I am wondering I should buy it or not, cause I saw some video comments from youtube said it is the worst in terms of footage stability and its payload is not what ZHIYUN said actually. but also, there are some good words of it. Totally Confused.
Wonderful overview of this gimbal - as someone potentially interested, your video really told me everything I needed to know. Packed with info, never uninteresting! Nice one :)
Thanks
Brutala su ti videi! :) veseli me vidjeti nekoga iz HR sa ovako dobrim sadrzajem! Imas pretplatu ;)
Eto..baš mi je drago to čuti. Hvala na supportu i pretplati😉
THANK YOU for testing the SAMYANG 35mm F1.4 in this video, felt like I hit the jackpot after searching for days for that specific setup, config & review
Jackpot it is =)
Best tutorial for the gimbal settings yet. Simple and straightforward.
Hi Mauro, excellent review! One thing I’d add I wish I knew before buying: the wheel works ONLY with the servo. As a previous Crane Plus owner, I had the ability to electronically zoom my 18-105 Sony lens. I wish Zhyiun kept this possibility on the webill, but after asking support they said no.
Thanks a lot. Who knows..maybe with an future update*?
About the firmware update for live transmition to your phone: I figured this out after having the same issue. Apparently the firmware update doesn't work on android (I have a Samsung S9+). I had to use my iPad and it did the update just fine. Now I can watch the feed on either the iPad or my Samsung after doing the firmware update
Made the firmware update on an Iphone XS Max and there all worked fine. On my OnePlus6 i am still stuggling wiht the live feed image transmission
I finally watched this. You're the man Mauro. Nice job.
Thanks =)
10 sec in and I love the music, thanks so much for making this video, looks like a lot of work and we appreciate you. have fun shooting and keep us the great videos
Thanks a lot for the support!
new sub, thanks again fro sharing @@MAUROSFILMS
Subscribed just for the opening sequence and your taste in music. Excellent stuff!!
Thanks a lot for the support😉
Grazie & thanx alot Mauro, wonderful and helpful as always :-). Got me a Weebill Lab recently and your review was the best overall help for me to fix some early pains ;-). After watching your video, I will keep the gimble and can´t wait to shot some footage. Ciao and greetings from Munich, Germany, Bernhard
Thanks for the support Glad that i have been helpful
True 25 fps Weebill Lab footage because my bokeh lights are flickering even more in 24 fps! I had to edit the whole sequence in 25 FPS because you know..PAL in Europe...😂😂😂 My wife is now taking the lights away from me to get them on our Christmas tree😅😥😥😏😜🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
good review !! what do you think is the best gimbal dji ronin S or the zhiyun wheebil lab ? "i think" the wheebil lab is a little bumpy . . .
I would wait for the Crane 3
@@MAUROSFILMS you think it will have to 360 mode? Thats what i need
@@TheFlyingDutchMan8K Can you define 360 mode?

I’ve bought the Weebill lab for my Sony A7 III. Now I’m using Sony 16-35 mm f4 but I’m worry because in the future I would like to use other lens. I read the gimbal don’t support some lens. What do you think? I would need a special lens for video for filming in low light conditions (24 mm 1.4f it is good?) is this gimbal the best option for the Sony A7 III? Thank you 🙏 😊
You will be fine with the GM 24mm F1.4. It's lighter than the 16-35 F4. For lightweight to middle size weight the Weebil excellent

