I didn’t know about all of this and it hurts but every time I see kpop idols doing something from other cultures like it’s normal. Hmmm idk when this is gonna change omg this hurts to see them behaving like this. These idols really need to be more educated. I hope idols really change their ways. I’m sad but really disappointed and mad.
I'm tired of people pretending that BTS is perfect. They did wrong stuff and we need to hold them accountable rather than defend them. They are grown men
OMG RIGHT. I've seen some black armys on twitter defend them too, and it's a shame. it's like we're not allowed to be offended because other black armys feel like bts has changed and grown from their mistakes, so that means we're supposed to feel the same way too. And don't even get me started on the double standards some armys have when it comes to bts and other kpop groups who do cultural appropriation or just something problematic in general...
I’m not black but this is facts and I’ve been saying this for years, but a lot of army will bash people if we say something like this but when it comes to other kpop groups they wanna be a hypocrite
they’re so disgusting, people go to any length to defend their favs despite black armys/people and native american armys/people have expressed how offended by are by it.
What I really noticed was that the reason why Namjoon used the black hairstyles was to look more aggressive and furious. Black hairstyles aren't meant to give off that look. SO many cultures have taken a glance at black culture and then identify it as something "ghetto" or "aggressive". It's honestly sad. I don't wear braids to look like that, I wear braids because it protects my hair and makes it easy to manage. So when people identity our culture that way it's really upsetting.
Girl same. Something that is beautiful and meant as a means for us to protect and grow our hair is being used as an "aesthetic" for other races while they continuously put us down. Smh
I’m not even black but I’m really sick and tired of this amount of racism and cultural appropriation.I’m an ARMY but still I can not ignore the things they’ve done.I still love them so much, but they should learn and apologize.
Then why still be an “army” if you can’t stand and are sick of their actions. Tbvfh y’all supporting them makes them think that whatever they do is fine and will not be held accountable for that.
@@Coolcatz. I mean she literally said in the beginning she doesn't mean to hold this over them for years but just bringing it to light. We held them accountable and now they stay in their lane 🤷🏽♀️ her bringing it up is pretty much to say they're not innocent and haven't apologized and we shouldn't treat them as if they haven't done anything wrong. At least that's how I see it. I always hold them accountable but I don't hold situations over their heads when they've stopped the behavior.
The comments made by RM and others about Hobi's color hit my heart and I felt so much sorrow for him. I'm sure he was hurt but what was he going to say?
Netflix or HBO need to do a documentary about racism and black culture appropriation in K-pop music. More people need to be aware of this major problem.
@kimh.8176 even newjeans keep on stealing the y2k black fashion and everyone is praising them for their so called "unique " fashion taste in kpop which is the black rnb 2000s fashion 🫥
Being Asian myself, the comments that BTS have said in the past is nothing new unfortunately. In most Asian culture, tanned/dark skin was seen as “ugly” and has been labeled as the “lower class people”. My family and relatives have make these types of comments towards me and other people within our family members and friends, commenting on skin tone, style, language, etc. My mom always commented on my skin, saying I was getting darker and darker. I was even given bleaching soap to brighten my skin. I got into BTS recently this year, and I have notice plenty comments and styles have done that involved colorist/racist/appropriating remarks. I’m not too sure where to stay in this situation, but I am glad this video is out to educate those who need to see the problem when incorporating Black culture into music/style within the KPop industry. I just genuinely hope BTS can somehow open up to this situation and take fault of their mistakes and comments.
Same. I'm a Filipino, when I was younger, I really like staying out in the sun playing with friends. One time I stayed at the beach for hours just playing... My skin got really dark because of that, mom told me that I look prettier when I was whiter.
In asian culture, being darker than others is seen as a bad thing. It doesn't matter whether you are south asian or east asian, colourism exists and its extremely hurtful. its also offensive to black people as it is as if you're degrading not only your own race, but another race too.
True that.. Southeast and South Asians are looked down in East Asian countries.. Even if you're a Native East Asian, if you're dark.. You'll get bullied
I’m sorry but it’s really no wonder Taehyung’s complexion has gotten so much lighter over the years. They’re literally constantly pointing out his darker skin tone...
He is still very tan with his beautiful honey skin. But Kpop whitewashes them a lot for tv/pictures/mvs. People that see them in person say that they're more tan in person. They said that their real skin color is best seen in the Norton Graham interview.
