Thank you, this was very helpful. Please let me know how to calculate the weighted average in cases where we do not know the weight keys (for eg. calculating a weighted average number of seeds sprouting in control and experimental conditions)?
This is academia example and not useful to me. I am using two multipliers and wish to combine these. But I want to give one multiplier more weight. just an average of these two multipliers is not accurate. How do I do this?
**** What if you have a score of 0 and you don't want to include that row in your weighted average? How can I solve this? Is there a way to have the SUMPRODUCT function exclude this one from the entire formula?
Is it possible to exclude certain grades without affecting the overall average? For example, if a student is absent or otherwise unable to submit an assignment can that grade be excluded from their total without negatively affecting it?

Straight to the point and very clearly explained!! Thank you! Subscribed 🙂
This only works if all the scores are out of 100. What happens when they're out of different totals?

Great Video, very easy to follow, thanks for uploading
weight is % . if you multiply with 56 x 0,15 should be 8.4 ?
The sum of weight always adds to 100?
This was a great video. Thank you for taking the time to explain how it ALL works. You ROCK.
Cheers Elaine 👍
Very helpful thank you!!!
My marks are not in percentages it is just the marks themselves. How? Please help. The end mark need to be the average percentage
Thank you so much for this. I kept on being confused with how to do this accurately.
❤
Thanks
I want to say thank you for explaining this process in such plain and simple terms, and showing your steps.
