- So great to se all four of these amazing freshmen get 10's literally in the same 24 hours! Love to see all of them shine in college after amazing elite careers.
** I do not own this coverage all credit goes to owners ** Спорт
I love to see how happy they all look! Elite is so serious and high pressure, it’s great to see them enjoy this sport that they dedicated their childhoods to. And Jade worked so hard on bars before Tokyo, adding incredible difficulty, that 10 must be so satisfying for her. The Bhardwaj is my favorite part!
Exactly.. I enjoy watching this over the Olympics. It's great to see their personalities shine through.. and SMILES!!!..yet still doing the impossible, gravity defying elements. So much JOY and how the team-mates do all the moves with the one performing. LOVE THIS so much.
It must be easy for them though, wonder do the other girls feel at a disvantage, remember these girls trained with Simone Biles, imagine her in college with moves named after her I would feel at a disvantage
I think the Gold Across America gymnastics tour after the Olympics really helped these ladies transition into college gymnastics.
It really did help the three settle down and learn to have fun, Suni seemed to struggle when she first got into her college gym because she never really decompressed.
Jordan's floor routine made me happy cry-- seeing her so confident and having so much fun!!
Ditto 🥰😭💖
The exuberance at the end when she knew she'd NAILED that routine was amazing!❤️
@@karyon1007 I know, just so happy for her!😭💖👑👏
YES!!! I did the "happy cry" too. It's a joy when they have fun & feel free. I think they perform better with less pressure. I also love that they're able to add their own personalities as their team mates join in.
Can we appreciate how much actual PERFORMANCE was part of Jordan's floor routine? In Olympic and world championship kinda turnaments it has come to difficulty, difficulty, difficulty with the artistic parts of artistic gymnastics almost being lost to that. But here... DAMN GIRL them moves were FIRE! Very reminiscing of Ohashi's energy when preforming her legendary floor routine in college competitions. Loved it. And on top the difficulty was still through the roof and execution just on POINT!
Same college too. The Bruins were perfect for her and she also had the advantage of Miss Val being on the tour as supervising choreographer to help her (and we'll, all of them) get into that mindset.
I’m not even a gymnast…. But a dancer, and I agree. Damn, she was living! I know people I dance with who couldn’t have that much confidence and power. She slayed 👏👏👏
I was thinking the same thing! It's the same kind of raw joy and she looks so happy!
I love how Jade still has a lot of elite difficulty In her routines. She's not watering down because she can... Shows she wants to keep improving herself. . Great to see!
They all seem so happy! Glad to see them shake off the expectations and pressure of elite to just enjoy the sport and college life.
all within 24 hours of each other 🤩🤩🤩🤩
That’s amazing! They’re killing it in college
I'm wondering now if any of these 4 Olympians could get the NCAA Perfect 40. It feels like Jade might be in the driver's seat for that to happen.
She definitely has the consistency for it happening. She has done 4 all around and scored in all events 9.9 or higher.
@@KaMaJuSo I dunno, I think Suni was pretty close this week. She scored 39.825 over her 4 events. But all of the Olympians scored 10s on at least one event.
Jade won all five event titles again. What is the record for most times sweeping the event titles in a single season?
Huge asset to Oregon, love seeing her really happy.
She for sure has a shot at breaking the record.
Shouldn’t NCAA raised their standard a little bit more compare to world class competition?
@@mracer8 I mean if ncaa tried to make all the routines as difficult as Jade’s with a Silivas ncaa would lose all its popularity from all the gymnasts falling all the time not to mention the injuries from competing that difficulty every week versus elites who compete every other month or so. And also you have to remember that even Jade’s downgraded routine here (compared to her elite routine) is still more difficult than most of the international gymnasts. Silivas really isn’t a normal tumbling pass outside of USA, heck vlada Urazova nearly won a floor medal and her most difficult pass is 2.5+front tuck.
NCAA difficulty on vault and floor is actually quite competitive with the rest of the world - seriously a vault lineup like Michigan’s or LSU’s would outscore most of the world on vault outside the top 3-5 countries. It’s bars and beam where the routines in NCAA really lack - not surprising considering how light the requirements are in USAG level 10 for those two events, ncaa can’t differ too much from that.
And the week before, the freshman from the Worlds team, Leanne Wong, got a 10 too!
