Absolutely horrendous. I met someone who actually was taken advantage of by their own father.
I had something much worst happen. It was an isolated thing. The whole family knew and we both were under 12. I never stopped thinking about it. Im 61 now and , I still feel unclean. Personally, I think if it's an isolated incident live with it and don't let it consume you. If the family never knew, I think one should let that family member know how you feel and if it makes a difference to you. Find a non confrontational way to bring it out to family. But ONLY if it makes a difference in healing.

Totally it happens at any state of time in life whether it's both family or strangers. It goes to any extent no matter what you do to prepare for it. because not only will they hurt you but unfortunately get you to cause the trouble as well. It's awful and indescribably disgraceful and a sin. Protect yourself from bad things and remember to tell anyone you know and get the help you need.

It was pretty messed up of how Dante molested his own sister and even tried to fix it by saying it was accident. Sexually harassing somebody is no accident. And I remember hearing a story about how Bobby Brown went through that same thing as a child, I read about it in an article. When he was a child, living with a foster family, the foster dad who was a pastor touched him. I was pretty shocked that a pastor would do that cause pastors, priests and nuns are usually spiritual people who would never do anything sinful like that. There’s nothing that sickens me more than people getting molested.
You're absolutely right. However, in nature, the bigger & stronger often preys upon the smaller & weaker. It's all about dominance. This practice was especially common in the south. Men would sexually abuse their sisters, female cousins, & even their daughters. Now of course it's not & has never been okay to practice this, but you can't change history. Have you ever seen the movie The Color Purple? It's a perfect example of this. As for pastors, they're sinners too. Just because you become a pastor/minister doesn't mean that you become a perfect person. You also have to be more clear when you say someone is "spiritual": there are good spirits & bad spirits in the world. Which ones are you listening to? Even if you decide to repent your sins & turn to the Lord, you always have an old nature. The flesh & the heart are desperately wicked; that's just the way we're born. It can't be helped. However, now that you have a new nature, you have a choice of which path you're going to follow

King David was furious at Amnon for what he had done, too. Absalom was very close with his sister. He took Tamar into his house to live with him after she was raped, he avenged what had happened to her, and he named his daughter after her.
I like how videos like these show what could have happened, had people made better decisions. If Amnon, who was a real person, had made better decisions, he would have realized that it's wrong to lust after and sleep with a relative and avoided hurting his family and what happened to him as a consequence. If Jonadab had made better decisions, he wouldn't have suggested that Amnon do what he did in the first place.
