I just learned about latasha this evening. I can not believe what happened in this case. The life lost needlessly and the judges actions thereafter. Im glad this young lady hasn't simply been forgotten. RIP Latasha.

She fought back punching the store owner knocking her down, she gave the orange juice back and proceeded to walk out and it was at that point she was shot in the back of the head. If someone grabs at you, you will react. Latasha had no history or violence, stealing and was a honor student. The jury found the store owner guilty with the evidence. Was it stupid to put the drink in her backpack instead of the counter to get her money, YES. She was also a teenager and probably not thinking of that kind of outcome since she wasn’t stealing.
