control panel to eek out the tiniest bit of extra inpout latency reduction.
It's as simple as setting the MSI modes to all MSI (specifics in the video), defaulting the NVIDIA and AMD control panels (because they code games around the defaults now for some stupid reason), and finally setting the perfect ram timings starting from 2133Mhz onwards.
This is the fastest way to ensure that your PC has an open path to global elite, or whatever the wierd ranking system in CS2 is called these days, and likewise in Valorant to high ranks.
Enable NVIDIA fast sync or otherwise with AMD's motion reduced resolution. You no longer need to cap the FPS.
It's recommended to go NVIDIA and AMD's VCACHE due to the better hitreg on the NVIDIA Fast sync mode, AMD's larger cache size for driver input and output spamming. Intel and AMD cards will not have Fast sync mode that NVIDIA does.
Pro Tips:
- Please ensure you search a tutorial on how to overclock ram, and check out how it's done at Actually Hardcore Overclocking.
- Get RGB hardware if you haven't already bought your PC. Populate the RGB headers on your motherboard for smoother and quicker aim.
- You can buy 1$ little aliexpress USB lights to fix USB 2 interference.
- You can plug a high powered desk lamp into the mains if you don't have a ground cable to help clean the signal. The only good solution to getting that fixed is to call an electrician. Ungrounded PC's will have issues like floating hitreg. I don't know how this is the case. Apartment grounding is terrible -- and yet the more grounded your PC is, the better the hitreg is. (I have tested this with a ground blocking IEC plug -- it makes hitreg far worse.)

Remember, Responsiveness is not always == to good hitreg and no desync.
Switching to your pistol is always faster than reloading, Fast Sync on and Threaded optimisation off (or on for 4+ cores) for even better hitreg. You no longer need to limit your FPS anymore.
Spam reseat your Intel CPU 100x with the lever from the horizon to about 45 degrees if you have unexplained creeping lag.
For AMD just reseat the lever around 4-5 times.
That's corrosion or dust in the pins causing capacitance or error correction.
Other fixes include LOWERING the CPU INPUT/AUX to 1.5-1.7v {THIS IS NOT YOUR CORE VOLTAGE} for use with linebased or MSI mode undefined
For Hynix CJR and DJR ram only, you can set the ram to 1.42v for optimal hitreg and input lag.
For unshielded mouse and keyboard and audio cables, wrap them in aluminium foil and then run PE cable coil wrap around it.

You've changed my life. I was attempting to find a solution for the input lag issue that was causing my sensitivity to become much slower, my mouse to feel sluggish, and my bullets to feel like they were made of plastic.
I followed FR33THY's instructions to reinstall Windows, made these changes, and switched to balanced power mode.

@@Omar-hv9pb The game is smooth and the mouse does not feel sluggish or drunked but I still have some issues with the responsiveness of the game, the shots feel slightly delayed but it's still a 10 times better than what I faced earlier.

After trying thousands of solutions, I realized that the real problem is that your internet service is not communicating well with the riot servers. I have 4 symmetrical pings of 1gb and I do an internet tracert with the riot servers and it happens that of the 30 routes I only get 8 and the rest only asterisks and this means that the package did not arrive within what was expected and what happens is that on their same page they explain that when they do not detect a package or it does not arrive on time, they predict the movement so that you do not teleport around the site, that is why sometimes you cannot control the recoil or you die as soon as you appear, which means that the good people in this game are only those who have good communication with the valorant servers or maybe something associated with your router I say this because I switched to csgo2 a game that I never played and everything was too consistent, the bullets entered and the advantage of peeking was null. In short, if you trace your region and it gives you too many asterisks, you'd better stop playing Valorant or find a solution
What programs did you use to figure this out, how did you find out the required ip of the Valorant server if they use cdn
It’s something with network cus free play in rocket league is massively different than in matches with cat cable
i believe this is because riot stopped letting u do icmp ping as a catchall against ddos. i have the same issue. let me know if you found a solution to get better routing
Might look ridiculous, but setting my DDR3 from 1600 to 1333 did the magic on input lag and desync
I realized years ago that when you have windows os but not activated after sometime windows will pop a message in low right corner that you need to activate windows and mouse will start to lag so damn serious,it will cause weird movement and input lag,and that message after first time poping out it will come back even faster and faster every second time and the only thing that will fix it is to restart computer.

You still are getting Ferrari peaked and killed in unfair reaction times. This desync/floaty mouse problem is absurd, the most mysterious problem ever. Why do magnets and settings changes have such profound but temporary effects. Also jiggling the power cables also temporarily helps. Maybe it’s magnetic fields affecting the wires? It’s driving me insane.

