Very helpful. What did you find was the best way to get the tack strips out of the corners of the front bows and the one all the way across the rear bow? Giving me some headache as it’s really in there. Thanks!
I used a pocket flat blade screwdriver as a chisel and with a hammer chiseled it out. Then followed with a heavy wire brush. That sounds excessive but didn't have to hit the screwdriver very hard. But I needed that small bit in those tight spaces. Not sure that is the best way, lol, but it was the way I got through it! Thanks for watching! Good luck on your project!
Awesome and nicely detailed videos!!. Same as Shaun below, where can I find this "Convertible Top Bible?" (Sorry to be a RUclips bonehead, but how do I email you?) Thanks!!
I figured it had a good enough factory coat and that light sanding would provide a good surface to adhere to. While the paint did adhere well, there were contaminants that caused some orange peel. Not ideal but not obvious either. Should not have skipped that step though.
@@WhitetailGarage Other than that observation I think that lots of folks can benefit through the journey you are undertaking. I very much appreciate the problem solving process you communicating. Thumbs up. Good Luck
Due to your close up video of your frame, I realized my two brackets in the back were on backwards! Thanks! Now the top frame closes tightly.
Glad it was useful! Thanks for watching!
I think Kentucky mustang has the rear tack strip.
Perfect
