I tell everyone who wants to get a rabbit to get two of them. They take GREAT care of each other, play around, and are much happier with their companion.🐰
@@kurt1391 you get them fixed.... it helps them be less aggressive and litter train better. I have two bonded 1 yr old spayed holland lops. They absolutely love each other.
My brother raised rabbits when we were growing up, and they all had their own little personalities. I am so happy that Bucks and Ginny bonded and now they never have to be lonely 💗💙
I've had rabbits for 25 years. They're my favorite people One thing they all have in common, is a love for bananas. I think it was an oversight from the creator to have made bananas and rabbits native to different parts of the world.
Love the fur, but even better is hearing obvious animal lovers talk about their pet's personalities and trying to make them happy. It reminds me that there are good people in the world!
My first rabbit (blk and white Dutch) was a Easter throwaway i rescued. Rufus gave me 13yrs of comical antics and such love. He got along so well with my dogs and cats and birds. I miss him everyday.
Geweldig! Ik heb 2 konijnen gehad die precies op hun lijken. Een grijze Duitse reus en gele Vlaamse reus. Ik mis ze nog steeds heel erg dus genieg heel erg van dit filmpje!
Agreed. Our bunnies were inside bunnies always. Yes, there's some cleaning up but that's pet responsibility. Our bunnies were loved, spoiled and are terribly missed but they lived 8 years which considering a wild, outside bunny has a two year life span, was a blessing. A kiss from a bunny is unforgettable. We called their kisses 'velvets' as that is how soft they are. They are not children's pets. Nor are they meat. They are precious sentient beings deserving of love.
I know veterinarians will disagree, but I see no reason to castrate the male. Do a vasectomy so they could have been intimate & experienced that pleasure that has no equal.
I rescued/adopted a pair of bonded holland lop females... I've had them almost 2 months and they just now will come up to me. They free roam half of the house... they say it can take around 6 months for them to relax. Hopefully soon.
Love Rabbits sooooo much ... So super cute xoxox It very much upset me when people don't respect there habitat and instead bait them. We are as human being more inferior then rabbits, dogs, and cat and the list goes on. In a nut shell! animals ROCK xoxox
ALL animals have different personalities every single one, even bugs, the day we start knowing and 100% believe that animals are able to think and feel pretty much like us, and we just speak different languages, i believe they know something we dont, because they actually know how to live day to day and enjoy life WITHOUT destroying everything so in a way for me they are way more intelligent like elephants and dolphins and wales are way better mothers than ANY human will ever be, some are highly intelligent
You have found your own children in these two bunnies! It’s a little bit worrying that Jenny nips you but maybe she is still knew to you. Let’s hope she becomes sweet like Bucks. But they look so much fun and are lovely creatures! ❤️🐰🐇❤
I always liked rabbits as a kid; but it wasn't until I read "Watership Down" when I was fifteen that made me look at them in an entirely different light for the rest of my life.
This is common in the US as well, assuming "throw out" was the wrong word choice here. The reason is that people buy pets for the holidays as gifts or for their own family. After a month or two, some people realize that a pet isn't for them. So more pets than usual are given to shelters right after the holidays because people want to get rid of them.
Love rabbits too. I used to got one. She grew up and started roaming the yard and then the house. We introduced another one but we didn't know it came with a sick and after a few weeks, it died and than she got sick a few weeks later died too. I missed her especially so much. I'm looking into getting another one.
I rescue animals - I found a gorgeous white rabbit under a car in a busy street. Nigel came home but no one asked the vet if a rabbit had been handed in - so of course I had to sit and research. There is a lot to learn. I too was worried about Nigel being alone and did not keep in an enclosed hutch - that just seems cruel to me - so he could sit in there and eat his lucerne and hay but also run around. I was careful too about the electricals. People don't know rabbits teeth keep growing and they have to grind them down - so I had a log in what was a complete takeover nearly. I soon happened on Stella - a poor rabbit in a pet shop shared with a Rex. Stella was a Dutch lopear. She was almost bald because of the aggressive Rex. I had read that rabbits can love each other instantly or just fight. After two days I went to get Stella. The pet shop had put her in the storage room because of her nearly bald condition and was not -sell-able. I was so angry. Anyway, I decided I would give it a try. As soon as I opened to box to let them meet, they were in love and ran and ran around the dining table in a wonderful world of their own. One disclaimer for you - rabbits don't just fall in love with the opposite sex. In fact two males are great companions and can bond really easily. And they loved each other for the rest of their lives. Update on that story because Nigel was probably older - can't talk about all of that. But the story is - two male rabbits can get on so well together and can have a range to your home if you are careful about electricals. And all rabbits have unique personalities. I adore them. Endicott was my third, but more about him and his heroic nature another time. The loving chatter they do when you are gently patting their head is so heartwarming. Not too many foods that have high sugar content though.... Fresh herbs like parsley and coriander and mint and suitable veggies to work their teeth on are great. I miss them. But I LOVED them all.
I used to raise checker giants and chinnal giants 22 pounds a piece at a year old they were tough ones if out in a big pen verses individual pens they would have smaller cats come around and the rabbits would kill the cats if they got out of big pen and escape my rat terrier and I would go look for them and do a round up I think he thought he was a herding class dog. When he got it back to the big pen he was careful to give the rabbit time to dive under the chicken wire and not get kicked by those hind legs so funny.
I'm breeding rabbits for meat. My two breeders are kinda like pets. I feel bad because there in separate hutches and can't cuddle. But i have to keep them apart or else they'll breed. You want to control the breeding. Also once a female rabbit gets pregnant you remove the male. I set up a security camera to watch them and they lay at the door to the hutches which is as close as they can get to each other. When i have more females I"m going to have two per hutch so they can cuddle. But I have to keep the males separate to prevent unwanted breeding and fights.
If you get 2 rabbits, get a male and female also make sure they have lots of running room. If you get 2 males or females they will fight. I have 2 male Flemish giants (brothers) and I have to keep them apart otherwise they fight. It's not a pretty sight.
Thats no rabbit its a hare, flemish giants .we raised rabbits and hares .we would use the flemish giants for holiday dinners 35 pounds,,holds,15 lbs of stuffing ,slow smoked for 6 hrs, with hickory wood.much better than turkey.
I used to like rabbits to, until I've seen them in large numbers. They're "rodents". I don't know why we generally think they're so cute. This one is HUGE too! Imagine if it were a RAT the size of a terrier. 😲
Of course they have their own personalities, they are individuals. All animals are sentient beings. Please don't eat animals. They value their lives and don't want to die.
It's just a pity that they will never be able to feel grass under their paws, smell and nibble field flowers and be able to lie in the sand under a hedge or bushes. Never be able to run or dig in it either. They love digging, a everyone knows..
I am glad they are fixed. They are so adorable.
Remember folks....you're no bunny until some bunny loves you. ❤
I used to love with a bunny - oh wait that was at the playboy mansion.
So nice to see. Everybunny needs a friend.