He's actually still tanned, especially during sunnier and warmer times of the year. But he unfortunately gets white washed a lot in pictures, music videos, etc.
Thing is, so many other idols are white washed just like him and it sucks. Like I honestly thought that was his skin tone getting into BTS just last year and I was so shocked to find out his skin is actually tanned
I’m a BTS stan, and I believe this is unacceptable behavior. They need to denounce all of these past statements. How ignorant. I’m disappointed. I’m so disappointed.
Then why are you still a “stan”. Stop “stanning” them and watch how they get everything in order. Lol. Mofos are addicted to getting more and more fame no matter the cost.
Bts out here talking about "Stop Asian Racism" while still not apologized for being hella racist, colorist & insensitive towards the cultures and skin tone of most of their fans. As an ex-army (yes because there's no way I keep listening to their music now) I'm so disappointed.
i feel like the whole kpop industry needs to be taught on black and native american culture and south asian culture for gg because they are the main ones to be affected. i’m glad bts have learned some things but clearly they need to be taught more on native american culture and also more in detail about cultural appropriation of black culture.
the fact none of them even addressed the situation very clearly and apoligized personally till now , is a huge step back for me. Racism is not a joke, they've done so many fouls yet no apologies till now.
i think most ppl are misunderstanding the point of this vid. Their (sorry idk the uploader's pronouns) intention wasnt to make ppl dislike, hate, or unstan BTS as a whole. I, myself, don't even know half of these problematic actions that theyve done, which says alot abt our fandom's skills at sweeping stuff under the rug. I love bts with my whole heart bcoz theyve helped me mentally and emotionally, and joon is like my main bias, and I am aware of the offenses he has done in the past, but not his other actions, so this vid is actually a great way for non-black stans to be fully educated on something theyve always been ignoring. And it sucks becoz they tend to ignore these actions in order to promote this sort of "perfect," "woke," and "intellectual" image on BTS, when clearly, theyve done soooooo much crap too, yet that doesnt necessarily take away their impact and artistry towards the world. There is so much more than kpop and sitting one's ass all day defending racism disguised as ignorance. Im a poc, and tbh, our schools dont really educate us abt black culture, but that shouldnt prevent one from trying to research and educate themselves. BTS arent bad people, bcoz they clearly have respect for their fans and artistry, but those arent enough to mask their problematic wrongdoings. Stan bts, but make sure to hold them accountable everytime they screw up. It shouldnt be that difficult to protect and stand up for black people, if u ignore the problem instead, its time 2 do some self evaluation lmao Oh and to add up, stan twt needs to stop using these conflicts as a vehicle to promote which is group is more problematic than the other. Like some of yall really dont care abt black people and just want to take these as chances to further stir up more conflicts instead of properly educating each other and its all fucking sickening.
As an Black fan of theirs, I still want an apology. Idc if these events happened years ago. We can’t sit here and call out everyone else for being racist when we don’t even hold our own favs accountable. Also non-black armies need to realize that they can’t speak for others in every situation. They shouldn’t tell us that we shouldn’t be offended, because it IS offensive. If they can donate to BLM and others like that, they can apologize appropriately to the black or any other POC (they offended) fans who support them.
The whole music indursty is build on black music without us yall would still be listening to classical music its digusting how people still treat us like this and make of fun us and use our culture :( im hurt man i really like bts but idk anymore. Edit: i saw comment saying that alot of black classical music was destroyed and black people were involved with it so there wouldn’t be any music without us.
100% about the music industry- I had to lay it out for the nonblacks though because you know they love to say with appropriation “other races do that”, when in reality these Kpop idols are quite literally mimicking Black culture. And ya, the prejudice is disgusting 😞😪 sending you love and support ♥️
I agree this is really offensive and I’m surprise they continue to get away with this. Sadly you’re consider bottom feeders being a dark skinned asian in Asia it’s not just blacks. This is an ignorant and insensitive issue and just saying it’s a cultural difference is an excuse.
its honestly funny how bts actually never apologized for this. and armies are going around saying that bts have apologized with no absolute proof whatsoever. their fans would literally do anything to make them look innocent. why cant they just accept the fucking truth. and plus, their fandom is hella toxic.
It may sound dumb but I would’ve never imagined them to discriminate/ be racist against other skin colors. Was blindsided since the media portrays them as perfect or great human beings as a fellow fan it’s good to know.
