Boo yow! The attitude Carmen showed to a perfect stranger was who she really was. Awesome life lesson that folks should keep in mind: treat everyone with kindness and respect no matter who they are. The good you do (and the bad) will come back to you.
"A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger." Proverbs 15:1. An attitude makes a big difference. It can be good or it can be bad.
Me, too. Not only interviewers consider their applicants on employment experience and job skills. They consider other factors such as appearance, attitude, speech, posture, and other things they do not tell the interviewees. These things make the difference between getting ahead and staying behind.
I love the line when she says “if that’s who you choose to be when you’re not yourself”… That speaks volumes and is a phrase that’s going to stick with me. If you’re going to act out of character be the type of person you’ll be proud of instead of someone you’ll be ashamed of. Treat others the way you want to be treated.
That means "God is love." 1 John 4:8. The woman, Carmen, fussed at the vice president. Carmen demonstrated a bad attitude, thus leaving a poignant and a bad example.
It’s great to be able to FINALLY watch a video where the bully/antagonist doesn’t get their way. I’ve been waiting for a video where the victim of the harassment gives out a taste of the medicine they were given by that person. It was a bit annoying seeing a character be rude/hateful/etc and then their victim just goes and gives them a job, pays their medical bills, allows them to accompany them to “THEE” event, etc. it’s nice to see that their poor actions don’t get rewarded or excused with simple “sorry’s” and puppy dog eyes.
This was a great lesson people need to learn no matter what the situation may be. I would not have hired her either, because personality and respect goes a long way.

Companies (especially minority-owned companies), have so much competition and have to work twice as hard as other companies, we can't afford to hire/train and the fire someone with this kind of attitude. Yes, first impression is very important during an interview (in this case before the interview) and you should be respectful to people and even to signs, some companies have signs that say "reserved to President, clients, VP, etcetera, and of course, always respect the sign for people with special needs.
