Thank you all so much for participating. What was your favorite game from this jam? (link to all games in the description)
@@rgc-exists Probably not. I didn't do too much "commentary" so it would really just be a ton of raw gameplay footage. Not sure how interesting that would be to watch.
Definitly WASD Quartet. I had goosebumps when I played it. That game is my absolute #1 of this Jam
unfortunately i dont know how to make games yet but after my first week of game dev in collage thats changing quickly. thank you for showing me how cool game dev is and i hope to see you in the next one.
@@JonasTyroller raw gameplay footage would be epic 😎 (at least if you played my game)
Shoot a free will you snail key if you get into the top 10, might have to learn to code
WOOO!!! I made AIr Fight, and I did not expect at all my game to be your pick for top 1! Thank you! The way you described the falling and getting rescued mechanic to be similar to what we see in movies is exactly what I was going for, so I am glad that this is effectively the feeling you get when playing the game
Supper cool game concept
congrats on winning mate!
it reminds me of Trico from the ico and shadow of colossus merge
This was such a creative idea, and I couldn't agree more that we seriously need more ai that doesn't just serve as a punching bag
WASD Quartet looks incredible. Such a simple concept, but super wholesome. Love all the games shown! So creative
Steam version incoming :) ♥
@@lejocarry OF COURSE YOU MADE IT! Awesome job😁
@@TheShelfman Thank you ♥
BTW, still waiting for your feedback on Spikair Volleyball demo (you played the Alpha in your video 😇)
@@lejocarry Oh nice! Might give that a shot on my channel purely focused on playing games. I'll tag you on twitter if/when I do!
@@TheShelfman Is it a second channel ?
Ahhh thanks for putting Dustpocalypse at the top 10! We really worked hard on it and cant believe all the positive feedback we've gotten! Congrats to all the other winners too! (also jonas credited us wrong in the va lol)
Oh no. So sorry about that. About 60 games in the vid. Took me 2 hours to add all of the credits and I was too impatient to double check all of them again. AHHH! :D
@@JonasTyroller yep i definetly understand lol, awesome video!
That game was in my top 3 favorites for sure. You usually play jam games for 5 mins but this got me hooked and I played for more than an hour. Really cool game you made!
I was glad to see this one make the top 10. Well deserved. Had the best fun factor of all the games I tried :)
Great work from this incredibly creative community!
I can't thank you enough, because of you I finally am making a full steam release game. After the jam I also found a music designer and... I got 50% of the first chapter of the game done! Thank you Jonas! ^-^
Well done to everyone who was featured! I did not, but still i got something like 153rd with my game Apocalypse with Friends, and considering that this was my first jam, I think i did quite well!
In the future i would definitely take more of a risk, My idea was very safe, because i leant towards simplicity and fun rather than creativity, and i was not expecting how experimental most of the games were.
I don't understand how people are able to make these games in just 3 days. Congrats to all who participated!
they already have a bunch of scripts and assets made from other projects and just copy/paste and change it up a bit.
@@Danuxsy not necessary, script can be made in an hour, if you have experience doing it
@@Prajwal____ still, textures, assets and sound effects may actually just be copy and pasted
Thanks for hosting this amazing jam, it was such a creative theme! Also I can't believe my pacman game made it in your top 10!
This jam theme was probably my favorite one. Unfortunately, I didn't go so far in this event due to bad time management. I still had a great time tho. Cheers to everyone who participated and especially the winners!
This was me and my friend's first game jam. We actually managed to finish it! We didn't know what to do at all, and our game was nothing in the name of video games in general, haha. Thanks you so much for giving us a chance to actually finish a game! :D
A Roomba is an AI. I believe by definition it's something humans give an algorithm to complete one of more tasks. Most AI can only really learn additional information if given the ability to do so by a human and that is why they are currently still flawed and cannot even come close to matching human creativity without using what we humans do as a reference.
Ai is defined by the power to take environmental information and react to it. So, turning right when colliding is using AI.
AI is artifical intelligence but I think an algorithm counts as an AI.
@@lubu682 Yes. An algorithm is AI if it is "aware" of its surroundings.