RM couldn’t find Tae and J-Hope when it was dark? Seriously? This is so racist and insulting. EVERY skin colour is beautiful. Let’s make the world a better place!
more colourist than racist actually. but i’m not surprised as someone who lives in asia colourism is EXTREMELY prevalent here and my own relatives have made fun of me for being tanned
@@clarajones9476 it’s extremely common in K-Pop due to Korean beauty standards and the country being over 90% ethnically Korean; it happened A LOT to Kai from EXO and pretty much everyone poked fun at it in his immediate circle, including my faves Taemin and Key from SHINee. It’s incredibly frustrating. But yeah, none of these moments surprise me.
People in Asia (specially East Asia) are extremely colourist. Even if the person is slightly tanned, they would come and make fun of them. The worst part is that i can't blame bts in the beggining cuz they grew up in this awful social environment (not only about the skin tone but also fat shaming). That doesn't mean that it's okay, they have to educate themselves more and apologize for their past actions. I grew up in a country with similar believes and i did some sh't without knowing it but i educated myself. I know it's hard to identify sth that it's so deep in your culture but It's extremely necessary.
Idk why but I feel like BTS will never apologize for this, whenever someone tries to talk about this, many armys just show up to call that person a hater and give some stupid excuses saying Namjoon already apologized, every human makes mistakes so we should just forgive them and many other stuffs, like seriously?? I know every human makes mistakes but what's wrong in accepting and apologizing for that mistake?? And BTS weren't 10 y/o old kids with absolutely no idea when they did these shamfull stuffs, they kept reapeating the same mistakes so many times and still some fans think they didn't had any idea The media and fans shows them as perfect people, fans treat them like gods so very few amount of people know about this side of BTS, these fans are seriously experts at hiding their idol's fault and defending them blindly And it's sad to know that some armys in this comment section are just pretending to accept their idols fault but in reality they don't even care about this!
Yess... I definitely think they would not apologize. They are big and why tf would they apologize? They never cared about this. They know it's wrong but they still said. People make excuses so that they can still be entertained. Not only they are all experts but malicious liars too.
BTS are one of my ultimate groups and i won't unstan them, but that doesn't mean that we can't hold them accountable everytime they do wrong actions. They are already adults and they should know what is wrong and what is right, defending them doesn't help them to learn from their actions at all.
Its hard to watch a video like this as an african american girl who has spent 5 years supporting this group. However, it is important to acknowledge the truth. I believe I have likely expected too much out of a group of young korean men raised in a culture that likely doesn’t prioritize black rights, let alone the specific struggles and issues regarding colorism and cultural appropriation. Its saddening but i guess we have to accept things aren’t right in order to change them. I guess I’ll have to figure out how i want to interact with the group from now on
My heart clenches when people laugh at the "black english" like wth is so funny? Nothing it's the way that a whole culture speaks. I am not african american, I am mexican, but I understand and empathyze with you, it felt so hurtful to see that for some reason. As a fan this must be si hard to cope with
Yeah, I'm from Brazil and super empatize with this. Everyone speaks different. They keep mocking the way black americans talk, but I am sure if someone mocked the way they talk, like saying tha all asians sound the same and blablabla, they would definitely be offended.
Right? I’m Mexican and ppl laughed at me because of the accent or because I was struggling to find the words to talk and it started making me upset, can’t imagine how black kpop fans feel after being mocked not only by the way they talk but also by the way they look.( Black ppl in general tho)
I was also surprised that they were laughing he promised not to do it in the future but when the future becomes the present he kept on doing the same thing painful 😔😔😔😔
no seriously. i’m all for holding groups accountable but tbfh no kpop fandom actually cares about this they just weaponize it into something to use against other fandoms… and that goes to A LOT of ARMYs on twitter. the moment you mention what their own group has done suddenly it doesn’t matter because it’s old.
I'm not gonna lie I am having conflicted feelings right now. Especially since I am a huge BTS stan but also a proud Maori girl. When you admire someone so much its blinding and sad because I've seen that clip with Jimin "roasting" RM saying he looks like a Maori chief. And my first reaction was "oh my god, he knows what Maori is that's so cool" but now its like "oh, that's what he meant." It's like a wake up call. It's infuriating when your culture and people are being disrespected especially when it's for the skin tone you wear.
I mean, you can still Stan kpop groups as long as fans hold the idols accountable. Sadly, the ARMY doesn't do that too often which can lead to controversy. Idols aren't you're friends and you shouldn't protect them if they've done something wrong.
