2024 is looking super exciting time for PC VR enthusiast particularly within the simulator market. BigScreen Beyond, Pimax Crystal Lite/Pro and the Somnium VR1 which would you choose?
The OG crystal is wireless now when the WiGig comes out.. its the only true PCVR wireless headset then. As it can do the full 8.4MP at 90hz... the wireless wont work on any other of their headsets as it needs the XR2. And as it has eye tracking, so it still has clear value. The wireless system uses eye tracking, so you get low compression quality image and higher compression on the areas where you are not looking at.
QLED will be better with Pancake lenses which absorb too much light. Therefore Beyond and QPro are not bright enough. Also Micro Oleds have a size limitation for now so that's why younhave so small FOV on Beyond.
Bigscreen and VR1 also do not come with controllers or trackers, so you need to buy all that separately, their real price is much higher.
Yeah true also tax isn't included on the VR1 but I just thought it was easier to keep things simple.

MAN they screwed up big time removing eye tracking from the light budget restricted people dont have an rtx 4090 TO run a pymax without dfr

How many hundreds extra would it add to the cost of the headset? Just put that money towards a new graphics card instead.
