Recently I ordered my HDP .50. It came with a 7,5 Joules valve, the maximun power allowed in the EU, but I replaced it with an American 20 Joules valve. The 12 grams CO2 charge lasts ontly 8 shoots and it's freaking awesome.

I have a question I can't seem to find a video that addresses the answer to. Regarding the HDR 50/TR50 with full power valve upgrade and the usual things removed, i have the hpa setup much like this one you use for it. Also have the tuning barrel. When the valve on the tank is opened, it just degasses. On rare occasion, it would rapid fire half a co2 and de-gas the rest, but not often. the gas would be forced out about everywhere it seemed, but screws appear t9 be as tight as possible. Am wondering the cause and easiest fix. I was guessing either needs new o-ring, stronger spring in tuning run, or i need to put valve block back in, but didnt want to change it without advice first. Thanks!
Hi my friend. The HDR50 (at least mine) dont like to be used with an open valve. Even with 12 gram CO2 it usually just dump out all the air or CO2. I think the problem is a weak/soft valve spring. I have talked with others about it and they all seems to agree its because of a to soft valve spring. This can happend to all modells, not just the HDR50. If you dont have a new spring you can try and shim the stock spring. It might cure the problem 😃🤔
Since both the HDR 50 and HDR 68 can use 12 gram CO2 cartridges - which would indicate common parts and sizing at least for the cartridge chamber - I'm wondering if the restrictor plate that you get in the Powerkit for the HDR 50, that press fits in the top of the CO2 chamber, would also work in the HDR 68 - so you wouldn't need to cut up an empty CO2 cartridge?
Dont think it will fit. The restrictor plate for the HDR50 is 10,15mm if I remember right, and the one I cut from a CO2 is ca 11mm. Maybe if wrapped in teflone-tape🤔
Essentially, with HPA, you can get 30 Joules out of this beast out of the box (after removing the valve block), with a marker that costs around $120 USD. Good lord....
wish they would make one with single action as well, easier to be accurate to have both in one but would that make it more expensive to produce than these what's your opinion rune?
Thank you Gordon. I think the pepperballs will breake in the gun if you use the 16 joule version. Maybe the 7,5 joule will work best for that type of ammo 🤔
@runerebel8441 i discovered you only a few moments, and your videos are great. For the pepper balls, I see a video of a man who shoots with the hdx 68 in 40 joules and its work's. I never tested because pepper balls are not allowed in my country.