Honestly Same! I can't really look at them the same way. They were my heart!!! And now it feels like they're "complete strangers" instead of those boys I fell in love with 5 yrs ago. I literally can't!!! 💔
In terms of BTS making an apology, anyone can put together a few words and call it an apology. Then turn around and continue doing exactly what they were before. Yes it seems like they've changed a tiny bit since some of this stuff has happened, but it doesn't feel like they've truly understood what they did wrong. Honestly to me it feels like a toddler stopped trying to stick a fork in a socket, simply because you told him not to. They don't really get it.
It’s crazy how I got dragged for calling out the kkamdongie situation when it came to light again and Army’s cover it up by saying Jimin was calling Jungkook black in a cute way like a black puppy. Pure bullshit
RM is the darkest member but yet he is the one mocking others for being dark! Is he OK? Plus they are talking like dark skin is a disease or something.
American Hustle Life was so cringe, especially the beginning. This is very educating and eye opening to someone like me who is white. It's a good reminder that BTS aren't perfect human beings and that they still have a lot to learn and improve on(and their fans of course). I hope that things that happen like this in the future that they are held accountable. And that fans will come together and point it out to them instead of arguing about it.
No it's actually messed up when people cancel other celebrities for saying the n word or mocking any culture but the bts stans are always covering up them saying they apologised and sh*t but they never did
bts never apologized for saying the n word yet they get a pass for it? ppl lypsync to then n word and get cancelled while they get away with it. biggest boy band in the world or not, u cant deny that they never apologized
I’m tired of supporting someone then realising they do stuff like this. I’m so tired, I’ve known all this for a while but was in denial. I’m exhausted. What a messed up society this is.
I'm sorry for all my sister's and brothers who are black and like kpop.. we love you, and you colour is not "agressive" or "bad" no you colour is perfet and we love you and you should to, i'm so sorry that korean idols are not that much educated, i hope they can be better in the futur but it will never happen if people people continue to defend them at all costs as if it were nothing (sorry for my english i'm french)
they say the hate us. but love our music, culture, and fashion. its so odd. i wish those people who hated us would stop doing anything that was/created by black ppl
It’s crazy how the same people who painted us to be poor and racist are the same people who are appropriating our culture and giving us no credit for it at all 😂😂like shame on them
I'm actually really glad that this video was made because it brings light to how much Kpop uses black culture for there own use. I love BTS but they need to be accountable and acknowledge there wrong doings to how the interpreted black culture.
I'm so sorry for all the black army community whatching this video but yes this is the reality not only in k pop industry but all around the world but be proud of your skin always remember that black people's are the most beautiful in the world lightskin or darkskin don't change for no one if they don't like you don't mind they will never understand how special you are and last never forget this word's :Black's power, pro melanin, black don't crack.
y’all, the video where bts were singing the n word, the comments section were like “they didnt know so dont cancel them” and “aww, im not black but i forgive them” LIKE BRUHHHH SOMEONE PLEASE HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE 😭 im so tired of standing up for myself and the people around me just because we’re black 😭
"They've educated themselves and grown" Namjoon saying his debut hair was dope in 2020. Jhope cns hair. Suga sampling Jim Jones. Hence proved Army has only 1.5 braincells
i feel like a lot of people need to understand that the person who made this video didn’t make it with the intent that everyone watching should stop being a fan right away and to hate them. you don’t need to feel guilty for being their fan, it’s just simply calling them out for things they really should own up to and address EXPLICITLY. contrary to what a lot of armys like to say, bts (specifically namjoon) have NOT apologized for everything that they’ve said or done to hurt other poc. aside from one very generic statement from namjoon that only really told people he acknowledged the things he did. even if there is an apology, that’s still not necessarily gonna fix everything. they need to show that they’ve truly changed and are educating themselves for the better and not just as an act. I’m sure it’s hurtful to see them promote “love yourself” but then pretty much throw the concept away when it comes to appearance.
That’s because they haven’t I’m arguing with a cult member know saying they’ve apologized and also saying I’m spreading misinformation. I’m tired of seeing this group everywhere knowing what they’ve done and said about my culture and skin color. Seeing them still being supported and not called out makes me so mad and uncomfortable.
And I once defended namjoon really hard saying he apologized, and I've just found out about this and it's incredibly embarrassing, even though I have respected and appreciated the members.