Leanne was also an Olympian alternate. She did not compete though there were spots available because her roommate Kara Eaker tested positive for covid and she was quarantined
Rooting for Emma and Kara to get 10's!!! (Emma should kinda have one by now but that 9.85 from one judge...)
@@DanTowey What spots were available? None of the members of the Olympic team withdrew before qualifications, so what do you mean?
@@PeRiDoTs13 Simone withdrew
@@DanTowey She withdrew after qualifications. As such, she gets replaced by the teammate with the next highest score from qualifications if she was eliminated due to the two per country rule, or with another gymnast altogether if the two per country rule didn’t apply. None of the alternates competed in qualifications, so their chances of being in the Olympics were gone as soon as qualifications started.
So proud of all of these ladies, equally!!!! Terrific job and you and your respective teams have made it such a joy to watch NCAA gymnastics!!! CONGRATS ALL AROUND, KILLING IT OUT HERE. 💕🎉👏😎
Jordan Chiles' floor routine should really being going viral by now because that was sooo fun to watch. The superhero dive looked so cool and her dance moves made me re-watch a few times like how is this routine not EVERYWHERE??? Yet another iconic addition to the UCLA gymnastics legacy
Way to go ladies!!👏👏❤❤
Love seeing these girls do so well in college!
I think their energy is on a whole new level!
These 4 will change gymnastics forever. In my young gymnast days, college gymnastics was a failure because only olympians counted. Thankfully the world has rotated! I am so happy to see them happy! It’s just beautiful!
So proud of these ladies. ❤
Jordan's floor is my favorite FX of the former elite collegiate crew
Jordan is so charismatic on floor omg
These ladies are just BAD ASS!!!!!!! I just love watching them! ❤️❤️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I'm so happy to all 4 US 🇺🇸 Olympian Freshman gets their perfect 10.000 in the same week!
Congrats 🎉🎊
Florida Gator Leanne Wong, quarantined Olympian because roommate Kara Eaker got covid & 2021 World AA Silver medalist 🥈 got the 1st 10 LAST week on bars
Why can’t elite be this fun?!?!?!
difficulty.
Bc it would be very annoying
The stakes are higher.
Imagine if they were all on the same team. They would be unstoppable
Leanne Wong also got a perfect 10 on bars!
thats amazing
I wish I could watch Jade more, but I can't always find her OSU meets.
They’re a treat in person!
You can go to the PAC 12 Livestream on RUclips at the time of the meet!!
@@pautizon8827 Also on ESPN.
Love all of the routines and it’s great to see them all happy compared to olympic trials lol. I love how the NCAA focuses on artistry and putting on a great performance, but it’s a little bit sad to see that all three bar routines got the same score here, even though some are clearly harder than others. No shade to Grace at all, her routine was awesome! But I feel like Suni and Jade should get additional credit. Does anyone else see this the same way? I’m still new to NCAA WAG and I may not understand the rules entirely-I’d love any clarification if I’m missing something.
Get what you're saying, but because they work on the 10 system, no matter how hard the routine, you can't score any higher (can't decrease difficulty either).
Ahh I think I get it. So does that mean that every routine is a 10? Or is there like a minimum difficulty for it to be a 10? Do they even consider the letter values in the fig code or is that just completely out?
@@Ryan-mw4zv No, not every routine starts at a 10.0. For instance, there are some vaults that start at 10.0 and others that start at 9.95 or lower. They do use letter skills (nothing higher than an 'E'),but no routine can be valued over a 10.0.
@Ryan, I agree with your assessment. Which is why I Agree with other comments that Jade still has super hard skills in her routine! Go Jade!
I could watch Jordan's floor all day
Legitimate question.. does college gymnastics judge differently than elite? They all knocked it out of the park, but the only person I saw with a truly flawless routine was Jade.
yes they do !
The code isn't as harsh
Jordan Chiles is sunshine roses rainbows and fireworks.
They all look like they enjoy the sport so much more in collegiate gymnastics vs looking miserable and terrified in elite
Remember when it was almost impossible to get a 10 in gymnastics. Seems to happen all the time now. Maybe with the “better” talent of today we need a tougher scoring system.
GO TEAM USA!! 🤍❤️💙
YESssssssssss
What’s an “Olympian Freshman”?
So now we got Jade Carey doing a harder bar routine than Suni Lee (in terms of skills, I guess technically Suni has one additional connection)?... and that routine is almost identical to Grace McCallum's... I realize it's not a requirement in the rule book, but I kinda feel like these 10.0 bar routines ought to have at least one same-bar release skill!
