Omg what a absolutely stunning bird that I have ever seen in my life. His colours are so beautiful they almost take your breath away. I would love to see one in real life, isn't nature a gorgeous work of art. 😍
I have a bird feeder in front of a window under the eave. I was amazed to see a male painted bunting land on it and hang around for awhile. They are a gorgeous work of living art made by the Living God who is the Grand Creator. Everything about Creation testifies to his power, wisdom and above all, his love.
Three days ago I saw my first male painted bunting at age 51 in Southwest Georgia. It landed about three feet from my face and stayed there for maybe 15-20 glorious seconds. I had no idea they existed until then.
I have lived in Texas my whole life and saw one for the first time. I couldn't believe it. Why is our state bird the Mockingbird when we could have picked this?!
I was fortunate to have a painted bunting on my feeder this morning for about an hour . 😆 At first I thought it was a cardinal but was absolutely stunned when he came out of the trees and I could see all the beautiful colors! He must have been really hungry because the squirrels and Jays didn't faze him.
I saw one today for the first time just an hour ago. He played a little in a planter saucer of water that had filled up from a earlier afternoon shower
Beautiful birds!!!! I keep rewinding to the very beginning to watch the first coloured bunting zip into the shot so fast and majestically lmao, it’s so funny/cute. Like he enters the shot so fast, just keep rewinding to the very beginning and watch him zoom in. Ok.. I admit, I’m probably the only person who finds this amusing/ epic/ cute
@@sharondavis5516 oh you’re lucky! We don’t have them where I’m from in Canada, we do have nice cardinals though and bluejays etc. i love cardinals lol
Oh I'm so jealous! What a gorgeous bird! Even the female is super pretty. That would have just been mean if the female of this species was brown don't you think? LOL
Breathtakingly beautiful bird! Have never seen one in the wild. I feel very privileged to have once seen a Bluebird. So much prettier than a Blue Jay. And I saw it about half a mile from the Blue Bird bus factory in my town!
I had a male and female Painted Bunting come into my backyard just outside the dining room window a week back. I wasn't more than five feet from the male. I had never seen one of these birds and never even knew they existed. I live just a few miles from the geographical center of Texas. I couldn't believe what I was looking at. My cousin and his wife have never seen one. I hope they will breed here and we will have the pleasure of seeing them ever now and then. We see Cardinals all the time. They are also a beautiful bird.
Very good "looks" of painted buntings. Wish you included a link to a reference page with illustrations, still photos, description, identification markings, behavior, habitat, migration routes if any, nesting and winter range maps and links to videos of similar species like indigo buntings for example.
Breathtainging stunning bird! I had not seen these (and not here in NY). Got the weekly JoePhoto (Webshots) email and gasped at the male Painted Bunting in one of them, had to find a video. Thank you!!
He's more colorful than some Parrots! I didn't know we had birds this colorful ..well Blue Jays are colorful. Birds so multi colored in North America. Thanks for showing him! 😃 Is the green bird is the female Bunting? If so then she is more colorful than some male birds of other species!

We’re so fortunate to have found them recently in our back yard!!!
Mary, where do you live? These birds are stunning.
I put feed everywhere now. Having these birds in my back yard is a blessing since they are no endangered. They even had babies ❤️ Columbia SC

Paul Contreras We only had one visit NYC a few years ago in Brooklyn Prospect park. I do wish we have some of the birds y'all have in California.
I am blessed to have 7 of these beautiful birds coming to my feeder in Central FL right now. Always make me stop and smile!
Sally Crawford they must've been out of range
This is amazing. I saw a painted bunting recently, but unfortunately it was dead. 😞
WOW
The males look like they fell into a vat of discarded paint

The bright green birds are females and the duller green ones are immature males - they turn multi-colored in their second year.
Oh OK! Thanks! 😃
such a pretty bird are they in East Tennessee as well ?
No they stick to the Atlantic coast from Florida up to about southeast NC - sometimes spotted further north up the coast. BB
Beautiful birds. What kind of seed do they like?
Mostly white millet.
