the NPK of organic fertilizer is sort of misleading, because the NPK number is only the immediately available, while most of the NPK in an organic blend is sequestered in compounds that have to be processed by microbes in order to become available. The drawback of using organic nutes is that microgreens grows are so short in duration that there is no time for microbes in the grow medium to unlock the additional nutrients in the applied solutions.

Good afternoon, guys from On the Grow. I see your chapters from the beginning from far away, from Argentina. First of all I congratulate you for the enthusiasm and the love that you put in the entrepreneurship that you have started, I wish you a lot of success. Now the reason why I write to you; the topic of the taste of the plant; so that the plant has flavor the necessary element is the sulfur (S) . I will transcribe from a book that I have a paragraph; "Physiological functions. The most important function of the S is related to its participation in the synthesis of proteins. Sulfur is part of the amino acids cysteine, cystine, thiamine and methionine; also of compounds such as coenzyme A, vitamin B1 and some glycosides, which give plants their characteristic smell and taste. "
Therefore, the primary nutrients, or so-called macro nutrients, are nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK). What you should see is that the fertilizer contains the micro nutrients, including sulfur. Another interesting point is that I would like to suggest that you analyze the pH of the solutions that you put in the plants, to have a measurement parameter, to know if the solution has been exposed to temperature and sunlight, where surely the pH can vary a lot and in some cases for bad. Another advice is that you should also measure the electrical conductivity of the solutions, since you are using solutions that are also used in hydroponics. In hydroponics the electrical conductivity is a very important value. These are tips that I think can help you to improve and shorten production times. I send you a big greeting and I wait for the next video.

You should try a Neem Seed Meal water fertilizer. I use Neem Seed Meal from DownToEarth and I let it sit in water for 2 days before using the solution. Amazing growth and if you mix it with Bio-live then you get a massive boost in bacteria and myco. Best growth i've gotten was off of Bio-Live/Neem Seed Meal mix.

Love tour channel, like someone commented two trays is somewhat more scientific, but you could consider a blind test for the taste part. You gran a bit from the bags and let Mandy comment and judge, and then Mandy grabs some greens an you taste and judge, both not knowing which sample was which. Although it isn't really a scientific experiment it is easy to implement and it would give away bias due to one person's taste.
Again love what you are doing, keep on the good work.

😊Absolutely! Those babies don"t like it too chilly! Hello Ethan Humphrey ! Our space stays between 75-80F degrees in the Summer (Best Germination Temps) and between 67-73F in Winter and our humidity around 50% or under. We also have one large fan that circulates the majority of the air and small computer fans on each shelf of each rack. All fans are running for 24 hours of the day. We do not pump carbon-dioxide in the space and the space only exchanges air when we open the door a few times throughout the day.

It was most informative to hear your 'editorial comments' regarding Ocean Solutions at the beginning of this presentation, CJ. We are resident in Thailand and have twice attempted to reach Ocean Solutions regarding a sizeable trial of their product here, as growing conditions are far more challenging in the sub-tropics because of humidity and temperature extremes. Your posts were what provoked our curiosity and we are somewhat disappointed to learn of their 'questionable' comments regarding certification...and we are disappointed that they seem deficient in their outreach to potential customers who inquire about their product. There web-site is compelling...these revelations are not. Thanks for sharing your experience!
