I think that last predator custom is meant to be the skull of the original predator design. We see it for a bit in Predators. Fun fact, the muscles from Brussels Jon claud van Damme was originally going to be the Predator in that original suit.
It is. They used the original design for another species called The Amengi that enslaved the proto-predator race, before being eventually overthrown by the Proto-Predator's equivalent to Spartacus.
The climbing trees part of the predator is really fun but the fire team is just way too op and them being more fast paced while the Predator being super slow pace is a terrible match

Until the Predator unlocks a couple weapons the fireteam is definitely stronger. Once you get your bow that doesn't reveal stealth and does a good quarter of health every hit and start abusing jumping in combat, though? The balance completely flips on its head. A Predator that knows how to abuse the game's jankiness and unfair mechanics can win very easily.
This game absolutely popped off during its free few day trial weeks before its launch. For me I think the problem there was that we had all the fun in the 3 days or so during the trial and the actual game was nothing different in terms of modes/maps nor did it have any incentives other than cosmetics so people got bored real fast

My friend and I played this to death when it released then we realised that the lootboxes are dumb and trying to play Predator is so just painful. It’s literally either you kill the fireteam 5 minutes in or you just get 4 Dutches who kill you with knives which you have no power over
Yea the draw of the game to me was the fire team has to work together to beat the pred but after playing 100 games as pred i realized either the fire team is too strong or i suck well i played as fireteam and have never lost once it's baffling the difference
I got this game on psplus for free and I’d say it should be worth maybe 20-25 bucks for what it offers, being one of the humans fighting the predator felt good I felt like I had weight to me and we had to work together to take down a predator and be careful or we’d get picked off. Playing the predator though felt…….horrid for me at least it felt wrong to use.

Exactly how I felt too. It was fun with a squad of friends, playing as the humans trying to survive, but with the predator it kinda just felt like I had less control and couldn't do what I wanted.

Once you unlock a couple of weapons with the predator he is pretty good (I know this because I played this game pretty extensively when it launched both fireteam and predator). A predator that also knows what they are doing will usually beat the fire team. The predator will quickly die when they are faced with the full fire team which is why you try to pick off people when they are alone or if the fireteam is good and don't split up it slows them down considerably. This gives you a chance either way to win. I would explain in more detail, but it would take a long time. Regardless of what it seems like the predator is best played as a hit and run ambusher which means playing slowly.
personally I love predator hunting grounds and I will always love playing as the fireteam especially at night against a good predator because that can be terrifying

Oh, I know what that is in Custom Loadout 12 at 1:45! It's the prototype suit the producers had before it got scrapped and replaced with the one we know now. It was bright orange in order to make it stand out from the green and make it "invisible" and the crew couldn't take it seriously because it looked like a big orange dinosaur romping through the jungle.
For anyone who wants a game like this but actually good, the VR shooter Pavlov has a game mode called the hidden, which is a good and simplified version of the predator concept
Dude never stop making videos. They are fantastic. I found your channel like a month ago and I've watched most of them. Last night I finished the mass effect trilogy and those were great too and I was skeptical before watching them. You have fantastic pacing in the edit, great comedic timing, just the right amount of "crazy" in tone and the voice wraps it all up into a funny ass package especially when it randomly changes for a couple of words. Lastly, thank you for the many hours of entertainment. I won't pay you back... In fact can I borrow $50? 2 fitty? No? Shit.
As a day 1 pred main, I am for sure this game is balanced more towards the fireteams. 100 percent as a max level Pred main, I consistently am unable to really win a match against a competent fireteam, ESPECIALLY PC fireteams. Only because they have communication and coordination, meanwhile randos without mics are easy prey. Fireteams also get all the challenges for in game currency, none for Predator. They also have UAVs, which instantly spot the Predator anywhere on the map, and for a while they had specializations while Predators didn't. With the numerous DLC weapons added, I can 100 percent confirm that fireteam is still more powerful than Predator. I can kill one or two members in a match against good fireteam players. I just can't win, because Predator has to wait for openings.
Note that winning a match as a Predator means killing all 4 fireteam members. Killing 1-3 will not count if any of them escape after completing their objectives.

