The new Les Paul Standard returns to the classic design that made it famous. It pays tribute to Gibson's Golden Era of innovation and brings authenticity back to life. The Les Paul Standard 50s P-90 has a solid mahogany body with a maple top and a rounded 50s-style mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard and trapezoid inlays. It's equipped with an ABR-1, the classic-style Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, an aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, and Top Hat knobs. The classic P-90 pickups (neck and bridge) are loaded with Alnico 5 magnets, audio taper potentiometers, and Orange Drop® capacitors.

Great jam John and Zach keep this format going ! It's really cool and makes the testing or comparison wonderful like a live show.
I'm not sure of the humbuckers in the 50s LP if they are true PAF unpotted but what I heard is Seth Lover basically made the P90 split in 2 coils each wound opposite direction to achieve the humbucker effect, besides the magnet screws and rods opposite polarity, so in the end the original PAF is not too different from the original P90s, just the HB slightly a bit more mids and bass but very clear sounding. I prefer original P90s but if there's too much hum I'll also like a PAF, as long they're low output to be very dynamic.
