    I am a Weeble owner. I've had challenges with occasional jitters which has been frustrating. You think you have a perfect shot, only to find out later there has been a sudden motor movement. I have spent a lot of time working with settings, but I think it's the nature of the gimbal. Also, it's important to point out some quality concerns. Straight out of the box I had a problem with the plate tightening screws. Zhyun was kind enough to send a replacement part from China. Also, it would no longer start up after about 4 weeks of use and needed to be sent in for repair. The insured shipping (at my cost) is expensive. It feels cheaply built, and given early problems I wonder how long it will last. If I had to do it over I would definitely buy something more rugged and time tested. I would only recommend to someone who absolutely needs the small size and has some money to burn for eventual repairs.

    @TrailFeatures 6 лет назад +14

    Yup, still want. This will be perfect for my X-T3.
    As a MTB RUclipsr, I need gear that can rattle around in my pack and still work. After having the IBIS in my GH5 fail I switched to the X-T3. Better low-light and less moving parts in a smaller (cheaper) package. Having such a small prosumer gimbal that I can lock the arms and slip in my pack would be absolutely game changing.

    • @extremekidproductions7859
      @extremekidproductions7859 6 лет назад +1

      Im thinking the same thing. Ronin S is way too heavy for MTB stuff, great for commercial stuff though. Im hanging out for the x-h3 for the ibis, how are you finding run(ride) and gun with the x-t3? Fuji seems to be great for us outdoor videographers.

    • @TrailFeatures
      @TrailFeatures 6 лет назад +1

      @@extremekidproductions7859 I've only spent a few weeks with it but overall like it. For the price and size, it's an amazing camera with a few issues.
      The AF is very accurate and has been a joy to work with over the AF on the GH5. Only complaint is... it's too fast for video, I would like them to have smoother racking.
      The 30min record limit should be going away soon (EU tax law going away) and the is a strong rumor that they will be updating the file system to get rid of the 4GB file limit. So that'll take care of my issue with it splitting up files.
      The battery life is definitely shorter compared to other cameras, but the charging over USB-C does mean that you can keep it topped off in your pack while moving. They're also USB battery packs that are certified to power the camera even while it's recording.
      Fuji has been a photography forward company, so a lot of their glass does not have OIS. This is fine if youre shooting stills with fast primes and can up the shutter speed, but for cinematography it's a massive annoyance. I routinely use OIS on a tripod when filming in windy locations, otherwise you will get a little bit of shaking on longer focal lengths.
      Speaking of shake, my last issue is that the OIS only really seems to take care of larger movements, it's not very good at getting the smaller shakes. I find that more annoying than big movements. The GH5S had amazing OIS. As long as you were holding the camera steady, you could have the GH5 (IBIS) side by side and not be able to tell which is which until you started walking.
      Overall? A fantastic backup camera, or for those that want the lightest possible package without giving up 4K60.

    I use anamorphic lenses on my Zhiyun Crane 2 so I have to install counterweights on the bottom at the back of the mounting tray (for the lack of a better term) which has 1/4-20 threads. Definitely looks like a great travel/run and gun type gimbal for smaller setups. Another option for the monitor mount would be leave the tripod on the bottom and install a handle similar to the top handle on a cage that has a 1/4-20 on the top. This would stay attached to the monitor for easy on/off and allow you to use the sling mode if you're into that....just a thought...haven't tried it though.

I don’t need anything but the basic Gimbal and not all the bangs and whistles - just power enough to hold camera, mic and lens. Thanks for all your videos.

    I’ve been thinking which one to get between the crane 3 or weebill. But I think I would go with the weebill because of its size and portability. The crane 3 looks heavy and big. And it doesn’t matter if the weebill can barely balance / fit the 16-35 or 24-70gm, I don’t think I’ll make videos with those lenses anyway. I mostly use prime lenses.

    Is this worth it over the older Crane 2? I’m actually about to buy one of these and the Crane 2 is cheaper at the moment

    So, you’re saying with heavier lens that the Weebill wobbles?

    Here's something I've been wondering about. I usually rock a monopod on my Crane v2, and for low shots, I can just flip it around and film VERY low to the ground, hold the gimbal like a broom with my monopod extended. That won't be possible with the Weebill since the top handle is crooked? Is there no way to get low shots without hunching like quasimodo?

    Hi Jason, very informative video. Can you please help test A7iii + tamron 28-75 + weebill. It’s gonna be my first gimbal and i dont want to regret about it. I can’t find anywhere else on RUclips for that setup too. Thanks a lot.

    Hey Jason! Thanks for the VERY informative videos. I've made the informed decision to get the Weebill Lab and I just recieved it! I can't wait to get things started with my a6500. I did have two questions for you. 1.) I've got the SmallRIg cage and found that the mounting screw isn't flush with the mount and the cage which makes for a rather insecure "loose" fit. Wondering If you had any insight or hacks to maybe fix this. Also, 2.) I'm trying to download the User Manua from the Zhiyun sitel, only the Chinese version is available. Wondering if you had an English version PDF laying around . (since you're an ambassador, maybe you can post it here.) Looking forward to more tips and advice. Keep up the awesome work!

    Thanks for the great content. Really enjoy your channel!! I just purchased an a7iii with the Tamaron 28-75. Was thinking of getting the Weebill as my first Gimbal but am concerned that I'll run into issues in the future. In your opinion will the Weebill be ok with that setup or is a Crane Plus or Crane 2 a better option. I'd like something small and somewhat portable. Thanks in advance for any thoughts about this!

      Mike Muller crane 2 is much better and hold heavy weight, Crane plus almost the same issue as Weebill Lab

      @@aboolife6264 Thanks for the info! I ended up with a Feiyu-Tech AK2000. We'll see how that works out.

    Great video, Jason. I´m really considering the Weebil Lab. I plan to use it with a Canon 77d and a 10-18mm most of the time. That doesn´t even amount to 1kg. Think it´ll work well, even not being a mirrorless? Thanks, bro.

    If you have the Sony a6500 and the 18-105 mm lens, Would you recommend the Weebill or the Crane 3

    dang, I pre-ordered the weebill lab and only have the a7iii & 24-70 gm. I only thought about the payload and didn't think about the spacing at all.

    Hi Jason. Do you have a rough idea when the Crane 3 is being released? I've been in the market for a gimbal and was literally just about to buy a Crane 2 until I saw your last video about the announcement lol. And also, are there any issues using battery grip with the Crane 3 out of the box? Also how comfortable are both of these when going for an overhead shot?

    What's unfortunate to see is the shaky video. Does anybody think using the smaller Sony crop sensors will avoid this? I sure hope so because now I'm holding off on pre-order until someone uploads a video showing if there's a difference

    Well, thanks to this review it looks like the Crane 3 with the FF is the one I'm going to order. Im really, really surprised that pretty much none of the Wide Angle 16-35mm lenses (Sony or Canon??) will work on the Weebill Lab. Seems a very strange design flaw from Zheyun. Thanks Jason!