I really enjoyed Hunting Ground, but I totally agree with the review that said it get repetitive fast. The wait time for the Predator is ridiculous, nearly 2-3 times longer that the hunters, but both are equally fun to play. The balancing is amazing, with a skilled hunter being able to wipe a team in minutes while one that runs in carelessly would get gunned down immediately. The only thing I hate about the game is the self destruct sequence the Predator has. Unless you know what your doing, standing on the body when they die *and* don't make a single mistake, you're pretty much dead. I'd give the 6/10, nowhere near perfect, but not bad for what it is.
That is just incorrect. Predator should be able to run into a team and wipe them. They are Predator. Human players should experience the fates of NPCs, not be a credible threat. Most assymetical games get it wrong, except Evolve.
The last predator class is lore accurate, it's the predator to stand against it's captives, the species used to be slaves until the alpha predator killed their captives and escaped with the rest of the species which is what sent them down the road of finding the ultimate prey, something strong enough to kill them so they can.also be stronger by splicing their DNA
Yes it's a 3 faction map. The predator and the hunters are humans meanwhile a third faction occupies and fights both. Much like how in the movie Arnold's team fights those smucks in the village and then the predator.not a tutorial thing but I'm pretty sure it states this on the store page.
What’s funny is that I watched Jim Sterling’s review of the game, who essentially said that this game was “pick it up once and never pick it up again”. I initially laughed cuz I did have some fun with the game and kept telling myself, “Nah I won’t do that”. Guess what ended up happening XD
This game is amazing. I love it when I go up against teams that actually communicate with each other. Hope one day they may do something with the Predator game play and add it to a single player storyline.
I remember playing this and getting bored with my squad because I was so good at tracking if I see the Pred they can never escape. Also I abused the absolute hell out of amphibious making me able to solo essentially any predator except good berserkers. Fun but it gets so easy once you understand the game
From what I’ve seen I have to say they dropped the ball on how the human soldiers look,the whole point of the movie was a group of massively buff and masculine action heroes dripping with testosterone and over the top badassery being completely outclassed and picked one by one by this alien thing that makes them look weak in comparison,meanwhile in the game the soldiers look like they’ve been on a soy milk diet,it’s just an aesthetic thing but it bothers me.
It is stealthy. Having camouflage on makes you stealthy. That is what “stealth” games get wrong - if you have a form of invisibility, you can run into the enemies all you want, and it should still be considered stealthy. Cyberpunk 2077 got the concept better with camouflage and Sandevistan/katana gameplay.
The “ant man” looking skin was the original predator design that they ended up scrapping halfway through the first movies production

The last predator class is lore accurate, it's the predator to stand against it's captives, the species used to be slaves until the alpha predator killed their captives and escaped with the rest of the species which is what sent them down the road of finding the ultimate prey, something strong enough to kill them so they can.also be stronger by splicing their DNA

Yes it's a 3 faction map. The predator and the hunters are humans meanwhile a third faction occupies and fights both. Much like how in the movie Arnold's team fights those smucks in the village and then the predator.not a tutorial thing but I'm pretty sure it states this on the store page.

the wildest Attack on Titan game I've ever seen
What’s funny is that I watched Jim Sterling’s review of the game, who essentially said that this game was “pick it up once and never pick it up again”. I initially laughed cuz I did have some fun with the game and kept telling myself, “Nah I won’t do that”. Guess what ended up happening XD
still a better predator content than that awful "Prey" movie I saw yesterday

This game is amazing. I love it when I go up against teams that actually communicate with each other. Hope one day they may do something with the Predator game play and add it to a single player storyline.

"Perfect I just want Evolve 2" well there was Evolve Stage 2 which was I think free to play but I can't find it on steam anymore
I remember playing this and getting bored with my squad because I was so good at tracking if I see the Pred they can never escape. Also I abused the absolute hell out of amphibious making me able to solo essentially any predator except good berserkers. Fun but it gets so easy once you understand the game
This game got Arnold back, added a Samurai and the City Hunter skins and even got the references down, yet still managed to screw itself up lol.
That is a testament to how design team, no matter how spectacular they are, cannot carry the game.
League of Legends is another one of those examples
From what I’ve seen I have to say they dropped the ball on how the human soldiers look,the whole point of the movie was a group of massively buff and masculine action heroes dripping with testosterone and over the top badassery being completely outclassed and picked one by one by this alien thing that makes them look weak in comparison,meanwhile in the game the soldiers look like they’ve been on a soy milk diet,it’s just an aesthetic thing but it bothers me.
Well there’s your problem. Masculinity is a no no now a days.

I know they mocked this in the beginning but like, aren't you supposed to be stealthy as the predator?
Running right into a group isn't very stealthy
It is stealthy.
Having camouflage on makes you stealthy.
That is what “stealth” games get wrong - if you have a form of invisibility, you can run into the enemies all you want, and it should still be considered stealthy.
Cyberpunk 2077 got the concept better with camouflage and Sandevistan/katana gameplay.