i love u man... "you can film 120 frames per second with a banana, and it will lool... good..."... made my day! :)
Planning a true real banana review inside one of my videos😂😂😂 Called Bananas for beginners and how to nail that 120 fps footage to look stable😂😂😂😂
@@MAUROSFILMS i own a ronin s that i use for weddings with the GH5 and SB 18-35... but that combo is almost unbearably heavy. Also the stupid focus nob placement on the ronin s basically means, i cant use the focusing mid shot... its so annoying.. and im a rather strong young man, but its just not fun... Of course, my target is to shoot 55mm 1.8 on a gimbal with crispy autofocus... in 4k60p 10bit man... because thats how i want to roll... so im looking into changing the lens anyway, bec, sigma 18-35 is so crazy heavy...
good , Thanks
Are you able to use a mic with the a7iii + 16-35 F4 setup? Will it cause too top heavy and the mic to hit the motor?
It works the best with the rode Video Micro without the wind muff.... But you will not be able to go in underslung mode coz the mic...
Thanks for very useful review. Could you please double check the maximum size of smartphone that can be attached on holder? Thank you.
You are welcome. Like i mentioned in the video: 6.5 inch tall smartphones😉
I just bought the Sony A7 III and I still need to buy a Gimbal. Would be very nice if you make a review showing each Gimbal is best Roni S or this one.
I liked the size and functions plus that stick you can change position to hold in a lower position. And also it doesn’t look to heavy.
It should pretty much last about 8-10 hours depending on the weight you put on ;-)
For which gimbal did you decide?
Impressively smooth footage! What a shame it can’t handle bigger lenses which basically limits the use to native Sony Glas . Great review!
Thanks a lot mate =)
Do you think that i can use this gimbal for aSony Alpha 7 iii with a Sigma 24mm f1.4 Art Lense or would that be too heavy?
Hi Mauro, firstly and excellent review - yours always are! I'm considering the Weebill for my *travel and history vlogs* instead of my Crane 2. (I'm mounting Canon 80d and 11/24mm OR 24/105 L lens) Do you think it'll be ok? Also, the Crane had a great accessory screw on the top part of the side motor. That's where I attach my Rode mic. Anything like that on the Weebill? Again thanks for such a considered review...the best I've seen so far on the Weebill...Subbed!
Thanks a lot for the so much appreciated support. The Canon 80D and the 11/24 or the 24-105 would work Ok for sure. You could get the trans mount accessorie to mount your Rode microphone without problems..you could mount it on the part where the phone holder goes..😉
@@MAUROSFILMS Thanks for your reply Mauro...I'll check it out!
Dear Mauro, do you think is it compatible with Fujifilm X-T3 ? if not, which gimbal can you recommend for it? Many thanks in advance!
Which of your Luts did you use in that Video? Colors Look awesome
It's actually a mixture of a base grading LUT and a manual color correction ;-)
compare to ronin SC, is it worth it to pay more for a SC?
Thanks for the review but i have to disagree on this being the best travel gimbal. Mine broke after my trip to krabi. Think either sand went into it or one of the lock switches got turned on whilst the gimbal was switched on. Now it just shuts down few seconds after switching it on with the sign "upgrade" followed by a tick symbol. My original first zhiyun crane is still going strong and i have put it through far more challenging environments.
Oh..sorry to hear that...😥
Eccolo !! .... gran video ... ho deciso che questo e’ il mio prossimo gimbal !!
Benissimo! Fa un salto a Fiume per fare un test da vicino😜

