Thanks. Yeah, that's the number one obstacle right now... 17 millions users (probably only half of them active) and so far only a few hundred thousand KYC slots. I'm sure that the KYC verification will go on even once Pi reaches the mainnet unless they can come up with some alternative method that doesn't cost 1 GBP per verification.
I don't think that there'll still be YOTI for anyone. AFAIK all users that didn't get their chance with YOTI will have to complete KYC using the new method.

Ive had around four 15 minute verification slots given to me over the past month but every time I submit my passport info it takes me to the "we are processing your data screen" but never goes anywhere and I have to resend my information at a later date. Is anyone else having this issue?
So I finally got mine authorised after a couple of weeks after posting my last msg. Double check everything and make sure the picture you are using is VERY clear, after I did this someone finally verified me, I hope this helps.

Simply answer. Yes. You don't need to be 18 and a passport is sufficient to complete the KYC process. You can already download YOTI and complete the verification there. Then when Pi asks you to complete the KYC process it will only take a few seconds.

You can/should/need to download an app called YOTI and set up your ID there and verify it with an official ID (if you worry about YOTI I recommend you watch my latest video that covers a lot of concerns people have). Once you've done that, you'll just have to wait and keep mining every day. Pi will one day show you a popup asking you if you have a passport/driving license/... and once you confirm that you'll be able to finish the KYC process by linking the Pi app with YOTI.

If you already completed the KYC process you'll see a green checkmark in your profile. If you didn't already complete it then you'll just have to wait for the invitation to do so.

You won't receive your KYC invite in Pi until you completed at least 100 days of mining. Once you get close to that you should already prepare your YOTI account.

You can select "manual" or "other country" on the screen and it will show you a code and different phone numbers in UK, US,... All you have to do is send the code via text message (SMS) to one of these numbers to complete your verification. That said, you only need to verify your phone number OR Facebook account, so you can also just link your Facebook account and it will be fine as well.
You can't "forget" the country during the KYC process because YOTI wouldn't let you continue without it. If you are talking about a form within Pi then don't worry.
I'm honestly getting tired of comments like this (not your fault). Do your own research and look into YOTI (which is used for KYC) and then decide if you want to keep your coins or not.

You'll get an invite in the Pi app at some point. Once that happens it will ask you to link with YOTI and that will complete the KYC process. So just wait for that invite in the Pi app.

When I complete my verification process in Yoti, that basically means I only need to link it to PI account or whatever will be needed, no additional verification will be needed? Because at the start I verified profile via Facebook and my name in there is written in cyrilic letter and for my country in Yoti only passport is viable document for verification, and in passport my name is written in latinic alphabet and letter, will that be a problem, or...? That's a good question that I can't answer for sure. I honestly expect that Pi will provide another chance for users to update their name and if they do you should definitely change it to latin as well. In the meantime, I think if you ask that question at www.reddit.com/r/PiNetwork/ someone their might know if it would be an issue.
Your phone number verification is needed so you can recover your account in case you forget your password and log yourself out. KYC is diffferent and obligatory to prove that you are one unique human being and prevent users from having multiple accounts.
That's for you to decide. You should in that case, check out the update video about the new KYC process at ruclips.net/video/hNDz7dmSewc/видео.html& and then maybe read up on how the new process actually works on the Pi Network blog.
Reach out to YOTI and with details about your ID and ask them if they'd still accept it. If not, you'll need to get a new ID (which you should have anyways). BUT don't worry you still have a couple of months time until Pi reaches phase 3.

Yes, it's required. If you don'T complete the KYC process your coins and account will eventually (after we reach phase three) be deleted. I recommend you also watch ruclips.net/video/PekumsFGWuc/видео.html as it answers a lot more questions.

Talk to YOTI support to see why they declined your documents and if you maybe have other documents they might accept. If they don't, you'll just have to wait for Pi to introduce alternative KYC methods.

I'd already prepare YOTI because YOTI can take more than 24 hours to verify your ID and Pi only gives you 24 hours to complete the process once you get the invite. If you are worried about your data being secure at YOTI I recommend you watch ruclips.net/video/PekumsFGWuc/видео.html and you'll see it's literally the safest solution for KYC verifications there is.
I'm not sure, but I think it will require a valid passport. Don't worry though, Pi will introduce alternative methods to complete the KYC process in the future as well.
You'd need to ask YOTI support to see if the IDs you have are sufficient. And yes, If you don't complete the KYC process, your account would eventually be deleted and your coins burned.
You have to wait to receive an invitation in the Pi Network app to link the accounts. Nothing you can do to really speed things up, so just keep pressing the ⚡️ icon in the Pi app daily and eventually you'll see your KYC invitation.
When I try to open pi app it says "pi keeps stopping" and the app doesn't open. It happens almost every time. Should I try clear data or clear cache or both? Thanks
Don't know, the app works fine on my phone. If you can't figure it out please report the issue + phone model and so on to the team using the contact form on the Pi Network website.
I already submitted membership for TPL, mine, and have read through the discord introduction steps. My only concern is the security of sending copies of our passports to their app. Have they taken any extra steps to reassure the community that our personal information will be safe?

