The children are gorgeous little Issac's legs running to catch up with big brother. They learn such a lot from parents who take time and patience to teach .x
I love watching parents teach their children manual skills! They learn a lot more from reflection of that task than they thought they did when they were doing it. They could be in their middle ages and remember doing something similar to what they are doing at this time, and remember not only what Dad or Mom told them, but what they saw their parent do and why it now makes sense. Man we had a creek that ran behind our house growing up in southern Virginia. That thing was full of crawdads. It ran into Blackwater Swamp at the back of the neighborhood. During the summer, parts of the swamp would dry up and you could get all the box turtles you wanted til the next rain. We all had pet box turtles. Good memories.
Your boy is a natural with that speed square and look how well both of them worked together to get the scrap picked up and out of the way!! They reminded me of my sister and me playing in the creek next to our house when we were kids......

Great job Team Green Acre Homestead! This was fun to watch with the entire family helping with different parts. Your boys are so cute and helpful. A quick tip I have seen on some woodworker channels: put your pencil point on the mark, then slide the square up against it. Now mark your line. Excited to seel this greenhouse project as it comes together. TFS

Sam, this was fantastic. I just love it when you show us your kids working and learning with you!!! I know you know you are teaching them priceless lessons for the rest of their life. I love that the reward for their hard work was, the family experience, of going to the creek. You didn't bribe them with toys or money like some people do. It’s really neat seeing you working with your kids. I have so many memories of my dad. He passed away in July at the age of 62. Your son will look back on this and smile. Great memories for you too.

DIY for the boys dad,,, make 3 very simple sailboats out of scrap wood, one for you one for each boy. As you put yours together they watch n do the same. When done, creek here they come!

Lol @kids! We are redoing our flower beds. The first step was removing all the landscape pebbles. My 9 year old daughter was put out that we expected her to "work so hard". I think I'll show her this because she swears we're the only parents who make their child work for priveldges!!

Sam the greenhouse foundation is looking awesome. I see where you have quite drop in the ground in the front to the back but at first I didn't see it as for the wood and all but I could visibly see it all coming together once the boys moved the boards and etc........they are some good helpers and sure cute little guys! All energy and that's great! They will grow up with tons of great experiences with you and Angela as their parents and surely not afraid to work.

Great video, Will enjoy watching your greenhouse come together. I made the mistake of buying one from Target(just like all the other ones in a kit) Paid around 2000 dollars. It sits in my back yard about 3 foot from a 6 foot stockade fence on the long side and the same on one short end. 3 months after the build we were picking up windows from the yard and alley. Was only able to use it about a month because even with a fan the temps got up over 114 degrees. I couldn't find a swam cooler to buy that late in the season. I had great plans for Spring of 2020 getting a jump start but so far not so good. I am disabled and so is my husband with illness that could kill him if he got this virus so we have distanced ourselves from everyone since 3/15. Problem my son and daughter are the ones that could help put the 4 windows back in the top and 2 on the sides that have blown out. We had plans to build a wooden frame around it this spring ....... So much for kits. You chose wisely. Thank you for including the boys, I really enjoyed seeing them play and help. My two sons are 18 months apart in age, now 48 and 50. I still remember them being your boy's size. Brings back such memories for me, thank you. Love and blessings to all of you, stay safe.
