This beef is about to get ugly and this apology will end up aging like the finest of wines, watch. I’m also not kidding when I say that this alone made me consider revisiting Cole’s music again. The bars about him “wanting smoke” and him “being the greatest of all time” will never sound not goofy now, but I suspect Jermaine could’ve seen this getting nasty afterwards, and he did not want to force any tension. Knowing Kendrick’s and Drake’s relationship this was never going to be just about lyrically challenging the top MC’s in the game, this was GOING to be ugly and I’d hate to see such a good spirit like Cole, who I don’t think has any skeleton in the closet at all, being spat on and torn to shreds. I just hope he’s doing okay.