People continue to wonder why they’re not apologizing. They’re not apologizing because they’re not sorry. They meant every word they said and they’re not remorseful because that’s how they feel. RM and Jimin particularly sound and act like racists. I shouldn’t be surprised because this is how the majority of the world treats and thinks of black people, but I am. And I’m sad…and a little angry…and disgusted. I only discovered BTS six months ago after suffering a personal tragedy. I definitely found a much needed escape from reality in their music and videos, but I’m not sure I can continue now. I’m just sooooo over giving people the opportunity to “educate” themselves. A racist knows he’s a racist. These are grown men and most of them are extremely smart. They are well aware of their actions and prejudices. Unfortunately, this is who they are. I’m pretty sure I’ll never be able to truly enjoy them again. So very disappointing.
Suga disrespected my country twice. My bias flew away and never came back. I listen to hip hop now 🤷. I'm friggin brown but apparently they like to mock us. Sigh.
See, you CANNOT allow yourself to think that these people (specifically in kpop) are sweet and innocent little angels who can do no wrong. You’ll be disappointed and hurt every time, I learned that a long time ago with several groups and artists. Crush for example, a whole ass r&b artist, did a blackface performance on the masked singer. So listen to them if you want, but don’t invalidate people’s feelings when they see something that’s not right. Non blacks have to recognize that as black people, we pick up on the micro agressions and the subtle racism as well as the obvious. It’s honestly sad to see these guys say things like that and then turn around and tell others to love themselves and be kind. Of course it’s not just them, I don’t think there’s one Kpop idol out there who hasn’t said some foul mess. I pity people like that who grow up thinking it’s ok to talk about fellow humans this way. 🚶🏾♀️
Colorism is so sickening 🤢 "you're too dark" like.. Bro, you're not precisely light skinned either 🙄 the fact they have to call other people "dark" as if it was something bad just to feel better about themselves is disgusting and very sad. The worst part? Kpop stans that swear their idols are "white" (skintone speaking)
Liking the celebrities/culture/music doesn’t necessarily mean you like the people. I know of people that like bts but h@te other Asians. There are weeaboos who are wh!te supremac!sts. It’s more common than people realize
@@AdeolaAsh yeah... Iam one of them Don't get me wrong... Iam south asian.... But i love bts but don't mostly like east asians because of their concept on black people Iam a caramal brown girl...but somehow i also felt cringy 🥺
So funny because BTS is ohh so Handsome and Talented and the most famous, so they don't have to apologize. It's funny how Army's are always involved in other groups racist scandals, but cannot own up when their fave does it.
@@foley7046 Yup. Someone named KookieLit recently posted a really cruel video about Super Junior's scandals, but heaven forbid the person post a video like that about BTS!
Exactly!! I find it disgusting that they can easily cancel someone for being racist, but when it comes to their favorites… its a whole lot of mercy they’re giving them.
bog witch exaaaaaaactly. It is inexcusable and unforgettable. I would say unforgivable but I’ve never really heard an apology so I guess there is no one due for forgiveness here...😗 Oh and a New Years resolution and vague address is not an apology...incase anyone gets confused ☕️
The fact that so many people in the comments are surprised it shows that most kpop stans do not pay attention to their favs. Not only BTS but every kpop group / artist uses black culture to boost their brand. They, sing, rap, dance, dress and act like us but almost every group has done or said something racist towards us. When it's not them saying nigga, they're doing black face, or blackfishing. I personally don't have a problem with them wearing black hairstyles but I do have a problem with them wearing it whenever they want to " look hard". I got into kpop 2018 and soon got over it after that because every group that I discovered have done something racist towards my people. It became so exhausting. As for BTS its really ironic that a group that has a whole era preaching about "Love yourself" they are overly obsessed with not getting tanned. Most Asians aren't even white, they have such beautiful skin, too bad their culture doesn't embrace it.
Yep. This has been going on for years. My fav 2nd gen girl group SNSD did this too. The skin color of Yuri always gather attention since she was considered very dark. In one interview the host even called Yuri Beyoncé because of how tan she was....like really...
the fact that this video is four months old yet Armys are not saying one thing or making it an issue is disturbing...as an Army myself,I hate this part of our fandom...they would do anything and go to ANY EXTENT to make BTS look innocent...a lot of their behaviour is unacceptable...just because it’s in the past doesn’t mean that they’re suddenly angels...they NEVER EVER apologised genuinely for this and I feel like they still are kinda like that but don’t show it because they’re on the spotlight...but that doesn’t cover up for what they did...I thought Armys will at least trend this issue just like they do every time a BTS member blinks🙄...but they only trend useless things instead of stuffs like this...I’m sorry to say but I’m ashamed for this
I'm black and an army. RM is my bias and I have to say, He's probably the most problematic in BTS. Even after all the things he had done so many people still support him saying he had already apologized. He did not, I need an proper apology, All RM stans should get a proper apology.
