I thought the jinx commentary was adorable. Somehow it wasn't annoying and it made it feel like a friend was crocheting with you and showed the realities even the pro's face. Thanks for not editing that all out.
I enjoyed this video because that too. 🤭
Love these - my daughter has requested one in pinks so I'd better get to it! 😂 I often play a tutorial through before I get my hooks/yarn out, so I've got a good heads up for what will be coming and where I might need to pause etc and I find yours so delightful to listen to 😄 thank you for sharing your crochet and your personality, both are beautiful!
I think that's a great idea! Just like reading the entire written pattern before starting. You know what's coming up then. Nothing scary and you can practice something ahead of actually doing it. Thank you for your kind words too. I'd love to see your pink butterflies :)
That's beautiful! Would be so pretty on a decorative throw pillow, with some flowers scattered about. 💮🦋💮
YES! How pretty! Someone also put it on a top as well. It's great watching all the ideas come through :)
This is the best butterfly design I have seen, and the only one I want to make. I'm gathering my colors so I can finish watching whilst I stitch with you. Thank you so much! Peace and Blessings to everyone 🦋🌻🧶
Aww thank you - It's almost been 24 hours since your comment, so I hope you've made at least 25 butterflies hahahaha. Joking!!!! It's probably possibe, but one needs to eat and sleep. Thank you for your kind words.
Thanks for the laugh. I made half of one. I need to go down a hook size, so starting over today! Housework can always wait! Peace and Blessings 🦋🧶

@@theloopystitch love this tutorial. great to hear an Australian accent. Good clear instructions. Ps the problem with your autofocus was the plant at the top. Lol.

Thank you so much, I am glad you did.
Very pretty ❤
Thank you! 😊
I looked forever to find a certain butterfly pattern i once knew and finally found it ! And here you are with an even prettier one ! I will make both. 😊 thank you. New subscriber . Toward the last im wondering if this is over my head being a newbie. I have done the basic granny square only. 😮
I think if you take your time, don't put pressure on yourself or expect to know just like that, you will be more comfortable in learning. Without challenge, we cannot grow. Don't be harsh on yourself and practice practice practice x
Super beau , j'adore , merci beaucoup . Nouvelle abonnée et un grand merci pour les sous titres en français 😊💜😘
Ooh you're welcome, I didn't know they translated! This is great to know - take care x 🦋
@@theloopystitch merci beaucoup , prends soin de toi également , bonne soirée de France 😊😘
Thank you very beautiful, and great instructions. New sub looking forward to seeing more videos
You're most welcome 🦋 thank you for subscribing x
That is gorgeous. I still can’t learn to crochet.
That's okay, we all had to start someone. I recommend Googling or looking it up here in RUclips, find someone who explains it well and take baby steps, don't put too much pressure on yourself, because it can be scary and fiddly but it is all worth it in the end. Think of the things you could crochet 😀
Mükemmel
..💯💯💯💯💐❤️🙋 Elinize emeğinize sağlık olsun.
You're welcome x
It is very beautiful❤
Thank you so much 🦋
thank you! loved it
Yay :) You are very welcome x
This butterfly is GORGEOUS! I'm considering using it for a dreamcatcher I want to make for my daughter. About how wide (tip of top wing to tip of top wing) & tall (tip of bottom wing to tip of top wing) would you say this comes out to? 🤔
Thank you, that sounds like an amazing idea. The measurements will differ due to your yarn, hook and tension, but these ones measures 20cm x 9cm. You could make them smaller with finer yarn.
You just got a new subscriber, ignore the haters ❤ you’re doing wonderful. Remember, the devil is a liar.
Thank you so much - ain't nobody got time for that ;)
Beautiful! Thank your for sharing this tutorial. Just a tip, I think the camera is having trouble focusing because it wants to focus on the little plant in the background.
My camera loves to focus where it shouldn't lol. It's not the easiest one to work with. Even when there is nothing in the background lol. Hahah.
Very good tutorial crochet my dear❤❤
Thank you so much 😊
@@theloopystitch 💐💐💐
Love it.
Thank you so much x
Very cute! I could see these made into little shawls ❤
Now that would be amazing!!! 🦋
I'm curious. Do you see a butterfly shaped shawl or a shawl made from multiple, connected butterfly motifs? I can envision it both ways. Wow, wonderful if you can do it! 🌻🧶
@@krazedvintagemodel cute
What an idea! I think my young niece would like a doll sized one, perhaps with a little snap to hold it closed. Thanks for a great thought! 😀
hi, this looks beautiful. what should i do if i want to make a larger version of this?
Thank you 😀 I made a larger version, check on my Instagram account (The Loopy Stitch), it does work, you have to keep the same system/pattern going.
