Love the year book. 1957, the year I was born. I found a yearbook thrifting a few years back. It had a phone # inside. I called the owner, and mailed it to her. She was thrilled. She had a nasty divorce, and her x got rid of lots of her belongings!

Yearbooks are a good seller . Sadly - the 1950s and early 1960s are getting harder to sell due to the age of the people who are that old : 1980s and 1990s are moving faster. And at the same price. I get the feeling that Goodwill tosses stuff like yearbooks because they are not "basic books" like a novel or a cookbook. You should see LOTS of yearbooks for sale and I never do. They throw them away ..

I have been looking for a copy of my yearbook everywhere I can think and I still can't find it. I lost mine with my kid's baby books and photo albums and pictures from my childhood up to my kid's toddler years in a move in 2008. I'm still incredibly heartbroken to this day whenever I think of all of those precious pics of memories gone.

That is so cool what a great story and a kind thing to do to go out of your way to contact her. I'm sure she was thrilled to see it again.😊
There is a yt creator who scavenges a river down in Texas, he found a university ring in the river the name of the person was inscribed into it and he found the guy it belong to. He was so thrilled to get his ring back. Can you imagine thinking you'll never see it again and some random stranger contacts you.
Sometimes life is just wonderfully weird.
Love the glamour head shots in that yearbook they are epic.

“Boxing Ring” is actually a paper napkin holder for outside on a windy day. The “Curtain Rod” is the weight that holds them down and prevents them from blowing away.

Very proud of you for going down the glass isle. If you took a 395 uv black light and shine it on clear glass, the manganese in it will glow green. It will be older glassware. They used manganese to actually make the glass more clear. But it's collectable. It may make the glass isle more fun. LOL

Then I used to go through these jerk stores when I was a teenager and find treasure one time when I was a kid probably around 10 I was going through someone’s garbage and found an evening in Paris perfume kit. It had bottles in it and everything I took it home, and my mom could not believe I had found it.

Love the wood tray with “baskets” on it. The blue/green Murano glass is beautiful. I’m rather new to your channel. Did you and Roger meet while thrifting? Depending on how badly the magnolia painting is damaged, don’t discount repairing it with some matching markers if it’s for you. One of my favorite paintings in my home is a beautiful covered bridge scene. There were a few small places where the paint was gone. A really cheap price and the subject matter made me take a chance. I matched the colors with some markers and no one has ever noticed my repairs! I enjoy it every day.

Hi Karen, I love your channel. I got to the part in video when you were talking about old yearbooks. I wanted to share the coolest story. I was shopping at an outdoor flea market one time and came across an old 1920s yearbook that I thought might have been the city where my mother grew up When I got it home, I put it in a box and stored it away in my garage having forgotten about it for 10 years, only a couple years ago I was cleaning out my garage and open the box and saw that old yearbook I had bought and began something through it. I came to realize that some of the signatures in the book seemed familiar to me so I showed it to my mother , and to our surprise, we found out that it belonged to my great grandmother who was a room mother for my grandmother‘s high school class. My mom got out her mother‘s old yearbook, and we compared the two and sure enough I found my great grandmothers yearbook at an outdoor flea market in a state far removed from where she lived! such a fun surprise!

You make the shopping so interesting. I went to the Goodwill on Route 30 in Lancaster on Saturday & met the nicest ladies. One of them met you & we talked about how much we liked you. I had not been there for over a yr & was amazed how crowded it was & how disorganized. I am more likely to shop/thrift at the Goodwill in Ephrata & the Reuzit shops in Ephrata & New Holland, also Gamboree in Manheim. However I did find a lovely clear glass creamer that matched the sugar I had at home; I found it thrifting previously but obviously not in Lancaster. I paid $2.99 total for the set. I was also shocked at the long, long ck out line but enjoyed talking to my new friend Tracy.

Just when I thought I had seen everything you have in your cart ,then I see the black kitchen spice cabinet with drawers and the metal candlemold. I didnt see those listed in your ebay store, did you put them in your booth. I would have had so much fun in that store today. You picked up alot of items that I collect. So much fun

I so enjoy and learn alot from your videos. I would love to go shopping with you. Regarding the spoon from Guatemala, I would assume a family brought some items over as they emigrated to America. I have many friends from South America. Too bad about that beauitiful painting at the beginning of your video. It reminded me of my friend's moving song (Meet Me Under the Magnolia tree).

Sometimes those yearbooks have famous people in them so it's worth taking a look. I had a suggestion about wearing your reading glasses on one of those holders that go around your neck? There are some beautiful ones. That way you won't miss an important signature or manufacturer. Just a thought. You found some fantastic stuff today. Thanks and I hope Roger likes those cars!

Big open basket is a cut flower harvesting basket... so when you cut flowers from your cutting garden that's how you carry them inside... Frontgate items are crazy expensive and they have a catalog. Napkin holder is a great guess. Remember 222 Fifth is a quality brand. Those mugs you passed over go for $17.00 EACH.

Ebay is where I got the pre-owned comp. Put 222 5th peacock cup in search and it's the 6th pic down, it's the chubby cup just like those you passed up... $16.99 for one. I've bought 5 of these large mugs, so I'm very familiar with their value. @@lavenderclothesline

Love the mini spice rack. I have a little tip, if you bought the 2 sea shells, can clean with Zep Orange cleaner degreaser as well from Home Depot. It works wonders for me that i use on most anything. Can spray & let sit on items & can either wash off or use a small brush to clean. Love your videos. 😊