Hi Mauro, great review of the Weebill. Wondering what you think of using an external monitor w the Weebill and Sony cameras? Going further, I like multi-taskers. Would it be possible to use a Crystal Sky Monitor with a Sony A7RIII getting more than just drone use from the CS. Thanks, enjoying the channel.
How did you get this smooth cinematic motion in just shooting 25 fps at 0 - 40 sec.! Thanks
Combine music with sound/motion effects and there you go😉
What was the weight of your gear at the end, you mention that is was not recommended but you did not mention the weight? Good review, thank you.
Don't put more than 1.5 kg on it...
@@MAUROSFILMS Thank you Mauro
it is a shame that when the iso control cable is connected the focus is lost to the eye on the sony a7c
My guess is follow mode doesn’t work in low angle mode? Or has Zhiyun updated the gimbal firmware to allow this mode to be “locked on” so you don’t need to keep pressing the button?
Mauro, by any chance did you try the gimbal with the Sony FE 24-105 G OOS lens ? im curious to know if it works with it ? thanks!
I didn't try with the 24-105mm. The manual shows that it's supported with one of the Sony a7 variants...
It’s work perfectly i have the same setup
just had problems with firmware , it was not downloading to the gimbal from the phone app.
Hi Mauro ! Please, can we use the Weebill lab with A7iii+ SAMYANG 35 1.4 ???
Hey Mauro thanks a lot, especially for 25p. I can't see any sense when people reviews gimbal or IBIS and shooting on high framerates.
You are welcome
Great review, enjoyed that you tested it with different lenses. How do you feel this would work with the a7sii and Sony g master 24-70 2.8 ??? ( I would think not so good considering that the 24-70 is much heavier than the 16-35)
I think that the 24-70 2.8 would be a little too heavy for this setup..i would rather get the Crane 3 to get a similar designed gimbal😉
Thanks for the great review Mauro.
Another question: Is it possible to mount an external monitor, such as the Atomos Ninja V, on the gimbal?
Yes it's possible.. normal 1/4 screw mount at the side.
Will you be switching from the ronin s?
I might gonna keep both 😀😀
MAURO'S FILMS hahahaha i wish I could get Zhyun sample for review hehehe until that happens I’m saving for my Gm 16-35mm hehehe
@@JibaroTech I think that the Gm 16-35mm Would be a little too heavy for the Weebill..

THIS IS THE BEST GIMBAL EVER
love your reviews... is there a way to playback on the camera while it is still connected to the weebill? i always have to pull out the cable to playback on the camera. please help. thanx

hey mauro i really enjoy watching your videos. 1 Ques - can i use a canon g7x mark ii with this gimbal ?
Yes..you should be able to use it
Does the sony lose face tracking when connected to the app the way it does when you connect it to the play memories app?
Thanks for the great video. I saw you have recently tested Moza Air 2. which one will you prefer? Moza Air 2 or Weebill lab over your day 2 day usage
How much is your setup on the weight side?
@@MAUROSFILMS Hi Mauro's I currently using FE 55mm F1.8 and thinking to get a tamron 28-75mm and not sure if weebill can suppose both of these
Hi mauro! Same problem here! Can't decide if the weebill or moza air 2. I have an a7sii + 16-35 f/4. Have you tested the weebill lab yet after the update?
Can it support to tamron 28-75 2.8 rxd
Did you ever try out the time lapse functionality with the a73 using this gimbal?
Nope
Great video Mauro, thanks! One question regarding the Zeiss 55mm lens. Do you know if I could combine that lens with my Panasonic GH5? Thanks for your answer!
HEy mate..you could combine it only with an adapter foe MFT to E-mount systems but i would highly reccomend on getting a fast MFT prime in the first time like the Olyimpus Pro versions 1.2 or Lumix 1.2 Nocticron
Thanks a lot 👌🏻😉
I just bought the DJI Ronin S.. 😄 Love it 😍✌️
Hi mauro, the vortex mode doesnt work on my weebill. I changed the power of the motor power but from low to high it feels no difference. Could there be an issue?
Great review Mauro as usual. Could you please make a review on the crane 3?
Thanks a lot. I sohuld get it when the actual final release goes out
It is written in weebill specification that it is possible to zoom sony 18-105 lens without mechanical follow focus, just like on Crane Plus with joystick, does anyone know how to do this? Who succeeded?
If they stated that is possible i would trust the official source. I managed to balance even the heavier Samyang with a complete follow focus on it. So i think no problems with the 18-105 lens
As far as we tested it, zoom with 18-105 without servo is not possible, because zoom is controled via different sony profile, not the PC Remote profile - we discuss it with Zhiyun without any luck. If anyone has different info or results, please share it with us. Thanks 😉
@@MobilniReziser Thank you for information!
Great one!!! Mauro - This Weebill vs Moza Air 1/2?! I think the follow mode hustle is quite an issue if you're doing the laid down shooting and u want to do follow mode and u have to press the button to access it.