As part of army myself, I think this is wrong on all levels. They need to take accountability for their actions. As much as I love them and their music, this is something that should not be ignored by bts or army.
I'm so sick and tired of people constantly profiting off my culture and they don't even respect the people. Every celebrity I've loved turned out to be racist and it just hurts me . I recently found BTS about two months ago and I instantly fell in love with them and their music. Tbh I was scared to look into their past because I was so afraid that I would find something that hurted me ,so I never did. This video has really opened my eyes and I really want to say thank you for it. I'm devastated as a black amry but the truth hurts ig.
That is horrible to hear! I feel exactly the same way. I left the fandom after the JJ incident when not only Yoongi did something bad, the fans protected him AND doxed black fans that said they were uncomfortable. I don't mind when artists mess up and learn from their mistakes, but if the fans are not holding them accountable I want no part in it.
Armys act like BTS are the most genuine people inside and out who do no bad...when their baby Jungkook cursed, they were so shocked but they don’t do anything when they’re clearly being racist...I’m sorry to say but if I was a black person,I would be uncomfortable to meet BTS thinking they’re secretly hating on me for my skin color and it’s just an act of them to look polite...that whole love yourself thing looks nonsense after this
and to this day the apology that allegedly exists can never actually be found. it’s just armys jumping through loopholes to try justify their past actions.
Coming from a black army myself I really don’t get some other black armys like for me it’s weird when they will make jokes out of bts racism or namjoon past and stuff but then when it comes to another group being racist and doing racist stuff they attacking other groups for doing racist stuff and being all serious and sending threats and stuff for other groups but then they will go simp over namjoon racist past and make jokes about bts being racist back then but then when someone else do the same thing for what they be doing to other groups when they do something racist they get really defensive
Exactly! Free my people from the double standards 😭 if they want to joke about bts then keep that same energy for other groups. Back when I used to engage with online fandoms, Black people from other kpop fandoms never wanted to talk to me because Black Armys are known for being hypocrites. I had to actively prove that I wasn’t like that before they let me into the Black Kpop stan group chats 💀 Black people in other kpop fandoms are hypocrites too, but Black Armys go the hardest. We will know peace the day people stop giving their faves a pass when in reality, they’re in the exact same bucket as everyone else.

Thank you for this video
him doing “black english” is equivalent to someone saying “cHinG cHoNg” and calling it a chinese impression

No it’s okay, emphasize black.
stacii. Exactly.
I'm tired of people pretending that BTS is perfect. They did wrong stuff and we need to hold them accountable rather than defend them. They are grown men
There not perfect no one is
For most of us we know they are not perfect.. we may say they are as an expression like "awwww he's perfect " but we all know they are not
everyone is obsessed with us but hates us at the same time and it’s getting weird.
Literally wtf
I love black people. They are always so nice. I'm from Pakistan.
It's been weird😩
tbh 🙄
Right bruh
the fact is that non-black armys on twitter are defending them-💀
I’m not black but this is facts and I’ve been saying this for years, but a lot of army will bash people if we say something like this but when it comes to other kpop groups they wanna be a hypocrite

naw im a black army and i defended them for a long time. now my eyes are more opened and i have second thoughts
Disgusting
It’s funny how people say they’ve apologised, and then their evidence is Namjoon’s new year’s resolution in which he didn’t even say the word ‘sorry’.
Exactly. My 4c hair is not aggressive. That's the way it grows out of my head
Girl same. Something that is beautiful and meant as a means for us to protect and grow our hair is being used as an "aesthetic" for other races while they continuously put us down. Smh

My skin got really dark because of that, mom told me that I look prettier when I was whiter.