Assuming rabbits have been around for LOTS of years, their most dangerous predator is us.
Lovely video 😊❤
Rabbits have their own personality that's what makes them special
They look so cute together. Beautiful bunnies. Nice you got Bux a companion.❤💗🧡💚💜💙 This video really made my day. So sweet and happy.
We had also a Rabbit, best friends with the neighbour cat… always chasing after eachother 😊
How cute❤❤❤
Very touching!!!🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’d love such big bunnies but I live in a very small flat so will probably have to go for dwarf breeds! Your two are gorgeous.

Awwww ppl throw away their pets especially during the holidays?!? That’s just heartbreaking to hear!

Just what the world needs...more married rabbits. 😎
cute !...i love this !..........🥰
I've started turning sockets upside down, this means I can use trunking easier. Looks daft, but who cares, it's safer.
Rabbits can be extremely vicious when they fight but my experience of them is they are very lovely creatures
And while you're in your refrigerator bring me a beer
Beautiful :)
Sounds like an AI voice to me!! Yikes. Guess this is the future!!
How many critters are in your house ???
I don't think that really matters being they're spayed and neutered
So they'll likely live until they don't
A wonderful story 🎉🎉

Yes, they are 😂
Rabbits are easy to litter train. I barely had to do anything besides place a litterbox in the spot he designated as the bathroom
