I can't find an outcome from last year's plagiarism scandal. But I don't like that Jake Parker remains silent on the matter, as if nothing happened. Plus the fact that his book still hasn't been published suggests that the allegations were (partly) true. So I'm still not going to support him or his trademark.
Every time i see the word inktober, i am reminded, didn’t the creator like steal a buncha art n claim it was his own via inktober or something like that?

Just picked up the watercolor pans with the watercolor book in Ivory. I have to say I am very pleased with how nicely the colors work blending with such nice tones. Thank you for posting about these I think it was just the thing I needed to try to get me back into the swing of drawing again. :) Best wishes!
The cats are sooooo cute!
If you mix the burnt sienna color with ultramarine you will get a paynes grey color

I normally really enjoy watching you videos, but after learning that Jake Parker was an art thief who blatantly plagiarized Alphonse Dunn’s pen and ink tutorial books I want nothing to do with him or his Inktober challenge. I get that this was probably a great opportunity for you to work with a company you respect, but it’s still important to have morals and stick up for your fellow artists.
I thought inktober was cancelled because of that scandal with the book they released. 😅

Wasn't there a big old drama around the creator of Inktober a couple years ago, so Inktober is seen as bad by many in the art community now? Or something??? Has the Inktober company disconnected from the original creator (like KVD did from Kat von D) and so it is OK again? Or is that issue no longer an issue, whatever it was (I am not an artist so I don't know!)? Sorry for the bother - I am a bit confused and lost here.
Katt mentioned near the beginning of the video that Jake Parker is one of the 6 artists who created designs for the postcards, so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say... no, the company isn't disconnected from the original creator. Which kinda makes sense, why would he let go of this when he's making bank on it. Sucks though :/
@@maryl.5984 I looked into it and found out that Jake Parker plagarised another artist's work and that is why he was boycotted by many artists. And I confirmed that Inktober is still his. So, I stopped watching this video after the first few seconds.