i think most ppl are misunderstanding the point of this vid. It shouldnt be that difficult to protect and stand up for black people, if u ignore the problem instead, its time 2 do some self evaluation lmao
Oh and to add up, stan twt needs to stop using these conflicts as a vehicle to promote which is group is more problematic than the other. i feel like a lot of people need to understand that the person who made this video didn’t make it with the intent that everyone watching should stop being a fan right away and to hate them. you don’t need to feel guilty for being their fan, it’s just simply calling them out for things they really should own up to and address EXPLICITLY. contrary to what a lot of armys like to say, bts (specifically namjoon) have NOT apologized for everything that they’ve said or done to hurt other poc. aside from one very generic statement from namjoon that only really told people he acknowledged the things he did. even if there is an apology, that’s still not necessarily gonna fix everything. they need to show that they’ve truly changed and are educating themselves for the better and not just as an act.

Of course it’s not just them, I don’t think there’s one Kpop idol out there who hasn’t said some foul mess. omg the “black English” was soooo cringe 😬
I’m not black, but this just made me angry
Colorism is so sickening 🤢 "you're too dark" like.. Bro, you're not precisely light skinned either 🙄 the fact they have to call other people "dark" as if it was something bad just to feel better about themselves is disgusting and very sad.
The worst part? Kpop stans that swear their idols are "white" (skintone speaking)
ikr colorism is the worst thing i've ever seen
Armys let it all slide, and shut down rightfully offended people...yet theyre so quick to shut down harmless groups
Exactly when I said I was offended I got attacked by armys
And yet they love a lot of black celebrities.... i don't understand anymoree
Liking the celebrities/culture/music doesn’t necessarily mean you like the people. I know of people that like bts but h@te other Asians. There are weeaboos who are wh!te supremac!sts. It’s more common than people realize
@@AdeolaAsh yeah... Iam one of them
Don't get me wrong... Iam south asian.... But i love bts but don't mostly like east asians because of their concept on black people
Iam a caramal brown girl...but somehow i also felt cringy 🥺
Let me see someone pull the "they apologized" card.
So funny because BTS is ohh so Handsome and Talented and the most famous, so they don't have to apologize. It's funny how Army's are always involved in other groups racist scandals, but cannot own up when their fave does it.
exactly why i hate their fandom.
So true
@@foley7046 Yup. Someone named KookieLit recently posted a really cruel video about Super Junior's scandals, but heaven forbid the person post a video like that about BTS!
Exactly!! I find it disgusting that they can easily cancel someone for being racist, but when it comes to their favorites… its a whole lot of mercy they’re giving them.
they need to be accountable. There is no excuse, they are all adults with access who can educate themselves on racism and colourism.
bog witch exaaaaaaactly. It is inexcusable and unforgettable. I would say unforgivable but I’ve never really heard an apology so I guess there is no one due for forgiveness here...😗
Oh and a New Years resolution and vague address is not an apology...incase anyone gets confused ☕️
This is why I don't "Stan" kpop idols anymore... 🤦🏾
Me too
Me too
Your name, I love that
If you try to educate their cult, you get attacked and they defend them.
💯

In one interview the host even called Yuri Beyoncé because of how tan she was....like really...
being black, its hard sometimes to like kpop in general
K-pop shows be putting this sound effects as if this shit is cute and "uwu" while they being racist and offensive asf, like it's getting on my nerves.
the fact that this video is four months old yet Armys are not saying one thing or making it an issue is disturbing...as an Army myself,I hate this part of our fandom...they would do anything and go to ANY EXTENT to make BTS look innocent...a lot of their behaviour is unacceptable...just because it’s in the past doesn’t mean that they’re suddenly angels...they NEVER EVER apologised genuinely for this and I feel like they still are kinda like that but don’t show it because they’re on the spotlight...but that doesn’t cover up for what they did...I thought Armys will at least trend this issue just like they do every time a BTS member blinks🙄...but they only trend useless things instead of stuffs like this...I’m sorry to say but I’m ashamed for this
I'm black and an army. RM is my bias and I have to say, He's probably the most problematic in BTS. Even after all the things he had done so many people still support him saying he had already apologized. He did not, I need an proper apology, All RM stans should get a proper apology.
Lmao all the members should apologize
I already posted this on weverse 💀
@@lyrics3377 same lol
I don't mind when artists mess up and learn from their mistakes, but if the fans are not holding them accountable I want no part in it.
imagine if this is only the tip of the iceberg. we never know how racist and colorist they can get behind cameras. it's really sad.
@@AdeolaAsh I agree
I thought their ignorance ended in 2015 but it seems like they have a lot of learning to do.
Meanwhile ARMYS - see no evil. hear no evil, speak no evil but lets say other groups are racist
😂😂😂😂
Funny how armies talk shit about other groups when their faves are problematic AF
