I think they broke up the grouping with nether realm forces, earth realm forces and netrual/other.

Its a breath of fresh air having these 3D era characters back in the game, woulda loved to have jax and cyrax as base characters but im happy Ed isnt agriad of change
Loved the fact Ed cut off so many staples. Played the game and I can genuinely see why he did what he did, and cut out so many regulars from the main roster. It’s mad refreshing, and also since we know we getting Takeda, Ermac and Quan Chi just makes it better
I know they are gonna add more fighters in DLC but I hate how fighting games rosters change. This one seems smaller
Mk11 has 25 base game characters
Mk1 has 23 base game characters
It’s smaller by a insignificant amount

Shujinko shouldve been in the main roster. Also did he just made the pose reference from Pai Mei in Kill Bill Vol. 2 he actually looks like that character
Feel like Sareena must have main storyline potential considering we’re back to Bi-Han version of Sub-Zero. I’m guessing we’ll get an MK11 Aftermath supplement that makes all the kameos fully playable.

@@user-zw4xz2mc2qnah it give more opportunities for mire characters, it makes the game have a balanced roster and not a nother Armageddon. No matter what your favorite character is still in the game,probaly.
@kelblox6104 not really. We will have more kameo chars than playable watch. Best chars will be kameos. Atleast they get fatalities to use

The game is going get a update tomorrow. Maybe by then it’ll fix several things.
Hopefully it’ll include filling in those last slots, because they’re bugging me greatly

What's so hard about getting a solid roster like mk 9, some decent skin selection, fatalities and good levels? Its like you can't win with every game theyve put out since Mk9
A great roster. but wish it also had a Shokan (especially Kintaro because he wasnt playable for ages), and a Cyborg (Id say Triborg as it has all in one)
Goro is a kameo.
Triborg wouldn’t work in this game only in x and 11 because if the variation system which isn’t in this game anymore

I agree. Kintaro has been left in the shadows since MK9. MK11 doesn't count since he is just a fatality of Shang Tsung.
On Side note i loving the score to this game. espcially in the cameo section with the stream running in the backround.

Im so glad n surprised they brought Havik, Reiko n Sareena back. Very interesring characters n really want to see em stay in a roster for a long time. Maybe it would be great If Hotaru, Dairou and Drahmin will be in next cameo. Also liked Motaro in cameo. Not as bad as I excepted
Its cool how you can have skorpion and sub zero during a match on your side as your playable character and kameo
The music, it makes me.... feel... as if I'm being taken on a journey to the past, and to the future. It's beautiful, serene, but also sad and existentually frightening. I don't usually expect a game about ripping people's skeletons out to make me feel from the music

I played it when I got home from school, I played every character but havik, smokes the best character no doubt

They don't exist in this new timeline or haven't transformed into that yet. Bi-Han is still Sub-Zero but he may die and turn into Noob Saibot yet, Kabal probably exists but isn't introduced yet, and Erron Black probably does not exist or if he does he's probably not an outworlder or probably was a contestant in a Mortal Kombat years ago and died off.
Aaron black is still fighting in Red dead redemption. He will come around when he is done.
Nobody knows if it's a dlc slot so stop saying it. Blank stage, base, and kameo. I'm sure they saved some suprises in the patch due to all the leakers
Bro the game is completely out now, the game is now fully data mined. Those blank slots are a character selection extender for dlc characters(similar to MK9). There will be dlc fighters, kameos, and stages. The only unlockable fighter is Havik. There are a few unlockable kameos you unlock by leveling up. There are no extra content to unlock past this other than skins.

They are probably not refined enough to be in the main roster. They aren’t going to put in the work making a full character and just arbitrarily not include them as playable
@kye4216 you can see in the past that people have managed to extract character and makes them playable. They have full move sets and animations so the main bulk is already there.

@@GothamGamingReviews That doesn't really make sense. Why do a blank fighter icon when they could have just left a empty space there? I'm certain there is a reason for the space that we don't know yet because they are making us wait until a later time. Maybe make us wait until the Standard Edition comes out next week so that everybody can enjoy the character.
The blank spot is character selection extender for dlc. Selecting it will open up a whole new character selection menu. You can mod the game to believe that you have a dlc character and it will allow you to select it, selecting it does what I just described. Hope this cleared up any confusion you had.
@@Unchainedful For stubbornness sake I say couldn't you have modded the DLC menu for this argument? Honestly they should have the spot have a symbol that shows that it is there for DLC. Besides the previous time they did that it was off to the side that had room for it. But it is odd that it is in a corner that makes it difficult to bring up a list of characters. Plus if there are supposed to be at least another six more characters then that list seems like it will be to big IMO. But oh well I think that isn't what that's there for but I will stop arguing about it now

This is a pretty solid starting roster, though I’m still disappointed that Noob’s not back.
I think we should be happy,cause we finally get to see him as Sub Zero and Decades of disappointment may end
I think the Sub-Zero here is the Sub-Zero that turned into Noob Saibot but I'm not 100%, haven't read up on the lore in a while

I'm glad they're taking their time with Noob story wise and really fleshing out Bi Han. Coz he always got killed within the first few chapters. It would be interesting to see how he dies in the future and what would happen to the clan. I alteast have Shang Tsung and Quan Chi to play as until then

The game looks great but I do miss the darker, grittier look of MK X. It just felt more appropriate for such a violent game.

The last character is Havik. If you mean the blank slot with the plus on it, then that is just a character selection extender for dlc.
I wish Sonya, Jade, Cetrion, Sheeva, Sareena, Kira, Jax, Kano, Kabal, Stryker, Kotal, Erron, Taven, other 5 mortal kombat 11 returning newcomers, and 14 newcomers were on the main Base roster and story mode
