    If your using the Ocean Solution, then why use the Coconut Coir? You could save money by not using it since it has nothing in it. The roots going through a mesh tray with Ocean solution and water on the bottom is all you should need. Right? Also, what's wrong with an organic Soil that has organic nutrients in it?

    I'm planning on using fish fert. I'm of the belief that plants are always on the hunt for food when they're growing at all stages, I've just noticed you have to go reaaaallly easy and higher on the PK end than the N end, because thing like radish, etc. shoot that true leaf right out with too much nitrogen.

    I really like watching your videos. You have some really good ways of doing things which I now will do instead of the way I was doing such as checking twice a day in the germination stage. I used to lose a lot of seed that stuck to the bottom of the tray and fall off. Can someone tell me how long you do the lights in a 24 hour period for best results. I do about 17 hours on and 7 off now.

I diluted it to 1.5 oz per gallon and I got around an oz. more off of the one that didn't get fertilized. Idk what went wrong. I'll probably end up trying it with a few more varieties at a higher dilution rate

      You could but I don't think it's too important since you're only growing the plants for a short time. Since you're not growing them to maturity, you won't run into any issues with soil ph or lockouts.

    Here is the catch......do you have any idea who your audience is? I am sure that most of the people that watch your videos do not have a microgreen business or sell any of their crop. Time under the lights and 10% crop yields don't mean much to the recreational/hobby grower. All this does is confuse people. The home grower doesn't need this at all....and the business microgreen growers al ready know this info. Keep it simple....nutrients are not needed.

    Interesting... You are saying that growing microgreens in soil or worm castings is "gross"... Also interesting that you seem to be be growing nearly identically to what was our favorite method for a while that we promoted in countless videos. Same goes for your "grow guide"... nearly identical to ours and you aren't disclosing in your description that you are earning a profit from the links you are "sharing". Grow rack looks identical to what we suggest... So what is unique here?

    • @PrincetonMicrogreens
      @PrincetonMicrogreens  3 года назад +9

      First off, it’s an honor to see you here checking out your competition. 😊 We’ve always respected your grow! We try to hit on more of the business perspective talking through our videos, more so than the grow itself.
      We believe it’s “gross” because you don’t wash your microgreens and they basically lay in the medium and go right into your culinary dish.
      I’ve worked with RUclips for a while on other projects, and you only need to disclose if a company is paying you to use their items directly on camera. Spiked links are in just about everyones description video across the platform and they never need to be disclosed. It’s no secret to anyone that it’s how the channel is supported.
      Our grow guide is something I came up with when I first started and made a list of things information that works for us. We have Fiverr do the legwork for us and do the creative process to help come up with a document! I love how it turned out!
      Everyone that grows microgreens uses wire racks and strip lights. Nothing new there. I did have some fans lying around, but I barely use them. Dehumidifier is more valuable here by me than a fan. Your racks seem to be also a compilation of many different styles as well. Everyone had their own spin on things!
      You guys have always taken a scientific approach with your videos, while we have always taken a business approach. We talk about the back end of the business and how to cut corners effectively by eliminating a lots of nonsense steps that so many growers we see use.
      Two channels, two perspectives is all!
      I wish you guys luck, you’ve always done well in this scene. No hate, just love. 🥰

      @@PrincetonMicrogreens competition is a stretch, we've had plenty of copy cat channels over the years... what I like to look at is to see what they are bringing unique to the table. Here I'm not seeing anything that hasn't already been done before... Best of luck!

      @@OnTheGrow no one has ever given a business perspective which we specialize in and people seem to love.
      I’m so sorry you you feel the way you do and your passive aggressive behavior.
      I want nothing more than to spread my love of the “business,” for free… unlike these other guys that charge thousands for Microgreen business classes. The hell with those guys!
      I’ve always respected your space. Lots of copycat channel sure, but almost 9,000 subs in 9 months is nothing to scoff at. 🤷🏻‍♂️
      Lucky for you, I have a sever brain tumor and have stepped away from RUclips indefinitely for medical reasons. Im sure I’ll start to fade away over time now. 🥲

    • @OnTheGrow
      @OnTheGrow 3 года назад +1

      @@PrincetonMicrogreens I know about your condition and I'm sorry to hear that. There are a ton of natural remedies to shrinking brain tumors, but I am sure you are aware of those! Also I'd steer clear from affirming you won't be here for long, affirmations have a big impact on our health.
      I think this a great platform for sharing uniqueness, but you can also find success in copying another's format nearly identical because they put in the time and money to learn what works. Our methods have been tested which is why individuals like yourself have success with them and share full walk-throughs that are identical to our methods with your "business perspective" to add value... same stainless steel table, shelf setup, grow methods, etc.
      Again, I wish you the best. You can get through this, and I'd love to see more content from you, but with your own unique flair to it outside the "business perspective".