Unfortunately, you can't, but it won't really affect you. Just wait until you receive your KYC invitation in the Pi app. You can't miss it, it's a huge popup that will show up one day when you open the app.
I'm a new Pioneer and there is no KYC on my Pi acct. The only verification options that are present are FB and Phone number. Does it appear after a few mining sessions?
You have to wait for the KYC invitation. This can take weeks or even a few months to show up. Until then you only need to verify either your phone number or link your Facebook account.
If it has 4 check marks like yours but my third check is email verification, does that mean I'm fully verified. I did yoti too but I am asking because it doesn't say I'm verified though and I haven't seen anything on my yoti about Pi. I been mining since about the same time as you and I tried to follow along and do everything as you did but it doesn't say verified I just have 4 checks. In that case, you likely did NOT complete the KYC verification. No worries, just wait a few days (maybe weeks) until Pi launches the new in-app KYC verification.
@christian, I am facing an issue with nationality in Yoti as I could not use passport since it had another name but another government ID to verify my identity which did not verify nationality - any idea if this is mandatory / yoti allows pi verification without nationality? Thanks
Does the YOTI account link work for not being able to verify my phone number? It says my account is verified through Facebook but not my phone number. I type in my phone number to verify but when I click send it says my phone number is already being used..? Not sure how to verify because I do not want to lose my coins
Not sure, they way I see it you need your phone number verified OR Facebook account connected AND KYC. So if you are unable to verify your number simply link your Facebook account instead.
In my profile at Pi it says Account verification and under that it has, phone number which is ok! Facebook verification which is also ok! And password which is also ok! Under password it says with grey small letters you're all set! Your account is secure. The thing is there isn't any KYC verification like it says to your profile in the video,so im ok? Or do i have to do the yoti verification?

You can't "forget" the country during the KYC process because YOTI wouldn't let you continue without it. If you are talking about a form within Pi then don't worry.

You need a VALID ID to verify your account so if it is expired you'll need to renew it to complete the KYC process.

When I complete my verification process in Yoti, that basically means I only need to link it to PI account or whatever will be needed, no additional verification will be needed? Because at the start I verified profile via Facebook and my name in there is written in cyrilic letter and for my country in Yoti only passport is viable document for verification, and in passport my name is written in latinic alphabet and letter, will that be a problem, or...? That's a good question that I can't answer for sure. I honestly expect that Pi will provide another chance for users to update their name and if they do you should definitely change it to latin as well. In the meantime, I think if you ask that question at www.reddit.com/r/PiNetwork/ someone their might know if it would be an issue.

Your phone number verification is needed so you can recover your account in case you forget your password and log yourself out.
KYC is diffferent and obligatory to prove that you are one unique human being and prevent users from having multiple accounts.

No advantage, you HAVE TO complete KYC or your account and coins will eventually be deleted.

Reach out to YOTI and with details about your ID and ask them if they'd still accept it.
If not, you'll need to get a new ID (which you should have anyways).

I'm not sure what you are trying to say with your comment? If you have problems with your ID in YOTI I'd recommend to ask YOTI support for help.

No. The FB account link shouldn't matter since it's meant to give you an option to access you account when you forget your password.

Talk to YOTI support to see why they declined your documents and if you maybe have other documents they might accept.

I'd already prepare YOTI because YOTI can take more than 24 hours to verify your ID and Pi only gives you 24 hours to complete the process once you get the invite. If you are worried about your data being secure at YOTI I recommend you watch ruclips.net/video/PekumsFGWuc/видео.html and you'll see it's literally the safest solution for KYC verifications there is.

Unfortunately, you can't, but it won't really affect you. Just wait until you receive your KYC invitation in the Pi app. You can't miss it, it's a huge popup that will show up one day when you open the app.

You have to wait for the KYC invitation. This can take weeks or even a few months to show up. Until then you only need to verify either your phone number or link your Facebook account.
If it has 4 check marks like yours but my third check is email verification, does that mean I'm fully verified. I did yoti too but I am asking because it doesn't say I'm verified though and I haven't seen anything on my yoti about Pi. I been mining since about the same time as you and I tried to follow along and do everything as you did but it doesn't say verified I just have 4 checks. In that case, you likely did NOT complete the KYC verification. No worries, just wait a few days (maybe weeks) until Pi launches the new in-app KYC verification.

Yes, your name must mach your official ID to complete the KYC process.

Don't worry. You don't need Yoti anymore. Pi will launch their own KYC solution in the Pi Network app or the Pi Browser soon.

Does the YOTI account link work for not being able to verify my phone number? It says my account is verified through Facebook but not my phone number. Not sure, they way I see it you need your phone number verified OR Facebook account connected AND KYC. So if you are unable to verify your number simply link your Facebook account instead.
In my profile at Pi it says Account verification and under that it has, phone number which is ok! Facebook verification which is also ok! And password which is also ok! Under password it says with grey small letters you're all set! Your account is secure. The thing is there isn't any KYC verification like it says to your profile in the video,so im ok? Or do i have to do the yoti verification?
You'll only see that AFTER you passed the KYC verification and the invitation to do that will appear "randomly" after some time.
