Sweetwater hooked up with The War on Drugs on the road and got an all-access tour of the band’s three keyboard rigs! Check out more rig tours here 👉 ruclips.net/p/PLlczpwSXEOyYmDKuXqhFP9TjXg5Dgaw2u
The members of The War on Drugs are true professionals in the prime of their careers. Nobody is stung out, or on some b.s. ego trip or half assing anything. You can really see clearly why they are IMO the greatest band of our generation.
Eliza joining the touring band has really broadened their sound... a great addition. TWOD really are a great American rock band (so few musical peers at their level of the game)
Awesome! Thanks to Sweetwater and The War On Drugs for making this happen. I could've watched this if each member took twice as much time talking and showing gear, patches etc.
Excellent ideia and tour! Amazing band and a floating , dreamy sound. Actually was very curious about the kayboard rigs. Lovely work from you guys. 5 star!!
man, TWOD is in my top 3 all-time favorite bands. I wish this was an hour long, getting into the nitty gritty of routing, cables, ALL pedals, good camera angles or at least photos like Primer Guitar does when they don't have a good angle. 20 mins can go on Robbie alone. Nonetheless, thank you!
I’m more interested in how they pack all this up and how they are running audio and midi around the stage, LOL. I wonder what setup time is for all of this? I just have 3 synths, a drum machine, an MPC, electronic conversion drum kit, two midi synced vocal pedal rigs, and a computer running Ableton and it’s annoying trying to get it mobile and ready for quick set up for all stage sizes. Granted it’ll just be myself and my band mate doing setup but still!
What an amazing band and what a talented, articulate group of people. I would have liked to see Jon’s sax processing but that’s just nitpicking - this is one awesome video.
Does anybody have any sources for where you can get those black keyboard shells they are using? I imagine these ones are custom, but are there stock ones sold anywhere?
The Novation Impulse doesn't actually produce the vocal sound. It's sending midi to the TC-Helicon Voice Live 3. Another smaller alternative is the TC-Helicon Perform-VK but it doesn't have the flangers and the phasers. Just harmony, reverb and delay.

What a great companion to Premier Guitar’s rig rundown with Adam and Dave

True facts
If Granduciel had any charisma or crowd interaction skills, they would be huge!
seems like they added her to be "equal" their music was fine without her.
This was a great idea, please do more of these.....
I LOVE the Keys and Drumms rundowns! Keep it up guys! I’m a guitar player and i like to see all of them. Thanks Sweetwater. Band is awesome by the way
Excellent keyboard rig tour. I love it!!!
Only one thing is missing from this dude’s keyboard rig…a keytar🎹🎸🤟 Truly outrageous gear!🤩
Hummm Hummm....😃😃😃😃
OMFG i hope their roadies are well paid. I can't imagine the nightmare of taking all that on tour....
Surrounded by paradise and standing at the center of time. Yes... yes I would!

Like I didn't love this band enough :')
The next rig tour is for the band: Ending The War on Drugs
Where four of the six band members are on different drum sets.
Blue Man Group is ALL drums!!!
These guys are fucking awesome. Every. Single. Thing. They. Do.
Nice to see.
I wonder how Robbies back feels after a few months of touring.
Exactly what I was thinking...
Sequential seems to be such a constant in all these live rigs. I guess Dave did some nice business while he was still around
They all look super friendly. Nice and talented people. You are muy favourite band.
What an awesome keyboard rig!!
Eliza is great

that’s how u do it! crazy setup
Notice the cord control. Nice and neat. 2:04
It's impressive how super tidy they installed the cables on those things.
What's the name of the wurlitzer pre amp manufacturer? I can't seem to find him online. Thanks for the great insight!
I needed to stop that video multiple times and do some research on one or another piece of gear. Very interesting!

Wow these folks are speaking my language. Thanks for the vid, Sweetwater!

Ah, the Crumar D9U no doubt!
The war of keyboards… insane…
So good!
Great video! WAY above my pay grade...
They have more keyboards than Kraftwerk.
They have more keyboards than Guitar Centre
It would be great if the cameraman would put the camera on the gear they're talking about.
Goodness gracious! Very impressive!
And I think my 2 keyboard live rig is unwieldy
Damn that Wurlitzer sounds good
Yeah
🔥🔥🔥🔥

Imagine a TWOD collab with The Flaming Lips produced by Eno & Lanois 🤯🤯 c’mon make it happen
Cool!
The Wurlitzer is probably the most expensive keyboard there
Jon didn't get a coat?
@Sweetwater. What type of keyboard is that she's vocalizing on at the 17:18 mark...I would love to have one of those!!!!
Novation Impulse 25

@@troublesomecorsair Thanks
They should change their band name to 'War on Guitars'.
@ghost mall That's the worst guess i've heard.
Holy shit, 107 channels……
Still needs more cowbell
11:01 STOP EVERYTHING!! Let me see this guys playing I need to know how do they sound!! Then I come back!!😐😐
What? 4 dudes playing modulated string pads?
Too much info for me 😵💫