@@GS-td3yc :0 I was right
Glad to have participated, you can expect the return of billybob (the third) next year for wowwie jam 5.0
Daddy
Thank you so much!! We really had a blast making our game and playing each others games ^^
That was my first game jam participation and I am very happy that I was able to publish my game. Thank you!
This jam was a ton of fun and all the entries I tried were great. Thank you for hosting it.
I think it's so cool that the wasd robots are shaped like A, S, W, and D
as the creator of rage with the machine, I really appreciated working in the jam, even If i didn't end up winning by a long shot
This jam was an amazing experience, thank you Jonas!
That's a great personal top 10.
I schloved the jam, thank you for hosting this! Even though I am not really a team player I had lots of fun with my jam team Yän, GneissKitty and Pothencial. They're just super lovely and talented and I'm super happy how the jam game turned out. 💙 Also thanks to the awesome theme! Schloving AI.
It was lovely working with you, too! Your story and art turned out great!
4:54 my crappy little game made it for like half a second, let's gooooooo! But seriously not bad for my first game jam.
holy sh*t, I love this community!
Awesome jam, really loved the theme. You ended up with a lot of innovative game, thank you for making this jam!
I love game jams, it's just so cool to see what people come up with under time pressure
Tricky Keys 2 at 4:10 looks so freaking clean. Once I'm done watching the video I'll try it out.
This was so fun. Thank you Jonas for this amazing Jam. I am already looking forward to next year :D
I'm so happy that my game is even in the video, although only at the end when all the games were shown while scrolling, but it was in it xD
Your thumbnail makes me realize that if you were the villain in a horror movie you would either be one of the most horrifying or your cuteness would come through and make you one of the most hilarious. Either way it's a winning bet.
A note on "WILL YOU SNAIL".... I wish the A.I. tried to find just the right difficulty instead of just trying to mercilessly destroy you as hard as possible. ( but then platformers aren't my preferred genre either... )
All of those games look super cool! Thanks for making the game jam, it seems like a lot of people enjoyed themselves making these masterpieces
Was a really fun jam to take part in, well done to everyone else who submitted and especially those who were rated top!
Thank you for hosting this Jam! I had a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to Wowie 5.0
I really wasn't expecting to see my game 30s into the video! Making Teeving Up was such an enriching experience. Thanks again for hosting this amazing game jam❤️
the first step for Isekai games procedural party members in future Solo-playing RPGs
100% one of the biggest brain game jam themes I've ever seen! Really wish I didn't miss this one. Until next year Jonas!
4:20
No, i didn't write it because "haha funnie nomberrrr". I wrote it to remind myself to play the game at that time stamp.
I totally missed this video! Found it this evening, loved it.
The ai in will you snail is so interesting, its always nice to see people push the boundaries of game development!
We all know that no triple a game corporation would innovate with stuff like ai that changes the environment to piss you off and make the game harder as you move.
09:17 This is basically playing as Tainted Jacob in TBOI, but if he was a good character.
Thank you for this amazing game jam
This jam was so fun! I loved the theme so much
I had a lot of fun making a game for this jam! needless to day I'm definitely going to compete in the next one
because of this jam i made my first game! thank you!
We're not even out of the honorable mentions and there's already a few games I wanna wishlist on Steam...
How this video doesn’t have 5M views is beyond me.
3:33 the I reminds me of the I of it… probably the most nostalgic game for me
Well am I annoyed I only just watched this video now. I've always loved AI companions in games so this was fascinating. It's a shame I didn't get to enter this jam! Looks like it was a lot of fun! Some very cool ideas!
This was my first game jam!
If you want to make more AI friends, maybe we can also be friend with Squid? I don't know how a character so antagonistic seems so endearing, but they are. I mean, Glados from portal is super funny, as is Wheatley, but somewhow the pink bracket boy is the friend-shaped one.
Great constant! Keep it up man.
Glad I participated in this jam! It's my first game jam too!
That was a fantastic experience. Thank you very much ♥
Why would RUclips put this on my feed 4 days later? I'm a subscriber and I would've watched day 1.
I can't blieve I missed this ears Wowie Jam. I most definitely will join in on the next one jonas. Esepcially now that I feel confident with my beginner friendly knowledge of coding now. amazing theme pick as always Jonas. :)
The one at number two spot is awesome! It is just like the jam mode on Wii music which I used to love!
