Everything from Arriving Somewhere on is a 10/10. I can't imagine thinking any song on this album was boring.

I think you guys would really enjoy the live video versions of PT songs from Tilburg and Chicago. They seem to take it to a higher level live, without deviating from the album originals. Good reaction.

Yeah, the live performance is definitely what it's ultimately all about to Tool and PT. Tool have no problem connecting masses of people at big festivals whereas PT seem to create an amazingly intimate atmosphere at smaller gigs, like that one at Tilburg

If you were to do one more album from them you'd enjoy In Absentia. Also highly recommend their song epics 'Russia on Ice', 'The Sky Moves Sideways Phase 1', or 'Buying New Soul'.
    Secondary recommend: Karnivool - Deadman
    Cheers! 🤘

Howdy from Texas y’all. On this same album is a song called Heart Attack in a Layby, a beautiful, haunting, sad song featuring vocals that are out of this world. Normally I would say listen to the Chicago concert version, but the album version on headphones is heavenly….

Heart Attack In a Layby is on In Absentia.

there are hidden lyrics in the song mellotron scratch in the second chorus because this song is a masterpiece:
Don't look at me with your mother's eyes or your killer smile
    Sing a lullaby

Initum, you might consider - keeping a connection with the PT theme - going through and reacting to Steven Wilson's third solo album The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories). The album has an interesting theme and has flawless, sublime contributions from guitar virtuouso Guthrie Govan, like on Drive Home, and drummer Marco Minnemann (one of the greats along with Danny Carey and Gavin Harrison) like on Luminol (watch him/them live in unison on the blu-ray/dvd version on RUclips).
Also, like many others urge, after, another album Steven Wilson produced, Opeth's all-time classic Blackwater Park for something much heavier..!
From the Wikipedia piece on the album:
"The Raven That Refused to Sing (And Other Stories) is the third solo album by British musician Steven Wilson, released by Kscope Music Records on 25 February 2013. Each track on the album is based on a story of the supernatural. Alan Parsons, who had previously been involved in the creation of Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon was responsible for engineering the album."

If you guys will decide to come back to PT I highly recommend to react to their last album The Incident. It is very underrated album that contains amazing songs. To me The Incident is a start of Steven Wilson's solo career that you can hear it in there: voice, musical elements, delivery, approach - everything speaks out of PT's last time together. It was released in 2009 and when I have heard it (I have seen them live with this album) I knew they gonna break up and I was right. It is very different concept album staying aside from his previous ones.

Hi, thank you for the comment. Since you're asking so nicely we may consider it as our extra reaction :)
Ps. I never heard of this band, is there anything specific I should expect? (She)

@@initum1599 its a metal band. Industrial metal to be specific. They sing a lot about being yourself and not letting the government control you. So the singer growls and sings. He was one of the first to do this back in the early 90s. I think u might enjoy it. They are heavier than tool so be prepared. Please do it. I love your channel. Ive been a subscriber for a long time. The songs arent too long. Do the one i said first Self Bias Resistor. Its an early track from them. Thank you.

I like that you spend so much time and thought on your reactions, but to be honest I think you focus too much on the lyrics. The lyrics are good, but first and foremost it's about the music, especially for Porcupine Tree, and even more so on a first listen where the lyrics can distract you from the music.
