I've got a Chinese "clone" direct off ali express. VALUE FOR MONEY is certainly there, but there is a flaw with the design quality - when I change zoom / magnification, I have to change the eyepiece focus (not parallax). That's certainly a bloody nuisance if you were going to use it in the field. On the other hand, I got change out of $90 (delivered) for a 4-16x44, and once it's "dialled in" on a set target, it is, to me, a better quality glass than any of my Tasco or Bushnell scopes. (slight tangent: I'd placed an order (and moved money on to my credit card) for a Sightron SIII 8-32x56 through Optics Planet. TWO weeks later I got an email from them that due to contractual agreements they were unable to supply to Australia and they cancelled the order). I'm still in the market for a Sightron SIII, but I know MY price point (what I COULD have had it for), and I'm not paying a FOUR FIGURE markup for a LGS to act as a post office.
@@craigparker4108 I’ve never really noticed a difference to be brutally honest with you. I’m very accustomed to using 90 degree bolt throw, so it’s much of a muchness.
I will never purchase another discovery scope, their warranty says lifetime, says no receipt required, well one I purchased a few years back has failed they will do nothing about it.
I think you need to interact with the channel or youtube unsubs people. just click a "like", comment for the algo or watch it in the background. I know a lot of my comments get removed so I have to spell some words wrong to screw up the youtube algo. Easier to Patreon no hassles there.

But for hunting I prefer second focal plane over first and lightweight.
I run Swarovski on all my rifles, but there’s a lot of cheap stuff that looks good in the market
I think the gap between cheap and expensive in terms of quality is getting smaller.
Scope seems OK but the Howa bolt lift of 90 degrees still sucks. 👍
