Amazing control of the situation and the horse.
Absolute professional.
These beautiful animals are standing still for hours ,that’s hard to do for us humans. Give these horses and their soldier a break … they do an amazing job
Excellent control and well done also to the people who immediately complied.
This is so weird.....
Poor horses
A horse is a horse, of course, of course…🎼
And no one can talk to a horse...
Some complaints Ming about the lives of these horses😂😂😂 these horses are more looked after than most of your kids 🤣🤣🤣
0:51 Roy Hodgson could see what was coming and left with the family.
exactly what I was thinking
So cool. He really kept it together. My gosh those animals are so powerful.
great job controlling the horse.
Always nice when people listen
It takes WAY too long for help to arrive for these guards❗️ Really inexcusable.
Controlled a horse and a crowd of people. Props brethren 💂♂️
And the public didn’t even need to be asked twice, that’s how it should be.
The horse looked very stumbley his legs weren’t in sync looks like he needs a rest.
And I got say that horse “reversing” looked both funny and impressive
The horse looked like that because he was nervous which is why the guard was patting the horse, guard knew it was coming before it happened because as a rider you are in sync with the horse and often know how the horse is feeling via its behaviour
This is absolutely terrifying as a rider btw
Man! Poor horse, are the 10 pounds of bits & spurs really necessary?
No way is that 10 pounds of bit!!! Also, the trooper was very kind when applying the spur. just putting some light pressure on the flank and not digging in. (no marks left). In an ideal situation you'd like to get away without spurs, but in a situation like this where you need to have clear communication to the horse (especially with a bunch of silly tourists standing around) spurs are mandatory.
Do you have any clue how much that animal weighs?
lol at thinking a horse even feels 10 pounds like we do. And nothing wrong with spurs either. If it’s in an experienced rider.
@@alaefarmestatesllc, I'll admit spurs can be useful for quick and concise communication with your horse. But you should be aware that horses have twice as many nerve endings per square cm then we do. So they're twice as sensitive to pain and physical pressure. It's important to bear that in mind when using spurs and bits.
.
Scaring a horse is not cool! Bet it’s that dude from the princess diaries with that toy snake ya know
Man and beast were very well trained and did well in this situation.
The animal got startled in a way not known from the video.
Horses are gentle and quiet animals, and they had their share of battles, bloodshed and shouts for hundreds of years.
They now just want to chill out a little near palaces. Tourists, respect those two units .
This isn't a tourist attraction. It's the Kings guard! Keep distance and show some damn respect!
Amazing how the guard controlled that horse. Nice job, Sir. Well done horsie ❤
Amazing horsemanship, one handed control
That poor horse 😢
Amazing horsemanship amazing horse. People forget they both are working hard
These horse guards should be done away with. It's hard on the horse to stand perfectly still for hours, and if they act out, they are a danger to the public. This poor horse needs a good 6 months at pasture.
I love the second time the horse whipped around like you didn’t hear me? lol
To get people to listen that quick is a skill…
the horse is fed up with standing in that dark corner, it would send a horse nuts😮
The horse knows! They don’t wanna stand in your shitty arch! 🎭
True. There is no benefit from the horses to stand in there. Just stick a guard in the arch, but stop using horses
The spurs, that’s how he regained control, through pain.
His marble just came loose for a few seconds. All is well now. 😅❤
All the comments talking about disrespect have a think of those poor horses forced to stand there all day every day, not much of a life now is it?
He knew his horse 🐴 ❤
What good is the "oh shit" button if it takes 2 minutes for someone to get out there?
That wasn't a spooked horse. That was a horse who was sick of standing around being gawked at. He was just being naughty. If he was spooked it wouldn't have been so calm
Agreed. The animal was tensing up before he started playing up. Probably had enough of the annoying tourists. With a real spook he/she would have charged, spun and maybe even reared.
A horse tired of standing? lol. U do know horses sleep standing right? And can stand in one spot for hours on end no problem. A horse doesn’t have to bolt or attack for it to be considered spooked.
He maintained excellent control and composure over the horse. Bravo
It's ridiculous that they make these horses stand so long on hard surfaces.
The horses wear shoes that are designed to give them protection from the concrete. Also they have shorter shifts changing every hour.
@@kcm4511come off it dude, none of this is in the horses’ best interest
You're right
@@bestbehaveAnimal Cruelty, let's be honest here... Outdated, cruel and should change.
OMG! 😆 are you serious?😂
Poor horse. The guard showed great control and discipline. Just shows how well trained they are.
The horse was spooked, not sure why, but the guard was trying to make sure the public was safe...
I think it was the elderly folks walking sticks early in the footage. Their movements were awkward and made the horse apprehensive.
i think it was the bike?, horses do seem to get freaked out on bikes
Very impressive. Good job with the warning. The horse needed the space.
It's about time we moved away from this ridiculous and pompous, cruel use of animals like this
Get an education, some of the best cared for horses in the world. They’re rotated regularly. Would you prefer them to be put down if they no longer serve a purpose?
@@jonathanbeattie3410 no, I'd prefer them not to be enslaved at all. It's not the 1600s any more
@@KaptainKastle enslaved? So you’d prefer them to be let loose and run free around the UK. You have no idea what you’re on about. Let me guess…. Vegan?
Great horsemanship 🇬🇧
He Is not spooked. He is suffering from anxiety because they have no other life than this. That's why he won't stay still
It’s not one horse that stands in that spot all day. They have shifts and horses are changed on the hour. They are taken care of like literal royalty and their lives are better than most horses. This is their job, they have hours worth of break time and live lovely lives, you only judge because this is the only part of their day that you see.
Except obviously when they're at the stables or exercise fields, or on their annual holiday at a 1600 acre farm
100% agreed
Facts, love, it's best to get them right before passing judgement.
Facts, love, it's best to get them right before you pass the wrong judgement.
Real title of this video: Kings Guard orders public to make space.
The horse should be in his natural habitat.
People have been riding horses for thousands of years. Don't try and rob people of that now. Humans and their horses have a great bond. That horse is a very disciplined working horse. It's probably treated better than your employer treats you, tbh. No offense to your boss
@MrJonathanainsworth
Go live in the forest like a hobbit go back to the Stone Age to your natural environment, Lead by example and show us how great it is
So should you! 😂😂😂
@@ryanm4013 I already am. Knobedd.
If all the horses were released into the wild they would die but also decemat the environment in the meantime, you absolute ridiculous twirp 😅 horses have been with humans for 1000s of years the bond is sealed get over it abd gave a day off dear
he handled the horse very fair, thank you sir for not abusing your horse❤
Came on here to find the "This is barbaric, it should be banned" comment 👇
It doesn't want to be in that smelly hole all day, what a sad life these horses lead when do they ever see green grass or gallop across sand at beach or swim in the sea, im glad im not a horse owned by the royals😂
It's in that "smelly hole" for an hour, then rotated out. You must have seen the videos of the changes. The soldier that came out on the sidewalk right at the end of this video was about to lead that change. Those horses are exercised and trained daily in Hyde Park, and get vacations away from the city just as humans do. There are very well kept horses. Nothing sad about them.
People forget they are living creatures they get frustrated, might get cramp or just need to move, they are animals end of the day prone to being unpredictable.
animals are not made to follow these tasks
Yes they are
@@LordHowardThey're certainly not. But they can be taught.
Imagine being one of the fastest and free roaming animals out there to only stand still for hours a day for the queen.... And yall hate zoos