Muy hermoso su trabajo.. felicitaciones!!👏👏❤️ En algún momento podrá poner con traducción al castellano??
Hello there, thank you. I am not sure if I will or how at this moment in time. Very new to all of this technology x
Thank you so much for the tutorial, the pattern is wonderful! I was wondering if you had any tips on making the butterfly smaller besides changing the hook size, would love to make miniature butterflies :))
Thank you :) I have replied to you via Instagram x
Loving this❤❤❤!! Will there be a tutorial on how to join them?
Maybe, not entirely sure yet. But I would use the pull loop through method. I have a video using this method for my Floral Dreams motifs 😀
Gorgeous!!
Thank you so much 🦋 x
Very nice❤❤❤
Many many thanks
Beautiful! How much does one of these weigh and what yarn thickness did you use?
Thank you. It's an 8 ply cotton. It wouldn't weigh too much but that will depend if you use the same yarn, and have the same tension etc 😀
Would make a cute human sweater. A little bigger of course 😊
I love this it reminds me of malenia 2nd phase in Elden Ring❤ I think I will make one in shades of pink and cream❤
Oooh lovely! I am ashamed to say I do not know what that is 🫣🤔😘
I can't wait to make this! Is this a medium weight yarn? I'll be using I love this cotton brand from Hobby Lobby. Hopefully it works out just fine. Is it okay if I make some of these and sell my finished product at my local market?? I think I want to make a garland. Thank you for the tutorial ❤
Hello there :) Yes, please of course you can sell the finished pieces. It's known as DK Double Knit... which is about an 8ply and I believe it's a bit lighter/thinner than the medium weight in the US. I use a 4mm hook with it if that helps :) And you're very welcome. x
I am so excited to have found this tutorial. Is there a way to make this into a granny square? ( im a suuuuper noob so if the answer is obvious to others my bad)
Haha I love that you added the last bit in :) Not really. Never as easy as it seems.
Divina😍
Thank you so much x
👌Thank's',Mine came out a little tight🤪(My tension)but nice', can these butterflies be joined🤔
Definitely make one or them in a bigger hook....unless it looks likes its about to fly??? 🤔
these are cool! any ideas of what someone can do with these? 😊
People are making garlands, bookmarks, t shirt appliques, I've seen some attached to other crochet too. This butterfly pattern was originally in my Resilience in Bloom blanket pattern 😀
I need a big one for my daughter’s fancy dress competition. Any advise?
You can keep going in the same manner. Have a look at my Instagram page, I made a larger rainbow one. 😀
Just made one
Yay :)
Hermoso trabajo! Me encantaría que tenga subtitulos en español, me cuesta mucho seguir el tutorial 😔
Can you add to the rows without it getting jumbled?
You can. I made on larger, I think I posted it on my Instagram page. It was multi-coloured rainbow.
Here's a question for you. If i wanted to make these butterfly wings on a mogwai doll and i needed to take it uo to 10 rows that can be done easy right? Mogwai like Gizmo from gremlins.
Yes I believe you could make it bigger, just increasing each row in the same way. I'm yet to try and make a really big one - I'd love to see your finished Mogwai doll.
Every time I'm starting out, my magic circle gets stuck too large after the 7 doubles and won't close and it's so frustrating
That's not good to read. Have you tried pulling the MR a closed a little after making it, and then work stitches into it?
Yes i try to make it as small as possible to start out. The tail is supposed to be able to pull it tight but it wont and i cannot figure out what im doing wrong. I even went back and looked up how to do a magic circle to be sure i was doing it correctly and i believe i am. It just wont close up @theloopystitch
@@theloopystitchI figured it out. After 10+ tries lol so when I first begin the magic circle, making the little X on my fingers, I had my tail where my working yard should be on the X. If that makes sense for anyone else I hope!
Are you using cotton yarn?
Please see my previous reply to you :)
Did you throw in a “Bones” reference?
Ahhh I did watch and love that show... must start again. It's been a few years, but can you please remind me what I could have said? :) 🦋
Phalanges. It’s how she played with the babies! 😂
What to do, what to do with all the butterflies I need to make!!!
Who cares? Just make alllll the butterflies then decide? hahaha logic, right?
How do you finish all the leftover tales you just cut them off?
Yes 😀 after finishing the rows, I cut the yarn about approximately 10cm, then after completing the final round (white for example in this one), I weave in as you crochet over some of the tail on this round 😀
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What is the brand of the yarn?
Hello there - I've just copied and pasted this from the video description
MATERIALS:
For this tutorial, I used Stylecraft Naturals Organic Cotton in the following colours:
Gypsum, Peach, Coral, Peppermint, Sage and Storm
Can you give me some ideas of how to use it?
Hello there, it was originally in my Resilience in Bloom blanket, but appliques, garlands, framed, etc.
