Shen RC Hi buddy, Yeah those videos are done, but I didn’t run the stock motor. The GT Tuned is a motor I really don’t like unfortunately 😬 So I went 4370kv on 2s, the thing was awesome it handled way better than I thought it would. Lol 😂 I also do a Speed run with it on 3s, just short of 50mph 🚗💨💨
small question, would you recommend one to build for someone looking for a fun build and bash? (there is no tracks near me so i can only really bash) i love tamiya and i may or may not have been on a rerelease binge

krs 7 Thanks buddy 😊 I have to be honest it’s not a motor I rate at all! I’ve ran a couple of them now and there underwhelming 😞 I’ve just finished playing with the 23t Super Stock RZ Motor, it’s way better than the GT Tuned in my opinion 👊🏻

Nice comparison, shame you couldn't compare them side by side, but I assume you sold the origional to keep your channel going. Buying cars and hanging on to them would get very expensive. 😁
Did they ever extend the arms like on the Egress? If you could only recommend the re re egress or avante based on performance n durability which would you recommend
ZERO'S HOBBIES The Egress wins hands down on performance my friend, it’s a much more planted car. However the Avante will always be my favourite all time Buggy 😍👊🏻
For me the biggest disappointment on the re-re was the change to "Diablo Engineering." "Spacetech Engineering" was a standout decal, invoking that 1980s high tech, computer, video game, space shuttle, and MTV plastic culture. I was so annoyed with the change that I got a set of repo decals from MCI, lol.
WOW.... I never owned one of the re-released units... is that what was known as the "2001"? from what you showed here, all the issues that the 1st edition had, seems rectified.. mostly the CVJ shafts change over from the dog-bone/U-Joints half shaft's and those U-joint series, although tough, they would pulse and once changed over to CVJ type, like what is on this unit, on all 4 corners, the breaking of traction in turns was 99% gone, and of course, the front/rear/center ball diff's... See what you did, Now I want one of these now... that is another thing, I have never run one of these using the brushless configuration and LiPo type new stuff from today tech... and am thinking, I am gonna have to dig in the closet and assemble one of the unit and see all of what I have been missing with the (NEXT LEVEL POWER) from brushless stuff....

They have to change it up so you can distinguish between the remakes so that the collector's don't go crazy because the price and value of the originals don't lose value or prestige.
noticed that this is available for pre-order- Tamiya might have channelled their resourses and personnel to get this out, a lot of their other production of the re-re line suffering
I had the original 88 avanti and it never came with the motor it had a blister in the packaging but no motor! I fitted a technigold as you do but it definitely wasn’t in the Mk 1 kit

TAMIYA Legends it was the first one in the country as far as I was told it was bought in from a toy fair... it also had the original hollow cast up right that broke with out even hitting anything
TAMIYA Legends I also had the pleasure of having one of the very first re-release avante’s sounds good but it wasn’t... basically I paid too much, it didn’t come with a speed controller, and the body shell didn’t have any film over the outside (so typical) .... btw on my original one all the diff gears were brass and wore out in no time i was pleased to see steel upgrades in the re-release
TAMIYA Legends The avante had a few improvements. Carbon chassis, front uprights, driveshafts, shock designs and the rears shock mounts (front springs are a bit too stiff) originals were too soft.... The new Egress is looking very special many upgrade and the ball diffs have also been completely redesigned... wish they used the modern fibre reinforced nylon plastics for the plastic bits or offer them as an upgrade

I think the Avante is only car that was actually improved as a re-re! Kyosho improves all there re-re’s, but Tamiya 😬😬😬