Hey Winkli, I remembered from your initial Valorant desync fix video you mentioned how the Unreal Engine has trouble with internal framecaps and how it would lead to desyncing issues and such. After recalling this I began to think about how the nvidia reflex system is built as a dynamic framecap to keep gpu usage below the 100% threshhold, and wondered if this setting might be having some influence on the game syncing correctly, I've been dealing with this issue in a ton of games essentially since the official rollout of reflex if my memory serves me correctly.
So after setting the reflex off I notice my bullets seem to actually register and I get much less problems with ghost bullets and disappearing sprays. The problem obviously being that I do incur much more mouse input lag. But after setting the low latency setting to On and power management to max performance in the NVCP I feel as if I get 95% of the benefits of input lag reduction with the increased registration.
Was hoping to see if you could test this simple fix on a untweaked machine and see if you got similar results. It doesn't seem to remove the ferrari peek issues and insane peekers advantage in the game but at least I'm not shooting nerf darts anymore!
To remove the peeker's advantage you need to tune memory timings to 15-20-20-30 for intel or 15-19-19-39 for AMD/Intel if you use DDR4. Use 2T/2N command rate. 1T doesn't work well for hitreg consistency.
Fast sync still does wonders, and you no longer need a frame cap for it to work!
hello could you recommend a good gaming laptop ram with good default jedac timings. unfortunately us laptop users cant set custom timings or even xmp sometimes. thank you for your research you are a big help. specifically i am looking for ddr4 sodimm
usually what happens to me is hitreg gradually becomes worse as the game goes on. in game reflex off seems to give me more stable hitreg.

Aorus motherboard has a bios feature that handles high bandwidth memory + low latency timing preset in BIOS that seems to fix that problem permanently

Nope, you have underlying factors that are usually 4G/5G towers in your zone, and not having shielded USB cables for your mouse and keyboard. Wrap those in tin foil and PE cable wrap, insane improvements
when does people finally realize that hitreg is something that you can't adjust on your side since this is network based and this is also controled by your ISP. There is no way for you, to improve hitreg.

@@Kappakaano keep them checked, put the PCIE/PCI roots and bridges to Undefined Linebased, all the rest to MSI and put the GPU to Undefined with the GPU sound to low, and onboard sound (not next to the GPU) to high, USB to High, ethernet usually high or undefined, Wifi usually High/Normal/Undefined.

I think that some LEDs help by converting some bad electricity/EMI to light/heat. So, can u recommend some RGB LEDs, that are best in your opinion?
USB lights and 12v and 5v LED strips and fans work best. Literally any brand off aliexpress works so long as they don't blow up.

@@juanmelendez3639 how stable? I bought a Samsung B Die Kit and thought it was stable at 3800mts 15-15-15-35 , after running TM5 extreme1 profile it wasn't stable, I tuned it down to 3600mts 14-14-14-28 and it's TM5 stable.

$1 lights clean up line interference, it just works, not 100% sure why.
You can use those timings just with reduced speeds, say, 3000MHz or less.
Audio drivers usually on low except for the one next to Nvidia RTX/GTX, set the GPU to Undefined and that audio dev to Normal

@@pxrruim6915 freesync is bad don't use. Fast sync ties up your inputs to the frames being displayed, and makes hitreg work properly most times.

Hey I know you said ferrite cores are bad but what if I were to put them on devices like my fridge and things like that, I heard some other devices can cause that. In my house my wiring upstairs where my setup is, is a lot newer than downstairs so I don’t know if that affects it. Thanks and merry Christmas 🎄
You can try it, but it needs to be heavily tuned. It could be that 5G actually amplifies through most of the smaller chokes.
My chokes worked up to a certain point last year or two and they just disconnect my USBs if I use them now, or make the input lag universally worse.

Reflex is good if you computer can take it. If it gets wonky turn it off completely.

Whatever was marked on the ram is best. Usually 1.2-1.3V. Start from low, work your way up.

You can try setting fast sync on without FPS caps. Then set the GPU to Normal Prio and NIC to High or Normal.
Make sure all devices are running MSI mode.

When i disable/uninstall PSP in the device manager it returns on startup. I found a "PSP RMPC Switch" option in my bios but there isnt realy any documentation about what it does. I am on a Gigabyte b650m. Any thoughts?
You can try set the prio to low or high but since it's a B650M.

Could be static charge buildup of some kind. Usually an issue with memory setting or contact pins are corroded.

Usually Asrock MSI and Gigabyte with a ton of LED's near the DRAM area.
TBH it's best with 9th gen CPU's and below for lowest input lag. Or Ryzen X3d series.
Hey brah, this exact issue is what ive been battling for the past two or three years and youve described it to the T. I have a horrible hitreg/input lag/ desync issue and it is most prominent in valorant where even ms make a difference. In the beginning I believed it was my PC that was the problem, that I had built it wrong, and it turns out I did poorly seat the mobo atx cable, anx the pcie cable was not fully seated either, and fixing this drastically increased fps, decreased inpit lag to playable levels, and improved the desync vastly. Still, there were noticeable issues and ive reseated my components many times making sure theres no fault on my part to no avail. Out of desperation, I purchased a whole new PC, upgraded all my parts, and lo and behold the exact same issues are present despite this being a whole new build with new and different parts. I spent around 2400 USD on it and the issues are still there. So i thought, if its not my PC, not software issues since ive formatted my PC and tweaked settings, its not internet nor electricity (ive tested these thoroughly). Im basically completely out of ideas. Your video seems to touch on the subject but i dont know if it will actually fully address the issues ive been having

A few people have suggested that there could be a grounding issue leading to emi problems. I havent investigated this yet, but im planning on bringing an electrician to test my ground to see whats up

I have a Corsair Vengeance RGB 3200mhz Ram, with XMP it runs at 18-22-22-42 tRc 84 tRFC 630 CR 1t. I run some memtest and ts perfecty stable but what config do you say it suits better for my RAM to improve hitreg and have more consistency?. I think this is a A-Die Ram and is not good to OC.

