The Stirling Ridge Walk is my favourite short distance hike in Western Australia. I've been wanting to give it a run for a while now and had a chance recently on a super hot summer day. 🥵 The goal was sub 8 hours and it was a slog but we got there.

What a day... the temperature ended up reaching 35c on the ridge and in hindsight I didn't bring nearly enough water with me. The 5km walk back to the car after this video ended was brutal, definitely heavy heatstroke and luckily was able to stop in at a nearby service station for some water(I was dumb and didn't leave any water in my car). Stay safe out there people! Thanks for watching, ☺

Bro this is brutal and brilliant! You inspire so many to get out and LIVE. This is the route of happiness. Connecting with nature and pitting yourself against the elements. Happy to know you Cam. Great job again. Thrilling camera work and raw footage. Love it. See you soon bro 💯🙏🙌💯🙏🙌💯🙏🙌

Hi Cam, just a suggestion, you could do the Stirling Ridge Loop. Leave your car at the walkers registration station (Bluff Knoll Rd turn off). It's c13km east along teh fire break to the start of the Ridge Walk at Glenelg Farm and at the end another c8km from the Bluff knoll car park back to the walkers registration station. Makes the whole thing c42km. The current record, as far as I know, is 9:20, 20/11/04, temp high 20s. All peaks were summitted along the way. I reckon you're good to take 1;30 off that. Good luck!

When you get the chance you should do the Wilson’s prom telegraph saddle circuit in southern Victoria. It’s spectacular and another great single day challenge and would make for some great video. Highly recommend it.

Great video. How much water did you start with. Not judging just planning our own 10hr walk/run.

4 litres and a redbull. If I knew that it was going to get that hot I would of brought 6L. Forecast was 24 in Albany, ended up being 35 on the ridge.