Thanks Mauro - do you have any thoughts on the Weebill vs FeiyuTech AK2000? Which do you think is more stable? I like the AK2000 side control wheel for panning... but love the Weebill flexibility with removable stand for low shots...
Hey... i was actually expecting a FeiyuTech AK2000 for a review but it never come. I was going to test all the feature. now it's only guessing. The Weebill have the great removable handle that can be a deal breaker for that low angle shots...
I just bought the ak2000 and can say it's a great gimbal at a superb price. You can't go wrong with either but if you want to save some money, definitely go with the ak2000

Bel video!

How heavy is this gimbal? Lighter than Ronin-S?
Almost double lighter than the Ronin
@@MAUROSFILMS - Are you serious?! If this is true, I am going to buy the Weebill tomorrow.. ;-)

would this work with A7R3 and 16-35 GM? Thanks.

@@MAUROSFILMS Hey Mauro. Great video. I have this gimbal and when I use the Sony control cable on my A7III in PC remote mode the steady shot on the camera is disabled. Is there anyway that I can use this gimbal + cable with steady shot on? Thanks
I am also experiencing the same issue when having the cable connected. The steady shots shows as off on the Manual recording film mode. I will try to figure out if this is due to the PC Connection function
@@MAUROSFILMS Thank you Mauro. Now I'm not sure if you are aware but with the Zhiyun Crane 2 there was a hack which lets you use the Sony A7III to control the settings also. You had to put the Sony in USB Mass Storage Mode instead of PC remote. I'm not entirely sure but I think steadyshot was usable in this setting.
Thanks for the insight. I will try to test it out 😉
I saw on your video you're using firmware version 1.83. In January they issued a 1.85 update. Says better stability with the motors and button lock so your hand doesn't accidentally hit buttons during holding.

And it still doesn't charge via USB right?
From my Multi USB connection i get a charge and after about 2 hours of usage like this my Sony A7 IIIdrained 15% battery. So the Weebill was providing power to the Sony😉

Great colour grading, how do :0 ?
We were shooting on actually 3 different cameras various shots GH5 in V-LOG, Canon 1DX Mark 2 in some kind of Cinestyle, Lumix G85 in Cinelike-D and Sony A7 III in Slog. The studio shots are all graded manually, the Outside shots are graded half with the free Humble Lut (Color Grading Central) and half manually. I was running out of time and matching all the footage took me an great amount of time..so i went for a different approach and put a starting lut on the outside shots.😉

