Wow. I still remember playing this chapter for the first time. I loved how Joel and Ellie finally had some people they could talk to. Henry and Sam were instantly likeable. As much as I felt hurt and angry that Henry betrayed Joel and Ellie once he explained himself I was able to calm down and just forgive and forget. I read notes of a man called Ish who found a family and decided to stay with them acting as a father figure to the kids. However things ended tragically with the mother killing her own children. That made me depressed but I thought the same thing ain’t going to happen to Joel Ellie Henry or Sam. They were safe. After eliminating the sniper and escaping the Infected horde I was certain that they were in the clear. It would be smooth sailing from now on and they would get to Tommy unchallenged but the most horrifying discovery was yet to come. I started to get the feeling that things were too perfect and Sam looking at his bite mark made my stomach drop to the floor. Soon Sam died and Henry took his own life. The music swelled and I teared up. My heart was racing. How could Sam and Henry be dead. This made me realise that things are never going to end happily in this apocalyptic world. People will die and the world won’t apologise it will just tell you move on. This game had lulled me into a false sense of security and a naive optimism but I learned to keep my guard up and to treasure the time I had with these characters. My second play through I listened to most of the optional conversations scavenged for materials all to delay the inevitable but it still came and I felt the same emotions again. This game is a beautiful tragedy where we want the characters to succeed so much and when they don’t our hearts are broken and we have to endure still trying to cling onto hope because we can’t go on without hope. Hope is important to our survival because it makes us look forward to the future and enjoy the time we have with the people we care about.

Damn! I have played this game 3 times and watched the play through of multiple youtubers but I will always be scared for Sam and Henry.
Here this guy even shoots the clicker that was about to bite Sam. And Henry pointing that gun at Joel, then shoots himself. Fuck, that hurts every time.

Man even the original ps3 version was amazing graphically. Could play that one easily. The remasters controls and updated details are a nice touch though so obviously this is prolly the definitive way to play the game now.

Fun fact: Bullets, especially sniper bullets, can punch through cars.
This game plays out like watching a well made movie rather than playing a game with mindless NPC's. It has interesting characters and what they all do make some sense.

The game took a big turn after this chapter.
I know it's coming and how it ends....it still isn't easy to watch and I'm just wishing "no, no, no." It is a fictional story and yet it hits so deep.

He’s a talented gamer and I like his style but as someone who has 1800 hours doing grounded on TLOU1&2, this isn’t grounded. In all his grounded uploads, he always seems to have infinite ammo and he NEVER collects ammo or material for Molotovs or bombs etc. The devils in the detail. Just wish he’d just be honest and not claim he’s on grounded.
I’m looking forward to playing this remake with the custom difficulty sliders.

Yeah, dude has almost infinite ammo and doesn't even takes the time to scavenge for loot. Even tho on Grounded all resources are very scarce, specially ammo.
