    Recently I ordered my HDP .50. It came with a 7,5 Joules valve, the maximun power allowed in the EU, but I replaced it with an American 20 Joules valve. The 12 grams CO2 charge lasts ontly 8 shoots and it's freaking awesome.

    I have a question I can't seem to find a video that addresses the answer to. Regarding the HDR 50/TR50 with full power valve upgrade and the usual things removed, i have the hpa setup much like this one you use for it. Also have the tuning barrel. When the valve on the tank is opened, it just degasses. On rare occasion, it would rapid fire half a co2 and de-gas the rest, but not often. the gas would be forced out about everywhere it seemed, but screws appear t9 be as tight as possible. Am wondering the cause and easiest fix. I was guessing either needs new o-ring, stronger spring in tuning run, or i need to put valve block back in, but didnt want to change it without advice first. Thanks!

      Hi my friend. The HDR50 (at least mine) dont like to be used with an open valve. Even with 12 gram CO2 it usually just dump out all the air or CO2. I think the problem is a weak/soft valve spring. I have talked with others about it and they all seems to agree its because of a to soft valve spring. This can happend to all modells, not just the HDR50. If you dont have a new spring you can try and shim the stock spring. It might cure the problem 😃🤔

    Since both the HDR 50 and HDR 68 can use 12 gram CO2 cartridges - which would indicate common parts and sizing at least for the cartridge chamber - I'm wondering if the restrictor plate that you get in the Powerkit for the HDR 50, that press fits in the top of the CO2 chamber, would also work in the HDR 68 - so you wouldn't need to cut up an empty CO2 cartridge?

    • @runerebel8441
      @runerebel8441  2 года назад +1

      Dont think it will fit. The restrictor plate for the HDR50 is 10,15mm if I remember right, and the one I cut from a CO2 is ca 11mm. Maybe if wrapped in teflone-tape🤔

      Mange takk. Hyggelig at du like videoene mine. Av all de markørene jeg har så er nok HDR68 min favoritt. Den gir ca 30 joule på det meste med CO2 og tunge slugs. Om den vil stoppe en angriper er ikke lett å si. Hvis han er godt kledd med jakke og genser så spørs det om han vil gi seg. Men på sommeren når folk er lettkledde så vil det nok svi skikkelig. Tror han vil løpe vekk da. Ikke kjøp cal 43 pistolene for selvforsvar. De gir max 5 joule.. De er OK for å trene blinkskyting da presisjonen kan være god. Jeg har en masse videoer planlagt så det kommer mer artige saker og ting 😃. Ha en fin kveld. MVH Rune

    I would love to see a comparison (cardboard) test of tuned HDR 50 VS tuned HDR 68. Intuitively it would seem the '68 will be the most powerful, that's just common sense but I have a suspicion that the '50 will penetrate better because the projectile has less area? I know, circular argument.
    Very interesting to see this with one addition to the normal test; that is to add a layer of denim to the front of the target?

      hehehe. Iam sure they wait untill I have hooked up the airtank 😁. I just use it to plink and for fun. Nothing else. For defence I would choose something diffrent I guess 🤔

      I leave mine hooked up to the hds. Would prolly just grab it and drag the tank/vest behind it in a pinch since the hose is rather long. Def keep it loaded with 1 non lethal and one very lethal shot..

    31 joules, i expected something about 50 joules with all that quite expensive modifications. So you only have to open the gun without spending too much money.

      I only removed the valveblock. Then put on the HPA adapter and using my old Tippmann tank and hose. Noting very expencive. But it was just a test. I like CO2 more. If I use CO2 its no extra cost involved.

    How u tried to modify a regulator for higher output, that should be a interesting thing to do :)

      Sounds interesting. If I get hold of the right shims for the regulator then I try it 😃

      Not sure what you mean. But the restrictor in the CO2 tube can be removed or put back as you please.

      Yes. With HPA if can give ca 31 joule, and with CO2 ca 24 joule. Better than it was at 7,5 joule :)
