    Excellent and honest review. Picking up my 2023 rubicon in a couple of days.
    We’ve never been 4WD’ing so really looking forward to a new experience.

      Hey Michael congratulations on your new rig. You will love them they are such a great, flawed but great car 😂 we are about to hit 80k and still love him. We will be doing a video shortly on our completed build for traveling fulltime.

    I drive my jeep gladiator rubicon up here north of Fairbanks Alaska. It has the 2 inch mopar lift with 35 inch bfg ko2s. I like my rig!

      @fernandoharo1661 nice. I really would love to step up slightly to the 35’s but with us looking to travel full time next year doesn’t make sense sadly. Will stick with the 34’s for now.

    37,836 miles on my JTR. Feel exactly the same. Agree on fuel economy- a lot of people putting bs figures out there- I could get those numbers too downhill, with a tailwind, driving 55 mph. But that’s not honest. I get about the same as you on 35 Wildpeak AT3Ws. Btw- another great tire that is goid on wet tarmac and rocks. I had Nitto Ridgegrapplers on my last rig that were also terrible in the wet.

    • @filthyoffroadadventures
      @filthyoffroadadventures  Год назад +2

      Would have loved to run 35's as they make them look so much better but its more hassle than its worth over here. Makes us all very jealous of the freedoms in the US. I am not sure if people quote the really low figures to make them feel better LOL. Have you had a trouble free run?

    • @dadventuretv2538
      @dadventuretv2538 Год назад +1

      @@filthyoffroadadventures yeah it seems crazy that in the land of offroading you guys are limited to 33s. I ran it about a year with the OEM 33s which were fine but the 35s def are nicer for airing down and even just that extra inch clearance has me avoiding scraping in certain places. Lift is coming this winter, probably AEV. And trust me, we have our stupid laws too.
      Been trouble free so far. Knock on wood. I put those miles on in 16 months, so high mileage. But just been routine maintenance so far. Love the rig. I have an Alucab canopy on her and it is perfect for me as a mountain biker- I have my mtb and all my mtb gear in there 24/7 along with all my offroading gear, some chairs, a table and hammock. So I can take off without even packing unless it’s a camping trip, then it’s just toss in tent (just got the Gazelle and what a difference in set up), grill, and cooking equip boxes and roll. Have fun out there on the trails. Our season is winding down here but you’re just getting started down there- kinda jelly. Lol

      just checked out some of your videos and that is a nice set up you have. Man must be tight with a Bronson in the back as much longer than my Trek Supercaliber LOL

    • @dadventuretv2538
      @dadventuretv2538 Год назад +1

      @@filthyoffroadadventures lol. Thanks man. Yup,, the Bronson XL size just fits straight. Any longer and I’d need to angle it. With my crazy schedule I never know when Im gonna get to ride, so having the bike and all my gear in there 24/7 def works well for me. That Supercal is a rocket. A buddy of mine who is big into XC has one and I rode it one time and wow, it rips the pedally stuff. Funny how well Gladiators and mtbs go together. Keep an eye on the channel for the rig overview.

    • @filthyoffroadadventures
      @filthyoffroadadventures  Год назад +2

      Good question. Vehicle upgrade will be looking to improve the suspension so at least shocks but may do stings too. Set up think the next upgrade will be looking at Jerry can holders, want to be able to get 4 x 20l (5 gal) in the rear and the challenge is allowing the rear tonneau cover to close.

    • @vicranger6876
      @vicranger6876 Год назад +1

      My main problem with jeep, too small of fuel tank. Need at least 50% more fuel ,but would love 75% more. My current truck has 36 gal with 16 mpg and I traded off my Jeep Rubicon 6 yrs ago when I needed a full size truck more than I needed the fun I was enjoying with my jeep.
      Have a great time and I have been lusting after the Gladiator in Rubicon again. You have to love the full 4 wd . Would love jeep to add a turbo to that 6 cy , it would really change driving the jeep.

      Hi. We are just about to click over 70k and all good so far except one issue with springs. This occurred on a very tough trip though the outback and had planned an upgrade when we got back so no big issue. Jeep would have fixed it but we did the upgrade instead. The only other thing is it does Ping from time to time.

    Did you say these cost 100,000? At least from what I can see it's more like low 70s full stop unless I'm missing something.

    • @filthyoffroadadventures
      @filthyoffroadadventures  Год назад

      Yep they have come back significantly over the last 6mths or so. You can now pick up a Rubicon for around mid to hight 80’s. They have reduced the spec to do this as they had crept up to mid 90’s for 2022. I love this car and is one of my favourite cars I have owned but not worth 90’s so glad they have come back.

      Ok so I'll definitely have a look. I have a 79 Toyota that's been on order for a couple of years but is due to be delivered in 6 months and of course quite a different vehicle in many respects. I will be interested to ask the dealer what's been stripped back to bring down the price

    • @filthyoffroadadventures
      @filthyoffroadadventures  Год назад

      @jbjb3372 all the important stuff like Diff locks and auto disconnect sway bar etc have stayed but have taken little things like front trail cam, changed trim levels etc. all the little nickel and dime stuff that adds up. Don’t get me wrong still incredible car and genuinely off road I do not think you will beat it. I will be putting up a video from Gordon country soon and sadly they make thinks look boring because they just walk up every. looks too easy 😂

      I know it’s crap but goes way further than that. We also can’t lift more than 50mm in most states and also can’t modify our fenders like so many can. Don’t get me wrong lots of people do but if it’s a daily you have to consider if it’s worth the hassle. We watch videos from the US and only dream of what they can do.