15-19-19-39 can work well. But it needs to work without memory errors. Reduce the speed to 3000 if you can. The other best for intel laptops would be 15-20-20-30

@@compuguy123 hey just to update you, I fixed my problems, my pc blew up a while ago so I had to replace the psu to a good one, it’s the Corsair rm750x and upgrading to that helped a lot. Sencondly my WiFi router was plugged into an extension lead so I plugged in directly into the wall and then that extension lead I upgraded to a better one that was high quality and all my problems went away. (EDIT): I had a about 5 other devices plugged into that extension lead so I think one of those device was causing my emi or the low quality extension lead was and it was going through my whole houses electric

The same as I recommend for AMD, which is usually 15-19-19-39 for 2133MHz and going up from there. Run HCI memtest to test for a few hours. Restart if the memory errors and set down the speed. Usually Hynix C die runs best hitreg at 1.42Volts.
AMD CPU's require sufficient core voltage for the cache but if you can get them running at whatever speed with an undervolt THAT DOESNT AFFECT HITREG, then you can use that. For a 3500X I used 1.225v for 3.9GHz for much better hitreg and aim. @@compuguy123 powerliner adapters have been causing me emi but my wiring in my house is new upstairs and is older downstairs which could be explain this problem for me specifically, after unplugging them my emi is fixed completely and my game is perfect. I hope I can be of help to someone else 😀

15 is better for some reason. Though it's not universally the end all. If the netcode is good on that timing feel free to use it instead.

@@compuguy123 maybe it has something to do with the frequency of the cpu stock speed of 3.8Ghz default the voltage goes higher to 1,4-1,5 max and if u watched the video CS:GO Lag casued by emi where he tried different voltages resulting in smoother gameplay its a half fix i have recently switched from amd 7 3800x which had stock speed 3,8 to amd ryzen 7 5700x with default stock speed of 3,4ghz and i could instantly feel the difference in mouse feel less floaty i only have it now for a week so i dont know in the long run but so far its a noticeable difference . also switched mobo from B450 MSI to B550 ASUS .
but upon installing a new cpu onto the system there was an intresting message :

i just pressed Y to erase any old data and since then i think it got better . mouse feels more responsive even on mousepads which had slight tracking problems.
hope this helps with more fixes like disabling anything xbox game related GPU scheduling and bios tweaks changing voltages and all of these things i feel like it could damage my old cpu thats why is the main reason i have decided for a swap .
also forgot to mention i have refund my old EVGA RTX 3060 for an MSI RTX 3060 it has better cooling and prob a placebo better quallity i cant confirm if it affects input lag or not
my main target issue would be the cpu/bios unlucky silicon lottery .
also constantly torturing your cpu with changing the power plans % or fast changing between them 100x a day is prob not healthy for the cpu also .
my best advice is to stay away from cpus with higher voltages / higher TDP or overall higher stock speed its useless just puts extra heat and unnecessary pressure for 10-15 extra fps for less stable cpu !

I have over 30 cases that is, every single build I have done with RGB in mind, made in order to run for competitive games.
I think timings might have fixed it - I have just dropped 49 kills in Premier and every1 reported me LOL. I removed XMP profile and manually set my memory to 3200 and changed timings as per video. The game feels a little choppy but damn your bullets register!
well update: today game feels just ash shit as it was before, I played for 2 hours like a god and that was it!

another update: I had in my setup rtx 3060 and yesterday i swapped it to rtx 4070 ti Super and the lag is completely gone, it is a whole new game now, mouse is so responsive i had to lower my sensitivity to whatever it was many years ago before the lag. Waiting a couple more days to test it but so far I played about 10 hours and it felt amazing, atl tabbing does not brake the input. Does it mean my 3060 was bad, i've been seeing posts on reddit about rtx introducing an input lag?

Try 5800x3D and a gigabyte itx X570 motherboard with LEDs near the memory side, and use the timings I got here. Asus B550M TUF also works well for it
You can also go Intel z690/z790 gigabyte with lots of LEDs on the ram area.
LEDs and good shielding helps remove interference that messes up hitreg and input lag.
When you connect the power for CPU pins, just put a single 4+4 connector, don't use 2. Likewise for the GPU if it's under 270W use a single daisy chain 6+2 connector. These prevent additional input lag interference carrying to the board.