@@Murphy252000 Well..i made a couple of colorgrading tutorials some time ago on my channel. I understand that in the beginning can be hard to understand all the various shooting color modes...
I absolutely regret that I bought the ronins for a7iii :(
It depends on what lenses you use it😉
@@MAUROSFILMS hmm, in terms of the payload ?
Hi, I have a little technical question about my sony a7iii case: every time I want to use it on my gimbal (currently zhiyun webill lab) or even on a tripod, the image (and whatever the resolution chosen 4k-fHd) the image is not clear or it trembles even on a tripod it makes a weird effect, the image is not fluid ... so I thought to disable my internal steadyshot because I I thought it was because of this that the internal steadyshot was trying to recover the movement pan or tilt or dolly side effect to eliminate the vibrations ... well not even with all my plans sucks ..
What is the solution 😞 So what to do to have a picture in mouvement without this effect of micro jerky...
Thanks for your videos and tips
Hey mate. I never encountered this kind of a problem. Which lens do you use on it? Does it have image stabilisation on it? Did you try with a different one?
MAURO'S FILMS
I’ve the tamron 28-75 and also sony G 12-24
I bought one, used it once and sent it back. The axis locks keep locking themselves when it's in use. It's not what you could call a developed product. They didn't bother with R&D. They just rush the thing to market, and hope for the best. Very, very rarely you'll find a Chinese product that works as it's supposed to. What they want you to believe and the reality are two very different things. If I'm buying Chinese, I always make sure I buy from Amazon so there's no hassle sending it back. Which is what happens nine times out of ten with anything Chinese. Before this I had a DJI Ronin. Never got to use it. Straight out of the box, it never worked. Couldn't even assemble it, because it had a quality control issue. I would never fly in a Chinese made aircraft. No, I'm not kidding.
You are copy pasting the same text on each and every review of that gimbal. Kind of making this untrusted comment.
@@olegvorkunov5400 Oh, well done. I didn't think it would get that far. I was expecting it to be deleted almost immediately, and I wanted people to see it. Quite honestly, I didn't think much of the Weebill at all. I didn't buy it to just send it back. I was hoping to use it for it's intended purpose. I noticed one of the other posters there said it looked wobbly or shakey. It is. Very much so. It's not a properly developed product, yet. It still needs more work. It's like buying a prototype that's not quite right yet. Well that was my experience anyway. Maybe other people will get on better than I did.
@@ChrisCarson Just got my Weebill. It is the best out of 3 I tested. I tested G6 PLUS, AK2000. Weebill not shaky if balanced properly and it was the easiest balance out of these 3 gimbals.
@@olegvorkunov5400 Good news. Well done. Let's hope it works out for you, better than it did for me. I'd never heard of the AK2000 and on checking it out, looks like the one I might try next. Let us know how you get on with the Weebill. We anxiously await your findings.
@@ChrisCarson Some bad things I found with Weebill: 1. Software sucks. Cannot connect from the first try. After multiple attempts to connect it did eventually, but usability of it is poor. I think it applies to any of their brand. I will end up using without software. 2. Harder to pack because of the wide depth and width. Depth - is the camera mounting plate is long. Width - is this extra 90 degrees handle. Does not fit in any of my bags. Will not fit in standard tripod pockets and straps because of the same reason. I would have to remove the plate, which will require to re-balance. 3. Battery cover is plastic and I am afraid at some point it will break.
25FPS is enough this fast orbit motion? Don't you have rolling shutter effect?
I used it to make the sense of the sabilization right?😉
Wow how much?

Hi Mauro , I currently own Sony A7riii with the lens FE 24-105mm would Weebil lab hold it ok ? what about the features such as timelapses? I am actually looking to take a video instead of set of pictures , does Weebil lab has option of Motion set up , where I can set point and the gymbal will track these spots vithout taking pictures? Much like Ronin S ,which is too heavy for me ,so I would like to buy Weebil instead ,thanks in advance Mauro
The 24-105mm is some 150 grams heavier than my 16-35mm F4 and if you plan to attach some ND filters and Focus Motor it could be too heavy for the setup. Also the actual size of the Lens matters..when zoomed in or out could make the balance a little harder and even hit the motors when using it in underslung or vertigo mode. You can set up all the functions just like the Ronin-S, with timelapse, moving timelapses and even have a tracking feature.
HI Mauro , thank you for your reply I do plan to use the ND filter no Focus motor , but I might extend the Lens for zooming a bit while I am shooting, I would like to have this lens on with the Sun rear cap on , would this be a problem? As for the time lapses and motion lapses does that work without taking pictures? I only want to speed up video in post instead , does the Weebil provide such option? It is really important feature .Also one additional question , how much the Weebil weight ,compared to DJI Ronin S is lighter I hope.
The Weebill is 970 grams and the Ronin-S is almost 2 KG. So the Ronin-S is almost twice the weight. A i am having problems with my app on Android i will have to come back with the answers to actually understand if ther is a programmable video "timelapse" gimmic to spped up things in post.
The buttons are not designed properly, they are easy to touch by mistake when use the gimbal, and the Price is not competitive.
So the reviews on B&H are pathetic about Weebill lab, everyone was complaining about motors not being strong and 3KG payload isn’t true practically.
“Madonn”
Running results at 4:57 is awful
Actually for a 55mm running test is quite impressive😉
Who cares about having a live view on your phone. I just need the gimbal to be smooth and versatile.