6:33 LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! :D
Thank You So Much! This Jam Was a Blast and It Almost Could've Been Nothing Due to a Game Breaking Glitch, But Luckily You Allowed Me to Post an Updated Version of My Game! I'm So Incredibly Happy That We Made It in As This is The First Time This Ever Happened and, I Also Wanna Take a Little Time to Thank Master Cannoli Who Made The Backgrounds and Came Up with The Name of The Game!
But I Wish You The Best Jonas and I'm Eagerly Awaiting The Next Jam! :D
Thank You!
The fact that you're the guy that made "Will you snail" just casually being dropped in the middle of the video was not something I'd expected, gotta say
Jonas ensuring with that last comment that he's on the right side of history when our computer overlords take over.
Thanks for organising the jam, Jonas! It was a blast!
-poorlydrawn
Such an honor joining the game jam, thank you!!!
I'm just glad I was able to submit something this time lol
Best game jam theme ive seen in a while
AAHHH I wish I participated in this jam! I have the perfect game concept that fits this theme perfectly! Ah well.
My first game jam and it was really fun. Thank you for the experience and theme
Same!
Definitely struggled with this theme, especially for only my 2nd jam, but was great fun!
DICTIONARY DEFINITION: Cheeky --> the guy who made "amma use the A... and the I..."
Great theme this year!
Nice Video and Great Game! :)
Easiest Will You Snail? plug ever lmao. Very cool jam, there were a lot of amazing games :)
Yes! Great content mr jonas!
jesus literally all the games had a good amount of thought put behind it and this video represents it perfectly
Sick Games, really loved the game with the Glass Workers :D
And number one gmae - Super Platform xD
I had a really great idea with a pretty small scope, but I just couldn't get it working in time... Maybe next jam...
So much creativity
This being my first game jam was a great experience and even though my game was in the 900's im still happy about this jam (:
Installed, everything works, thanks!
Yes we made it happen with over 1000 games but it was Jonas who gathered us all, Jonas thanks, without you there wouldn't been this many awesome Ideas and creative arts, Can't wait to participate in next year's WOWIE jam as always cuz its the best Jam ever
Guess I didn't make it... Yet I'm happy I participated and I'm now turning it into a full steam release!
These games were all made in three-and-a-half days?! I couldn't do any of these in three-and-a-half months! lol Well done to everyone.
Jonas I think you made a mistake with Will-you-snail?. I think it took 3 and a half years instead of 3 and a half days. Anyway great game. ;-)
Thanks for the mention :)
There are a lot of great games i missed during the jam...
The last one you showed with the platform could be a sonic game where you are Sonic and Tails is driving the plane
Great job everyone!
I was going to participate, but my internet broke down for 80% of the jam
15:42 you can see my game. Made it into the video. Wowwiiiieeee. Even if it's just a thumbnail!
I loved trying golf yes. It blew me away how polished it felt.
I made Myrics game, and I was lazy so I waited till like the last day to make it. But it was a fun time!
IT IS FINALLY OUT YES
Your channel name just won’t stick to my brain. Every type i have to search for will you snail or some things related to game dev
It was really fun!
I wonder if anyone made a Tetris game were an AI gives you the pieces that would be best fit for you situation, I thought about this idea for a while and I think it could be a very chill game (that may never end).
Oh you made that snail game I love that game I got that for ps5
this is actually really interesting and fun
Yay CU-T3 made it into the honorable mentions :D Congratulations to everyone, some of the games were absolutely amazing!!!
3:27 is a funny interpretation
AI is exactly what it says on the tin. It's a set of algorithms to simulate intelligent behavior to solve a problem. A robot moving forward and turning 90 degrees right when it hits something absolutely qualifies.
_Maybe the real jam winner is the friends we made along the way_
How can i reach the developers in the last game "air fight" ? Im kinda struggling with ai for my game and this game does exacly what i was planing to do
i like game jams yet im not even close to the skill level to make a game in unity yet. I may one day join a jam and hopefully I make something that will be fun for you to play!
Theres alot of really cool games here wew
It was a really fun game jam. I played a lot of good games and learnt a lot of things.
I know one day I will participate in a game jam, I just need more experience.
Anyways I'm gonna go play some of these games now.
