Based on the past events in South Africa though, we can say the world cup is in good hands.Countries have corruption but they still host such events successfully. SA is no exception. We understand your concerns, and if you really wish us good, you will be proud and happy for us come end of the tournament. Its a big challenge, but South Africans understand the magnitude, and are willing to help make it a special showpiece.

There are countries with high crime rates, even the so called elites, the difference is that they have states that take longer than others to submit their statistics, and when they eventually do, the statistics hardly reflect the reality, and Im talking about states that are traditionally hot spots.

Have you NO appreciation for the fact that Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in jail, this at the hand of white authority, but still decided to forgive and forget and fight for a country with equal rights for ALL South African citizens? He could have wanted to turn Apartheid around, which is what most people would have done, had they been in his position. And also, just a note, Nelson Mandela was for the idea of peaceful, non-violent protest until there was no other way out.

@charles0111 Up routing & moving to another country is not easy, I'm divorced & makes it difficult. My kids go to an awesome muli racial Christian school which teaches amongst other things, unity in race. I don't want to change that. The school they go to is saving their souls. I was blessed to have parents who taught me humanity & not racial hatred, though I'm angry, I teach my children the same. All my energy unfortunately, is spent looking over my shoulder & being suspicious of the criminal.