Is there no deduction for the landing on jordan's wolf jump 3/2? It looked messy to me
I think it depends on the angle the judges were at and how picky they were at the time.
I think that her high difficulty in her tumbling made up for it, not sure though.
@@avaliebrinn8522 also the leap series was more difficult then she had to do so the judges probably didn’t deduct or it was the angle and they didn’t see it sloppy either or
What is the last song in Jordan’s floor routine cause it sounds familiar but I can’t remember the name
I think it’s Rumors by Lizzo!
It’s truth hurts by Lizzo
I feel like they met end up getting favored with their scores. Jordan’s leap landings and maybe one other pass could’ve had a small deduction
Jades UB WTF!!!!!!!!
These are elite gymnasts of course they are gonna get 10 scores this routine is just simple warm ups for them Teresa Robertson
jade getting a 10 on bars. who knew?
Jordan and jade are the only ones I feel actually scored a 10
Viva Nadia Comaneci the best for éternity !
I remember when 10s were rare. Now they're giving them out to every tom, dick and harry
If they're all getting perfect 10s, it doesn't make it as special anymore.
66
leanne is an olympian too 😶
Naur
She was an alternate and also her 10 was from last week
The caption wrote this week! It’s quite obvious! Leanne was lastweek
Leanne was last week and she was the first freshman to get a 10 this season period
She is, but we’re talking about the ones who competed.
Correction 'perfect' all of those routines had deductions
Grace with flexed feet on the dismount
Jade and Suni missed handstands
And Jordan with that out of controll leap series.
I agree. But the nasty comments and harsh criticism that they have towards other college gymnasts is never applied towards the gymnasts transitioning from elite. They’re biased.
@@duckey3681 Out of curiosity, who is the "they" in that statement? The judges?
@@karyon1007 They meaning the RUclips community
In college you have to be 90 degrees in the handstand for no deduction, so I think Jade was fine but Suni’s last handstand was questionable but idk it may have been the angle
I dont thinm jade should of gotten a ten
It’s nice to see Jordan competing on a level where she doesn’t fail because she really fucked in the Olympics she just completely crumbled under the pressure along with her BFF
? 10.0's - 10s. Never seconds - from faked physics.
Why do gymnast wear leotards with thong bottoms?
I agree. These gymnasts are outstanding! And given the recent history of abuse in the gymnastics community, why is it that their attire is something that can be seen as sexualizing them? It feels like it takes away from the incredible athleticism and grace in their performance, and is unnecessary.
It's the freshman 15...or 30!!!
They need to do away with the tens. I mean they haven’t had it for almost 20 yrs. That’s if they want to stay competitive. For viewers
I love the 10 scoring system…It’s so much more fun and separates it from the elite level.
@@michelea2326 Yeah scores between 9.8 and 10 99% of the time, so much fun yeahh
@@fgdh2460 s/ seeeeee you’re having fun!!! (It’s not that serious…)
what do u mean by “they haven’t had it for almost 20 years”? this is NCAA college gymnastics, not elite/Olympics level. they’re literally competing under two different codes. NCAA has always used the perfect 10 system from the start, and deductions are more lenient compared to elite gymnastics.
NCAA has always had the 10 point scoring system
These really aren't "competitions" anymore, they are more like HOOCHYMAMA exhibitions! 🤣🙃🤪😁👎
Everybody gets a 10.00 for participation so their feeeeeeelings aren't hurt. 🤣🙃🤪✌🤘🤟
Ooooo, and they are "phoning" it in on gymnastic skill! 🤣
I have a ton of respect for all these ladies going to college! Notice Simone is the only one not in school, competing for a team. Says a lot about her.
Simone is 24, which is much older than these girls. She chose to go pro and attend online university classes. Don’t imply that her choices make her somehow less impressive or less of a role model.
Simone went pro after 2016, and with current NIL rules she couldnt compete in NCAA, she was also training elite for full and recovering from the Olympics, so she decided to do her college online to best manage her time
Would you say the same about Jordyn Weiber? Also an Olympian, also a world champion, and also did not compete NCAA
This is the most ignorant post I’ve ever seen.
Simone and Myk, though Myk went to Utah already and Simone gave up her college eligibility for becoming a oro
Oh? What does it say about her exactly?
