    Really loving this series.
    Breeding for profit is 75% of my income. I definitely agree about using a tank for multi purpose breeding plus growing plants.
    Do you have monthly reptile shows/pet expos in your state? I have found alot of success there and no competition. I was surprised how much of that audience had aquariums.

      We have very frequent reptile expos but no fish expos. I'm hesitant on bringing fish and plants to a reptile expo because of exposure.

    I had an amusing conversation with the new girl at my local fish store. She was asking if i liked freshwater or saltwater. I told her i enjoyed freshwater and she asked if i like shrimp. I was like yes i do haha. She leads me over to the 3 shrimp tanks at the store and asks me to look in and see if there is anything that catches my eye. I hunkered over and looked in and said "i make some fine looking shrimp". About that time the assistant manager walked around the corner and was oh hey man how are you doing this week and the new girl looks at him like ohh... I told the assistant manager about how she's doing a good job trying to sell me shrimp i bred haha. Poor girl turned all sorts of red with embarrassment. He told her how i breed stupid amounts of shrimp and grow a ton of the plants for them

      Nothing wrong with that, people love buying culls as well in the event you want to trim back the colony.

    quick question!
    i have 3 pleco tanks with guppys and pleco will i be able to put Blue and red ones in there without issues?
    like you said tank diverse ;)

    • @homebredaquatics
      @homebredaquatics  7 месяцев назад

      That greatly depends on tank size, but it could work in a 40g just give the shrimp room to hide and multiply.

      @@homebredaquatics they are 60 liter tanks have 3 plecos and 3 guppys all 100% bloodlines for spawning only and when they put out babys they go in a diffrent tank

    • @homebredaquatics
      @homebredaquatics  7 месяцев назад

      @RoseAuto I'd probably keep it that way. I think the shrimlets wouldn't be predated on by the guppies. I run my systems with either guppies and plecos or plecos and shrimp.
